I stayed at the Uplands Apartments in October 2022 with my two children (aged 7 and 11). We had a great time and the apartment gave us the space we needed to enjoy our stay in Jersey. The apartment was very clean and smelt fresh throughout. We had a full kitchen including microwave, oven, fridge and freezer, and we could get supplies for breakfast and dinner at the little Morrison's Daily around the corner. There were also basic supplies (milk, breakfast cereal and tea/coffee supplies) provided. The living/dining area was large with two sofas and a fold-down bed on one wall. There was extra cupboard space in the living room, at the top of the stairs and in the bedroom. There was a queen and single bed in the bedroom, and a desk. There was also a shower/bath and toilet in the bathroom upstairs. The plus points were the cleanliness of the entire property, ease of entry (the key was in a key safe so we could let ourselves straight in after getting in late from the ferry), and the extra room for the family. Points that might make the property not so ideal for some people could be the laundry facilities (require a day's notice to use), the children made clomping noises upstairs very easily - or could just be my kids I guess :) - so could be hard for people downstairs to sleep, and there was no dishwasher. Also the location is not the best for people without a car because it's quite a hike up the hill from St Helier.

Thank you for your wonderful 5/5 review of our St. Helier apartments. We are a purpose-built apartment complex and have concrete floors separating different apartments. We have recently competed fitting new high specification aluminium coated windows throughout the complex making the units even more snug. It is wonderful that your feel we are well equipped and that access worked well for you on arrival. Thank you once again.

We stayed here at the end of Sept 22,and were very happy with our stay. Apartments were bigger than expected and contained everything needed for a self catering stay.Clean and tidy if a little dated furniture wise. Bus stop right outside the complex too. A couple of negatives. The headboards were very heavily decorated which meant we had to watch out when lying back to prevent a sore head. Also had to turn off tv by the wall due to faulty remote. Didn't report it though as seemed a little petty. Other than that great stay and would stay again .

I base all my reviews on value for money. The price we paid in comparison to hotels an other accommodation at this time of year was really good. We stayed in apartment 1. The apartments are a little out of the town and ideally you would need a car as its quite hilly however i believe there is a bus route close by. The apartment is really spacious with a separate bedroom, bathroom and main living room and kitchenette. The kitchen had most utensils, a microwave, toaster and kettle. There was no foil, sauces etc. There was a little welcome pack of milk cereals tea etc. We did find a couple of dirty cups and forks however generally the apartment was clean. The TV had limited number of Uk channels however it was a Samsung so you can log into your own apps ie Netflix, Disney, Paramount etc. Wifi was generally good. We had a parking spot and there is a little communal garden at the back. All in all we were happy with the accommodation and would recommend and stay here again.

Thank you for your review and for expressing that you would recommend our Uplands Apartments and would stay with us again. We have enjoyed a busy twelve months since our last tripadvisor review. Since then, all kitchen, lounge and bedroom windows to all apartments have been replaced with high specification grey coated aluminium window units and these provide much improved performance and a more modern look to our purpose built apartments complex buildings. Thank you once again for your positive feedback and for staying with us.

Very comfortable apartment. Spacious rooms, comfy bed, good storage. .Great shower (over bath) Well equipped kitchen. Comfy sofa and small dining table. Grocery shop / off license two minutes walk away. 24 minute walk to central St Helier, 15 minutes walk via Tower Road to 1st Tower bus stop. Slower walking back up the hill! Only criticism were : Decor dated - orange pine furniture and dark carpet. Windows and door badly fitting and would be drafty in cold weather. No views apart from other buildings.

Thank you for your 5* review. This is greatly appreciated. Our apartments are purpose built and more generously proportioned, close by St. Helier with free parking nearby your own front door. The units are furnished in a country style and this proves popular with many guests though we understand that styles and colours are subjective. Thank you for your valued custom and feedback.

Very dated in style (owners could help by painting all the pine white and lighten the walls). Level of maintenance and cleaning was exceptional. Beware of the location given on some booking platforms - it is actually much higher up the hill.

Thank you for your kind review. Our popular apartments are all purpose built and well proportioned. During the winter months we have updated the decoration to 90% of our apartment kitchens. The unit you occupied will be one of the last to be upgraded in this respect so is yet to have this update. Please see our website to view the changes. Whilst the apartments are of modern construction, they are deliberately traditional in style being close to countryside walks and we are pleased you found the accommodation to be clean and serviceable. We are located in St. Helier and on a bus route. The apartments have free car parking right outside the buildings themselves for added convenience.

