We just returned from our 4th stay at Glades Pike. Once again a very nice stay. We arrived around 8 Thursday evening. Warmly greeted by Janet and caught up on what was new since we were there a year ago. Grabbed a couple of wine glasses and headed up to select our room. We spent two nights and stayed in a room we had our first stay. Comfortable bed and a nice fireplace. Our first fall like chill in the air weekend of the season. Fire place, some nice wine, made for a cozy evening. Always a delicious breakfast with Janet's homemade jam, you can't beat it. Full house and dining room table on Saturday morning. A mix of couples and groups of friends of all ages., the one couple we met last year. As always an enjoyable stay and we always feel at home at Glades Pike, like we are staying with family. I think folks that stay regularly agree as well. Dahli Lama the dog and Fuzzy Cat check in every once in awhile while you are there. But they are no bother. Games, books etc.. available if you need them. Fire wood is available, you can help yourself to wine glasses or whatever else you may need while there. Pets are welcome, I personally feel like this is a better place for couples and adults to stay rather than children. Janet does what ever she can to make you feel comfortable and at home at her B&B. We checked out on Saturday morning and said see you next year. We will keep going back as long as Janet is operating Glades Pike.…
Spent two nights with our host, Janet, who made a sumptuous hot breakfast both days that was very filling to start our day, no need for lunch later. Rooms are average and of older style but comfortable. Lots of good conversation with our host and fellow guests.
Best part of our visit to Laurel Highlands and Somerset! Teen daughters loved the dog and cat. We all loved the owner Janet. Like staying with mom or grandma! Thank you! Old 1800's B&B on main road to Somerset. Close to Two wonderful parks and ski resorts.
We stay here every Spring and Fall on our motorcycle trips. Can t say enough about the host, Janet. Very accommodating and the breakfasts are always different and delicious. Good location if you re planning on visiting Fallingwater which is very worthwhile.
We stopped here for one night instead of staying at a nearby chain hotel near the Somerset turnpike interchange. We got exactly what you can expect at a B&B, a good nights sleep in a comfy bed plus a good breakfast. Janet the host was great, and the shower had ample pressure. I would likely be coming back next year
