Country place inn and suites is an absolutely terrible place to stay. Came here because of the decent ratings and short distance to attractions. However, this motel is filled with people who live here and have no care or respect for the property. Our room overwhelmingly smelled of smoke, to the point that no air freshener or open windows would rid the awful smell. Even after leaving, the stench from the room has stayed on all of our bags and clothes. Our room was not insulated and was absolutely freezing. WiFi did not work in our room at all and my boyfriend had to do his work in the parking lot. We complained to the manager about the WiFi and he said that there “must be too many people on it right now”and to “try again later”. Surprise suprise, WiFi never worked. The shower and hot water also did not work so we were stuck taking cold baths. The toilet barely flushed and floor was wet upon arrival. It showed signs of a recent breakage and there was a soaking wet plunger next to it. Carpet was filthy and showed dirt and old puke stains. It was evident that no cleaning has been done to the room between guests. Door lock was also broken and manger said to “just keep trying to turn it different ways”. There was no phone or clock in the room. The continental breakfast was a lie and consisted of 1 pot of coffee and no food for the entire motel to share. Please, do not waste your money and stay here. The only good reviews are from people who have no other reviews and probably have to rate it five stars to live there.…
Since I have checked in the management has been nothing but nice to my family and I. Our room was clean smelled great I have had no problems here at all I would recommend this place to everyone They are priced well have weekly rates to
We stayed at this motel for 3 nights. Upon arrival, the manager asked us if we would need the room to be serviced during our stay. I told him that fresh towels everyday would be great. He then asked if we wanted the linens changed daily, I told him no. The manager did accommodate my request for a 1st floor room, however, Room 102 smelled as if a cat litter box had been dumped inside of it and never cleaned. We ended up going to a local dollar store and purchasing some scented candles to try and keep the odor down. This is a basic, rather outdated motel. The price per night, ($100.00) most likely increased due to the NASCAR event that weekend, in my opnion was a bit high for the amenities ( none) that were provided. Bring your own toiletries and towels, otherwise you will be disappointed with what is provided. We returned to the property Sunday evening around 7:30 pm and found our room was not made up, nor were there any fresh towels. When I went to the office and spoke with the manager ( the same person all weekend) he did send over fresh towels but when I advised him that the room smelled like cat urine, he looked at me as if I had insulted him. For those wondering, I did not seek a replacement room on day 1 because I was advised the property was sold out. Since we were in the area during the NASCAR weekend, there were no other properties with vacancies in the area we were staying. Great location to the Pocono Raceway, but beware. Also, bring flip flops, as you do not want to walk on the carpet in the rooms as the carpeting appeared to be dirty. There were cobwebs in the corners of the main area as well as the bathroom. We do not have a problem staying at budget properties, but this room was terrible. We will not stay here again. Hopefully the management reads this and addresses the cat urine smell/cleanliness in room 102.…
Do NOT stay here.... we were horrified when we pulled into the parking lot....we cancelled immediately!! There were people in their cars everywhere... some sleeping... others doing God knows what. It was a rundown sketchy looking motel.
This place is great. The owner is extremely friendly and it's location is awesome. It's right near all of the rafting pick up points and not far from Skirmish USA and many other outdoorsy kinds of places. Out in the middle of the wilderness, it's quite pleasant. Restaurants are minutes away in all directions. We booked for a queen and a double bed. Apparently there was an issue with the room so they upgraded to a larger for free. The room size was great. We were able to invite our friends who were also staying there in to comfortably sit and all watch TV. For those looking for a peaceful place, this is it. This is a quiet motel. This isn't a place for partygoers or loud loud people. Great place.