We stayed twice here over 2019 and on both occasions we were extremely happy with our stays. As there are five of us in our party, it’s difficult to find accommodation that will cater for us without having to pay for two rooms, which can get very expensive. Uplands solves that problem for us and at significantly cheaper rates than say Les Ormes. We booked the larger accommodation both times with 3 single beds upstairs and a pull down bed in the living room downstairs. Due to our personal sleeping arrangements, we even found room for a blow up ‘ready bed’ for our little one in the bedroom, meaning I could spread out on the double bed downstairs by myself. Whoop. The units could do with a bit of maintenance however were spotlessly clean and the female member of staff we spoke to was lovely and helpful. We made use of the buses in Jersey and there are two different routes nearby, one right outside the apartment and the other near the Morrison’s local supermarket 2mins walk away. The bus outside was approximately every hour in the morning although be aware the timetable is slightly different over the weekends with buses on a Sunday being much more limited. Only a fool would wait for over 30mins for a bus to turn up that isn’t scheduled, cough, cough. If you do happen to want to walk, cause a bus ain’t coming, it’s all downhill into town on nice and quite roads. We made use of The Monterey Hotel and were made to feel welcome there, after using there facilities we would walk to the Fire Station via millennium park and catch a bus up the hill back to Uplands. Millennium park is a great stop off point for young kids. The WiFi was good, constant hot water, small freezer compartment in the fridge ideal for those lovely Jersey ice cream tubs sold in Morrisons, other supermarkets are available. All in all would certainly use this accommodation again and will be doing as we have booked again for almost 2 weeks next summer. Can’t wait for another adventure in the Great Island of Jersey.

Thank you for your great review. We confirm that our Uplands Apartments are open in 2021 and have been well occupied when not subject to government restrictions over the whole of the past year. Fewer TripAdvisor reviews have been posted recently with our apartment guests understandably having other priorities just now, but our larger than average purpose built quality apartments have proved very popular. Remote check-in and independent external access to each apartment being key considerations for many bookers. We follow local health guidelines for each let. Stay safe and we look forward to welcoming you in 2021 when government restrictions allow.

Accommodation on a budget, functional but no frills. Facilities good, building a little tired and the pull down bed in the lounge was rock hard. Water pressure not brilliant but you are at a high point on the island. Close to the town and pretty much 20 minutes from every other part of the island. Happy with what we paid for and reasonable cost for 4 days in mid August. Good parking on site and shops within a 2 minute walk.

Thank you for your review and feedback. We are a purpose built apartment complex near St. Helier and are open all year. We do not have restaurant facilities but restaurant and bar services and an indoor pool are available at our nearby sister Monterey Hotel (5 mins drive). Please note that the Monterey Hotel closes in January and early February each year. Parking is free on site at the Uplands. Thank you for your review.

The apartment was well serviced, clean with a spacious bedroom. It was set up for three people with spare bed in the sitting room/dining area and kitchenette. The cooker was clean and the manuals were there. The only negative was the laundry facilities. I can understand that the washing machines and driers were housed in a separate building maybe not enough room with the current apartment layout. But the worst bit was that you were required to walk or drive (if you had hired a car) about 1/2 to 3/4 of a mile to the Norfolk hotel to pay for a token to operate driers and washing machines. This wasn't too disastrous for us but for a family with young children it would have made life difficult on probably a much deserved holiday. By all means don't supply washing powder but please make the laundry facilities more available - maybe put in a token dispensing machine if you really expect people to pay. Overall, Jersey is a fantastic place to visit.

Thank you for your kind comments. We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay. Instructions and options regarding the on site laundry are quite comprehensive in that Laundry facilities are available in the Guest Laundry situated in between both apartment buildings. The machines are operated using tokens at a cost of £2.50 per Wash and £2.00 per Dry. Liquid Washing Machine Capsules are also available at a cost of £0.75 per Capsule. These can be purchased from the reception desk at the nearby Norfolk Lodge Hotel, as stated or by contacting the office number given. These will be physically delivered, by arrangement, to the Uplands apartment. We hope that this alleviates your concern for others and is not normally an issue or problem. Finally, we are so pleased you liked your visit to Jersey. This is wonderful news.

My husband and I visited Jersey for the first time last week. We were not disappointed, what a lovely place! We stayed at the Uplands Apartments as wanted the freedom of self catering. The apartments are spotlessly clean, we had towel change twice and linen once in the week. The Housekeeper was very friendly and was cleaning every day ! We were left a bottle of wine as we were travelling for my husbands 60th Birthday, there was also water, milk, tea coffee etc. We would not hesitate to return here, the only thing is, the apartments are at the top of a hill on St Johns road, we walked every day but a bus stopped just outside.Well worth having a look at if you are thinking of visiting Jersey !

Booking was easy, plenty of instructions provided, apartment ideal. It was very clean and had everything needed for a short or longer stay. Wished we had booked for longer. As mentioned by others, the bedroom was well appointed with a very comfortable & large bed, handy bedside cabinets, good wardrobe space in the room with a small safe & chairs to sit on. Lounge, kitchen, diner in one large airy room - perfect for our needs. Local buses (2 routes) close to the apartment which run regularly & we chose not to hire a car as the buses covered the island & no where is too far to travel to.
