Detailed Reviews
Roamstead was an excellent home base for us while exploring the Smoky Mountains. Staying in a two bedroom cabin, there was plenty of living space, with a/c, wifi and a full kitchen. There was time to spend time on the porch, chat around the fire pit, lounge at the pool and sit in the patio/movie area. The staff was welcoming and very proud of their resort, keeping everyone entertained while they were on hand: tea tastings, homemade cookies, movie nights, plus corn hole available for all!
Cabins were very roomy. Beds are close to the ground, but still comfortable. Rooms have clocks and plenty of outlets. Rooms do not have closets, and there's limited "surface areas" so have to live out the suitcase/backpack a bit. Bathroom had all amenities, including a hair dryer. Towels available, with exchangs at front desk as needed.

Property's Favourite Review
We’ve been coming to this property for over 10 years now. First as Jellystone, then Imagination Mountain. We were a little dismayed when we heard last year that our family’s favorite summer spot got sold but after seeing the work the new owners were doing, we decided to make the trip.
We are so happy we did. They have done such an amazing job with the place, we’re already planning our next stay.
We stayed in one of the new Maple cabins. The mini splits they have kept the air just right. The bed was super comfy and while the kitchen was smallish, it did what we needed it to do. Sure, the arcade is gone and there’s no TV but guess what, you go camping to get away and disconnect and we definitely did.
The common areas are beautiful. The pavilion with outdoor fireplace was perfect on a cool autumn night. The renovations done to the main lodge are beautiful too. The pizza was tasty and made fresh to order.
We cannot rave enough about this place. Go see it for yourself. You’ll definitely wanna go back soon. Maybe we’ll see you there!

We stayed 2 nights at Roamstead. The staff were exceptionally welcoming and helpful. This is a great place for families with a pool, playground, clean bathhouse, and games and activities. Our tent site, #55, was nice and sat right up on the creek - it was peaceful falling asleep to the sound of the water. The only critique is the awful margarita, which was $10. The free coffee, however, was appreciated. Overall, Roamstead was very clean, probably the cleanest campground we've stayed at. We would highly recommend Roamstead without hesitation.

The only thing I can say to summarize our stay was “they’ve thought of everything!” From the communal space with yard games, fire pits, music and movies - to the free coffee in the morning - to the beautiful communal bath house…this place was so lovely! Our pop up snuggled up against a beautiful stream that provided our sound machine for the night and the perfect hub spot for adventuring into the National park, Dollywood and Pigeon Forge. We cannot wait to come back! Big shout out to the amazing staff for all they are doing to make this place warm and welcoming.

Wow, what an amazing place! Brand new camping and cabins…more like gourmet camping lol. We had a great time and highly recommend! It’s also LGBTQ friendly! Beautiful grounds, group gas fire pits as well as your own fire pit. Cabins, yurts, rv sites, tent sites. Espresso machine in lodge as well as food menu and Merch.

Roamstead was the perfect place for our weekend getaway. The staff were all super nice and the Yurt we stayed in was amazing. It stayed warm even with the low night temperatures and everything worked well.
