This is one of the few reasonably-priced motels in the Memphis-Nashville I-40 corridor--and nevertheless more expensive than in the pre-COVID era. You get what you pay for. It was fine though the bathroom had a strong smell, hopefully of disinfectant. Bathroom door always caught on the frame, evidence of quick or cheap construction. The loveseat cushions were so soft you sink way down and can hardly get out without help. No luggage rack in the room. They advertise a "continental breakfast" which means no eggs or ham or fruit. It was simple but OK. This is the place to stay if you need to save money.
Dodgy motel with exterior walkways and room doors facing the weather. The quiet half in back is oddly reserved for smokers only! They ask for ID with attitude like they don't trust you and then demand you take off your mask so they can "confirm your face". Weird. Very noisy rooms. You not only hear lots of road noise but also every other room around you - both sides, top and bottom and behind you. Staff here always seem nasty. We thought it was just a one-time thing with one person but each time we have similar experience with staff just being generally ornery. Like you just woke them up and they're in a bad mood or something. No concept of hospitality or customer service, just selfish and mean spirited. Like they're doing you a favor by letting you stay or something. Just odd, each time. NOT recommended. We will NOT stay here again. Sad. Any other hotel or motel in the ares would be MUCH better than this one. Stay elsewhere.…
This hotel was nice and not a bad price either. Way better than the quality inn down the street. Do not stay there. The beds here are very comfortable and its pretty quiet nicely located as well. The price was not bad either
First, the "needs drastic improvement" feedback: if you cannot tolerate cigarette smoke, you may need to avoid this motel. I paid for a nonsmoking room and was assigned room 120. Clearly they have tried to alleviate the smoke permeation. There was a very strange smell when I walked in - like some kind of deodorizer. Within 3 mins. the smoke odor was horrible. This ruined what otherwise would have been a good stay. The positive: the motel is in a safe, quiet area near lots of restaurants. The room was large, renovated nicely and spotless, but I had to use a ton of Lysol to keep a week's worth of clothes from absorbing that relentless smoke odor. Sadly, despite the room's many pluses, I can't go back to the odor of chain smoking. I did not get the nonsmoking room I paid for and will take it up with management. If you are okay with smoke odor, I think you'll enjoy your stay.…
The front desk lady was great. The room was comfy and clean. The only thing I didn't like was no late checkout for diamond members. We woke up late and had 30 minutes to get our. But as for clean and up to date this is it!
