We are regular visitors to Jersey but our stay at St Brelade's Bay hotel this year was truly exceptional. Yes, it's a luxury hotel in a stunning location but the care and attention lavished on guests is quite exceptional. All departments of the hotel share the same warmth and friendliness that really makes this hotel different. Despite the well publicised problems in the hospitality industry recruiting staff St Brelades is remarkable in maintaining their customer service. In the restaurant established staff such as Hugo, Jose, Licinio and Fabio were wonderful, but they have also brought new staff such as Keitha, Soobraj and Rutna rapidly up to the hotel's traditional level. Front of house staff Jack, Gary, Caitlyn, Elliott and Viktor could not be more helpful, while Stephen is, as always wonderful everywhere in the hotel! The gardens were superb this year, tended with great dedication by Luis, Miguel and James. Cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.

Just spent a week at the hotel before and after our son's wedding on the island. This hotel 'feels' different and I believe it's because it's a family owned place rather than part of a chain. Public areas and rooms very clean and food to a good standard with plenty of choice for breakfast which we included in our booking. Our room (71) was a little disappointing as it was smaller than envisaged. This was important considering all the luggage/wedding outfits we had with us. Not a massive issue but would have liked a bit more space to move around. Staff stored our cases and removed a chair from the room to help with this. Sleep quality was very good and bed comfortable, but no AC in our room (open the doors and let the sea breeze in!) and some of the decor is perhaps ready for an update. What sets this place apart is 100% the staff. During our stay we used the gym/outside areas and gardens/restaurant/spa/bar and I just cannot fault the service levels we received. All staff were very friendly, extremely well presented, professional and more than helpful. I would particularly like to thank Stephen Kizaro whose beaming smile and 'nothing is too much trouble' attitude should be acknowledged. The gardens and floral displays clearly take a lot of work to maintain but they are worth it and a big asset to the hotel. The location is superb with spectacular views across the bay and I would not hesitate to book again next time we travel to Jersey.

Lovely hotel in a wonderful spot. Very capable staff. Spotlessly clean. Excellent breakfast. Fantastic walking in both directions along the coast and amazing beach for sandcastles and Swimming. This has to be 200 characters, which seems silly because succinct writing is a skill and I’ve already said all I need to say.

We called for drinks only and really enjoyed what we had. The internal decoration of this hotel is superb. What a fantastic view out over the bay. The staff were so friendly and helpful. They are an asset to the place.

We have just returned from four nights at this lovely hotel. Our room was clean, comfortable and spacious with room for all our stuff. The balcony was quite large and had a good view of the sea and beach but could do with a bit of t.l.c. Still, a good place to sit in the evening. Every member of staff we met was pleasant and helpful. We only ate breakfast in the restaurant and that was very good with a large selection of hot and cold dishes on the buffet. The gardens are beautiful and there are plenty of loungers to relax and still only be a short distance from the pool. The Petit Port Cafe near the pool is excellent for drinks or lunch. The location is perfect, being directly opposite the fabulous beach. The bus stop is a short distance away, making it easy to visit other parts of the island or for going out to restaurants in the evening. All in all a wonderful few days and we would certainly stay here again.

While the hotel is in a beautiful location, very comfortable with well manicured gardens and access to a Great gym we did come across a few issues in our four-day stay. The food was the main issue, we didn’t have a breakfast without something being forgotten, arriving wrong or taking a long time. When eating dinner in the restaurant my entree Plaice was over cooked and bland, when explaining to the server her reply was “oh that’s a shame” The food in general was underwhelming. The rooms are comfortable but can not cope with any kind of summer heat, inside is very stuffy and the lack of AC is apparent. The bedroom curtains are not fitted well meaning the room is bright from when the sunrises, not great if you enjoy your sleep. It’s a good hotel but there’s definitely room for improvement.

Another great holiday experience. Hotel staff go out of their way to ensure your holiday goes well. Not the cheapest venue but worth it for the relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. View from our seafront room would be hard to beat anywhere in the world. Pleasant easy walks from hotel, good bus service and large car park. Within the hotel, a first class gym, spa, indoor and outdoor pools and beautiful gardens. We will definitely be going again.

This was our first ever visit to Jersey, and we could not have chosen a more fabulous place to stay. Beautiful traditional hotel with impeccable service everywhere. Spotlessly clean, and all the Staff are fantastic. Beautiful pool terrace restaurant, which we made full use of every lunchtime. Lovely swimming pool, and the views from the hotel were absolutely gorgeous, what a beautiful beach at St.Brelades. The hotel gardens are fantastic, with some amazing plants, truly tropical. The food was absolutely superb, fine dining at it’s best. We will be back, but it will be next year as we have numerous holidays booked through this year. So glad we have found another amazing hotel in such a beautiful place. We will see many of the staff in Barbados at Christmas, as we are booked into the Lone Star for dinner on 30 December, so it will be lovely to catch up with them.

Stayed for 3 nights over a weekend to celebrate our anniversary. Check in process was quick and easy, our earlier request for an early check in was met and we were quickly shown to our room. Room was on top floor with a sea view, well equipped and of good standard. Hotel overall is first class, all areas are spotlessly clean and very polite helpful staff always on hand. Indoor and outdoor pools are well looked after, garden area adjacent to the outdoor pool is a very relaxing area to sit and handy for the outdoor bar / food area. All indoor and outdoor areas are well served with Wi-Fi. There is ample free parking in the hotel car park. We were only bed and breakfast so only used the restaurant in the morning, breakfast is buffet style although there are some options available for table service from the menu. Hotel has its own direct access to a first class beach. Good points- Plenty of them Bad points- None noted. Would I stay here again, most definitely.

We have been staying here many times before and after a few years it was so lovely to be back. The staff are all so wonderful, welcoming and friendly and the location is just the best on the island. Nothing is too much trouble and the breakfast and all food is excellent. The afternoon scones, jam and clotted cream are the best! Lovely facilities including the gardens, outdoor heated pool, tennis court and relaxing bar and lounge areas. Rooms can vary in size but definitely worth a balcony or at least a sea view room.
