Good proximity to lots of things to do, so did not do much at the resort itself. Water Falls, covered bridges, and museums all close by. Kitchen was missing some utensils, but the must do an inventory now and then so we may be at the end of the cycle. We re-wiped upon arrival, but everything looked very clean to start with.
Staff outstanding.Pools inside and out. Mini golf and tennis courts. Villas are well stocked with every appliances. Each Villa has 2 and a half bathrooms. Newly furnished and tasteful. Very clean and sanitary. Kitchens have a dishwasher, washer and dryer
The property is amazing, beautiful and in a great location close to all the PA activities. However due to COVID not much is open on the property so do research on things you can do in the area before you arrive. We were not able to use any of the facilities that are on the property.
Checking in on Sunday during Covid was a nightmare. The line was long and they had us wait in the hot sun. Curbside check in was not available as advertised. We had a two bedroom unit in Depuy which was quiet and peaceful. I enjoyed sitting and reading on the wraparound porch. The beds were okay and the place was spacious. The only problem was that the unit smelled from mildew.
My family and I just stayed at The Ridge Top Resort by Wyndham Resorts in Shawnee. There are multiple resort names in one (Ridge Top, Depuy, Fairway, to name a few). With COVID, I tried calling the day before to see if there was any information I need to know to prepare. The call went to their messaging which provided a number I could text my questions too. That worked great as they got back to me with all my questions. Here is the text: “Hello, the amenities that will be available during your stay are, One outdoor pool (first come first serve, 8AM-10AM, 1030AM-1230PM, 1PM-3PM, 330-530PM, 6PM-8PM). Picnic tables and grills (first come first serve), gift shop via the Front Desk, Mini Golf ($6 per person). Tennis courts, Basketball hoops and Volley Ball (bring your own equipment) all first come first serve. Ridge Top Horseshoe and Bocce will be available by Pool Concierge, also first come first serve and sanitized in between use. All our indoor facilities are closed, except the check in area, which is one person per family please. If you are interested in our new Curbside touch-less check in, please text us here when you arrive. We will bring your keys to your car.” We arrived around 6pm on Sunday and the line was Long! So we pulled into the barely used Curbside Check in parking. I texted as instructed but received no response for 15 mins. I could see the line moving. So I got out and got in line and told my husband to call me if someone came out. 45 mins later I checked in at the desk and never got a response on my text. So if it’s busy when you check in, I don’t recommend the Curbside. We stayed in Ridge Top 110. It was prompt 2nd best place we’ve stayed in the Poconos. Most of the resorts in the Poconos are old. This one was decent compared to other places we’ve stayed. The kitchen was well stocked with supplies. We did bring our own laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent, coffee, food, my griddle, and toilet paper (they do supply 2 rolls per bathroom). Did not have enough trash bags but we had shopping bags to use. I’m sure we could have called for more but we’re too lazy for that. Lol! We did occasionally have issues with small ants but just cleaned them away. Don’t keep any open food out. There was no dustpan to cleanup the sweeping we did in the kitchen so made due. Beds were pretty comfortable. Bathrooms were good. The main bathroom shower door did leak water so we just put down extra towels. The carpet could use a good steam cleaning but wasn’t gross to us. The location was great! Nothing was overly far to get to. We enjoyed much of what the area offered. Now the pool situation: Because of COVID, the resort only has one pool available for use in the entire complex. To help they broke down availability into 2 hour sessions with a 1/2 hour break for cleaning. If you are planning to go to the pool, I suggest arriving 10 mins before the next session as they only allow 80 people total in. We didn’t know this and missed out our first attempt. Also later in the day seems to have more demand so go early. There are a lot of shaded spots which was nice. Towels are provided. They clean the chairs with a spray between sessions. Overall we enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back again. …
