We were extremely disappointed, our room was unbearably hot and we did ask for an extra fan but were told no by a very off-handed person on reception . Eventually, Alex very kindly came to our room with a fan, which did make it slightly more bearable. The room was difficult to find as the whole place is laid out like a rabbit warren The rooms and bathrooms are very dated, Also the hotel is very poorly positioned with no facilities within walking distance, it requires a bus journey to go anywhere. The only good thing about the hotel was the breakfast which was very good.

Hotel Ambassadeur is well situated on the sea front outside St Helier in St Clements Bay. The view across the bay is stunning. The bus trip in to St Helier is easy although it's not too far to walk. Rooms are very comfortable but no air conditioning so a little too warm during a heat wave! The pool will soon cool you down though..not for the faint hearted. We stayed half board and the food and choices were both excellent. The staff are all friendly and helpful especially Helen. Would highly recommend the Hotel for any length of stay on Jersey.

It does what it says on the tin. An average 3-star hotel. Breakfast times are far too early. I'm supposed to be on holiday having a lay in, but I have to be downstairs and ordering breakfast by 9am... honestly ruined my holiday a little bit. The food itself was okay but very inconsistent. I had the veggie breakfast almost every morning and sometimes it had one sausage, sometimes two. Sometimes one egg, sometimes two. Once it came without any mushrooms. The rooms are bang average. The bathroom was a in between mint and olive green which is how I imagine old people's bathrooms looked in the 70s. The shower water pressure is so low and there was limescale covering the shower head. Also, there was hair in the plug hole. There was no air con, although we were given a fan. However, we also needed the windows open due to the heat and the back of the hotel was so noisy with workers outside in the morning and people leaving late at night. The heated towel rail was ON in July/August which is insane. No mini fridge in the room for water. However, the atmosphere downstairs in the bar was nice and chilled. The staff are friendly and approachable. The pool is a nice temperature. Decent distance from St Helier with a direct bus route from outside the hotel. Beach right on the doorstep. I would potentially stay here again but definitely not if I had to get up that early for breakfast again. A 10am finish or even 9:30am is much more acceptable for holidaymakers.

Room Tip: Prepare to get up early for breakfast. Probably an idea not to stay here in summer due to no air...

We had a lovely long weekend on Jersey visiting friends, but due to COVID we’re unable to stay with them, so a last minute booking brought us here, and goodness how lucky we were! From the moment we arrived the staff could not have been more welcoming or accommodating. We were able to check in earlier than stated, were helped getting milk for our baby boy, and greeted with smiles all over the hotel. Our room was enormous and had an amazing sea view with big glass windows looking out. It was an amazing hot weekend too, but we just kept the big black out curtains shut through the day to avoid the room getting too hot! Special thanks to the reception team and the breakfast staff for being extra lovely throughout our stay. We would love to return! Thank you!

My wife and i came for a few days for my grand daughters school prom , stayed at this hotel and we were delighted , paid a little extra for the room with a view , well worth it , staff where brilliant even helped set up a few balloons etc for a photo shoot of my grandaughter in her prom dress , the room was quite spacious and really comfortable , I would recommend this hotel to anyone who comes to jersey for a holiday or any reason , by the way the view from our room encompassed the whole of the bay it was stunning , well worth the extra small expense will be returning to this hotel again without a doubt

Had a nice one week stay (18-25 June) at this hotel ,in a nice location as you're right opposite the beach! Also nearby is the bus stop and a very handy Marks and Spencer food outlet shop, ideal for buying extra water and other bits and pieces. Our room was adequate the beds were comfortable, unfortunately there was no air-con luckily it wasn't too hot just a little stuffy at times - leave the windows open - no safe for keeping your valuables hidden a mini fridge would have been nice but other than that everything else was OK. Full marks to the cleaners ,the rooms were cleaned daily and were immaculate! Breakfast was very good albeit with a limited choice neverthless the food was nice and the table service from the friendly staff was excellent. Location wise it's about a ten minute bus ride from St Helier (the numbers 1 & 16 buses stop just outside the hotel) if you use the buses regularly then buy a buss pass from the bus station we bought a two day pass for £16 very good value and there's plenty to explore such as Jersy Zoo The War Museums and further afield Gorey Castle and the resorts of St Aubin and St Brelade (our favourite with a fantasic beach). Overall would I come here again, yes but I'd recommend you try for a room with a sea view!

Upon arrival the check in was fine and staff seemed friendly with free parking but this changed as we got into our room. The bathroom was very dated with paint peeling off the toilet seat and no water pressure in the shower. The room was also very hot and unable to open the balcony door overnight and very cautiously in the day as it was a shared balcony with next door!! So nothing stopping people walking into your room unless it’s locked and no other windows. Breakfast staff Were not very friendly and the swimming pool had bird feathers init so avoided that. Wouldn’t stay here again.
