Rude employee- bug on pillow- very rude stating it’s just a beetle and I should accept it, threatened my daughter and husband and yelled and was rude to me on phone. Refused a refund and didn’t offer a room change until later after she had called the police on my daughter. She didn’t realize I was on phone and heard everything. Broken fridge, stickers stuck to floor, grime laying in sink
Rooms/ overall outside appearance run down and dirty. Needed to purchase cleaning supplies to make room stayable Pool small. Noise loud throughout the first night. Breakfast good. Check in/ out simple. Staff courteous/ friendly. Sink poor design. Sprayed out of sink if turned up other than a trickle. Air conditioning cut on/ off throughout the night causing room to feel hot/cold.
Staying here was a bit of a mixed bag. To me, this hotel is a great 39.99 hotel but of course, hotels aren't that cheap anymore. Someone else checking in with cash, paid 96.00 plus a 50.00 deposit. Because it was cash. And the room was adequate, but there were issues. There was an issue with the tv, the bathroom was stained on the walls, and the toilet dispenser was partly pulled out of the wall. There was a standing lamp that was leaning against the curtains because the base was damaged. On the plus side, staff was great. They had an electric charger (which not many hotels have). It was close to food and shopping. The biggest issue for me was the noise. And you can't predict that. There were a lot of people outside talking and smoking because they couldn't get a smoking room. There was a guy working on his truck. And I swear that truck did not have a muffler. And there was traffic noise. I ran the fan all night and I still heard traffic.…
The room was large and roomy. We didn't partake of the free breakfast as my husband is diabetic and didn't want what they offered. We got there eaery and had to pay for an extra day after being told there would be no problem checking in early.
I rented two rooms for a family get-together. The first night they had me in a room upstairs, I asked if I could be switched for the remainder of the visit to a first floor room because I have problems getting up stairs, and the front desk staff was wonderful at accommodating my request, thank you Melissa! The next day I had trouble with my room key, the housekeeper noticed I was having trouble and found the maintenance man and had it promptly fixed. You have a really good staff there so I hope you treat them right because that is what made the stay for me.
very nice, the room was clean and comfortable. Always had fresh towels. and coffee. important when you need to be at work at 0400. I had two double beds. kept my suitcase and laid the items i needed daily out.
If you're like us and waited too long to book a hotel when at Clemson on a football weekend, you may be forced to stay here. The prices more than double and the place is gross. There is no way I could sleep on whatever gross pillows they had on the bed, so we went to Walmart and bought a cheap pillow and pillowcase. The bed was ridiculously lumpy and there were roaches dead in the corner when I woke up. My husband's response was to not look too closely at anything. UGH. Do what you can to NOT stay here.
Non smoking room reeked so bad of cigarette smoke that it stunk up my clothes and bag. Sink Plumbing fixtures loose, nearly inoperable shower control, cracked toilet caulked back together. Floor, bedspread, furniture were very grubby.
We booked a night here to be near Prisma Health Oconee Hospital for a family crisis. While it is basically across the street from the hospital, the motel was not nice. The lobby and staff were pleasant enough, but the room was smelly and the atmosphere of the motel in general was not nice--seemed like a rather transient crowd. Not an ideal vacation spot. We ended up not staying and forfeiting our payment.
The floor in the room was dirty...you could tell it was a quick clean, the blanket on the bed had burn holes, the furniture was thread bare with the stuffing hanging out. The only good things were the hot water, water pressure and the help we had to ask for as they had to reset our heater which didn't work, our door wouldn't unlock after 3 sets of keys..they had to reset the door lock too...the coffee in the lobby was pretty good too. The location is good for restaurants and close enough to the town. On a whole 1 star would be generous.
