Me and my girlfriend decided to give this place a try because we were looking for just a simple place, nothing fancy and booked here for 4 nights. We had a ocean view king and room was super clean and spacey. Our only problem was our fridge didn’t cool properly but they had maintained to come up and the problem was rectified. A little noise at times from other balconies but overall I would stay here again. If your looking for a comfortable place that don’t have all the fancy amenities that big resorts do because your on a budget like us, this is the place. Pool was very nice and very clean. Only suggestion is the door to our room could have used a deadbolt. We felt very safe here though and loved the fact we were only 5 minutes from Broadway and close to many choices in restaurant. Definitely recommend to anyone who can’t afford $200 hotel rooms.

I couldn’t sleep with the noises of the others rooms. The bathtub didn’t work properly the hot water, One towel have stain of blood, the outlets have stains of coffee. The staff of reception doesn’t do they work like it supposed you have to call someone and wait almost half hour to come to the reception. The hide extras charges until you leave the charged you. I would avoid this hotel for this price you could get something better. The parking is limited and cannot accommodate Ford F450. The only thing I liked it was the proximity to the ocean. And the sound of the waves.

Hi David, Thank you for your feedback regarding your recent stay with us, we appreciate it. We would like to confirm that at no point were any of these issues communicated to us during your stay. Our guest services are available via phone call or text to respond to any issues during your stay. We would have gladly found a solution for you whether it was replacing linens, performing maintenance, addressing noise concerns, moving you to a different room or providing a complimentary upgrade if we were made aware. Your initial message to us actually stated that you enjoyed your stay with us and none of this was mentioned. Regarding the "extra charges" you are referencing this is our set policy for pets which is clearly listed on all of our booking channels prior to making a reservation. Pets are accepted upon request and you did not inform us you were bringing a pet with you. We would have gladly provided this information to you at any point in time. Thank you for staying with us once again and we wish you the best of luck in your future travels.

We didn't care for this hotel at all and we left to go home early instead of staying for the second night we paid for. I wanted to support a smaller business, and we needed a pet-friendly hotel, which can be tough to find. The room itself was clean, but when we saw that our room was directly opposite the entrance to the hotel, less than 10 feet from both the door and the check-in area, right at the bottom of the stairwell AND next to the ice machine, we knew this would not end well. And that was before we opened the door to our room ... then our hearts sank. Husband had booked online believing 'pool deck' meant we had a balcony. He wanted me to have a nice view. :-/ Sadly it meant the rear door to our room literally opened onto the pool deck on the ground floor; I could see a bit of beach and ocean beyond the pool fence and parking lot and through the perma-fogged window. :-/ Luckily no one used the pool in the short time we were there, as even though I shoved (our own) towels under all 3 of the doors in the room, including one to an adjoining room occupied by a full-time resident (nice man, and quiet) -- the noise level 24/7 was just too high. We literally could not relax, much less get any sleep all night long. Kids were screaming and shrieking at all hours. Kids could have been from either of the two high-rise resorts that flank the Beverley, we couldn't be sure, as both pools were on either side of us and the exterior walls are paper thin. I can't imagine what it would be like to stay at this hotel during the summer when MB is packed with people. ZERO security in place at BBH other than cameras, which are only good after the fact. The doors to the hotel are wide open all day and all night and again, steps from the door to our room. The only other positives: Staff seemed perfectly nice, and there are a few decent restaurants within walking distance, which you'll want since the parking lot at the BBH is tiny and very, very tight. Once you're parked you won't want to move your car much. Starbucks and Ben & Jerry's are just a few blocks up in both directions (yes, really); River City Cafe has great burgers and service; and Donald's was good and reasonably priced for breakfast. IF you can get a cheap rate, IF you're hanging out by yourself, IF you just want to be steps from the beach, IF you don't mind no-frills and IF you can sleep through noise all night long, BBH will likely work just fine for you. We wouldn't be mad but for the price we paid. Between the pet fee, the silly 'resort' fees, taxes and all, we spent $400+ for one night of disappointment and no sleep. Never ever again.

Room Tip: Don't stay on the ground floor. Bring earplugs. Shush screaming kids in the halls. :-/

Hello, Thank you for your feedback regarding your recent stay with us. We appreciate it and we're glad to hear you enjoyed our convenient location, clean rooms, nearby amenities, and friendly staff. We apologize for any inconvenience. We would like to confirm that we explicitly state our pool view rooms do not have a view and face out towards the pool. This is clear on all booking channels prior to booking and we are happy to go over room types as well if you have any questions. Our rooms with a view of the ocean with a deck are also clearly stated on all booking channels and we encourage our guests to research these details before booking a room. I'm not sure what was communicated but if your grievances were expressed to our front desk I'm sure we would have gone about finding a solution for you whether it be moving your room, upgrading or responding to any noise or discomfort you were experiencing. We enjoyed hosting you and look forward to welcoming you back soon for an improved stay!

We decided to take a one night trip to Myrtle Beach just to get a break from all of the craziness. First off, we got a phone call on our drive down for my email address. You have to fill out an online form for check in, and then email them your license plate number and a picture of your ID. That's fine, but it would have been a lot better to ask for it the day before your reservation instead of on the drive down. We got there and the clerk was locked behind a locked door and we had to yell through the door for check in. Keys were left out on a table with room numbers on them. Don't know what's stopping others from taking the keys. They were still making up the room (202) when we got there after 3 pm so the floor was still wet when we went in. The room was clean and it's a cute boutique motel. They have a coffeepot, sink, stovetop, fridge, and microwave, and also supply dishes, pans, and silverware. We had a balcony room and a nice view of the ocean. There is a safe, but it had been locked by the previous renters and we couldn't get into it. The balcony had two chairs on it. There is a small pool, but no hot tub. There is also beach access. One of the problems for us was that the door had to be forced closed to lock, plus the top deadbolt was useless since the doorframe was cut away at that point. See the picture. And the bottom deadbolt would not turn at all, so it was useless. We ended up forcing a towel under the door to try and make sure that no one could break in, and we put a chair by the door so we'd hear someone if they tried. Myrtle Beach has had a few shootings recently, so we wanted to be sure that we were safe. Also, I could not take a relaxing bath because there was no plug. The walls and ceiling are somewhat thin, we could hear the people upstairs walking around. And this isn't the motel's fault, but we were woke before midnight by a fireworks show put on by partying youth out on the beach. This went on for a long time. I was just ready to call the police when the police showed up. I'm guessing that others called. Youth in the motel next to us were rowdy and loud also. I would not stay here again, or anywhere else on Ocean Blvd in Myrtle Beach. North Myrtle Beach or someplace way south are a better choice for couples who are not interested in a party environment. We did not get a lot of sleep.

Hi Casey, Thank you for your feedback regarding your recent stay with us at The Beverley Beach House. We appreciate it. We're so glad you enjoyed our clean comfortable rooms and apologize for the inconveniences. Currently we send a welcome email and digital registration to reduce contact between staff and our guests during the ongoing Covid-19 crisis. These efforts are being implemented for the improved safety of our guests and staff and are not the usual method of checking in. We apologize for other room based inconveniences (safe, lock, bath plug). We do have a contact number to call or text during your stay and we would have definitely been able to assist you with these issues. We do apologize once again. Thank you for your feedback once again and we look forward to welcoming you back soon for a hopefully improved experience. The Beverley Beach House
