We had a wonderful 7 night stay in perfect weather. Our sea view room was extremely comfortable with a lovely view across St Aubins Bay. A small fridge would have been nice though. Breakfast was good but would recommend an early slot as items on the buffet tended to run out quickly and were not always replenished. The pool area was very nice and very peaceful. There was also a nice lounge area inside. Parking was conveniently on site. It was a nice short walk down into the bay where there was a good choice of bars and restaurants. All in all a perfect location.
We stayed in a sea view room, and what a view. The view is spectacular. The hotel is laid back and relaxing. We would recommend to book Restaurants in advance of your trip All in all a thoroughly enjoyable stay of 4 nights.
Third visit to this fantastic hotel. Staff are friendly but professional and provide high quality customer service. As with a lot of hospitality venues the hotel seemed to be a little understaffed this year but even so the staff go above and beyond. Excellent breakfast, beautifully refurbished rooms and great location. Sea View rooms give wonderful views over St Aubin’s Bay all the way to St Helier. Lovely pool area with heated pool. Only downside was some guests were allowed to reserve tables at breakfast whilst others were not. This needs addressing.
What a wonderful hotel the Somerville is from breathtaking views to very high quality of staff service , very clean , lovely rooms and great restaurants to eat in down at the harbour as well as the excellent hotel restaurant, get yourself down to the Somerville you won't need disappointed, our first visit to Jersey and it won't be the last especially with all the beautiful beaches aswell.☀️😁
Great stay, njoyed the pool and the grounds fabulous stay can't wait to come back again. All staff were very friendly and approachable. Reception team were great sorting out additional requests prior to arrival. Room also had a fan for use on hot night's which came in handy.
I live in jersey but was gifted a voucher to stay at the Somerville, it was a really hot day and the pool was perfect. We enjoyed a 3 course meal for dinner and it was lovely to sit by the window with the views of the harbour and the island. Leanne our waitress was very nice and friendly. The room was lovely and the bed was so comfy I could of happily stayed another night or two!!
This was our first trip to Jersey. The Somerville was a friendly, relaxed hotel with great food, great staff, great facilities and amazing views. The pool area was super with comfy loungers and attentive staff ready to support at any point.
Beautiful hotel, excellent service, staff very polite, helpful and very friendly , fast check in service, room was clean, comfortable The breakfasts were delicious the meals in the restaurant were perfect. The ladies who served us where from Antigua they were soooo friendly, polite and very professional, they made us so welcome
Beautiful building, great views, fairly central. Friendly staff. Breakfast had a good selection each morning. If you have the afternoon tea you will be very spoilt. Evening restaurant had a great choice and compared well to other places we ate. Lots of walks locally.
Great location overlooking St Albins bay. We got about by bus which worked fine for us, they run frequently to St Helier and from there anywhere else on Jersey. The hotel staff and facilities were great, also breakfast (we didn’t have any other meals). Our 2 niggled were 1) the hotel WiFi is not secure 2) our room was at the back at street level, and in hot weather it was impossible to get a good night’s sleep - no air conditioning. Just be careful what room you get!
