If our 19th century brick walls and wood ceilings could talk, they would speak a familiar narrative. Enterprise & industry. American vision. An honest day’s work for an honest day’s pay. The buildings that make up Cork Factory Hotel once housed the historic Armstrong Cork and Kerr Glass companies. Today, we attempt to preserve and honor the history of the buildings in an honest, authentic, and welcoming manner.

We were in town on business and this place offered just about everything we needed for a comfortable overnight stay. Clean and comfortable rooms, plenty of parking and coffee in the lobby. I only wish the restaurant was open. I believe they are only open Wednesday through Saturday but there are still plenty of options close by.

To start off, we request early check in, only 1 hour early, front desk states they will text when room is ready ,no text ever came. Upon check in we inquired about complimentary breakfast, clerk says that is no longer available due to covid, and suggests we go to a Mcdonalds around the corner. Room was fine, beds/pillows comfortable. Next day we head out at 10 am, pass the housekeeping in hallway. Upon returning to room at 4:30 we see room has not been cleaned or made up. Trip to front desk, Luiz says, did you request your room to be cleaned, I said since when does it have to be requested, isn't that the idea of being on vacation and staying in a hotel ? So I said can you have someone at least freshen it up now, he says I have no one available and hands me a stack of towels and plastic bags to empty waste pails !! Not happy with this but we have no choice, Luiz not very helpful at all. Upon checking out I ask for a discount on the room since it wasn't cleaned, Luiz says the housekeeper said you had do not disturb on door,I said we left at 10 am, Luiz then says she finishes at 10 am. What housekeeping in a hotel finishes at 10 am ?? Then I think if she finishes at 10, why couldn't we get our early check in before the room was obviously cleaned and ready by 10 !! It's a shame because we have no complaints about the place itself very cool and historic, however the people running it need a lesson in courtesy and professionalism. Horribly run. Would not recommend until the desk staff is retrained on how to treat customers.

The room is super clean and super maintained, with fantastic soaps and shampoos. Ton of pillows. But no coffee maker in room (it does have a small fridge). They do have coffee downstairs... which gets to something else... despite some two hundred bucks or close per night depending on what day you are here, it does not come with breakfast anymore, nor is the restaurant at the hotel open on Sunday or Monday or Tuesday. At all. And nothing is close. So, it's a luxury destination but really misses on that account. They will sell you something to toss in a microwave sitting next to the coffee urn, but, well, that just doesn't work for a couple hundred a night in an area full of lodging. Also, this place seems to host a lot of weddings, and parking can be a challenge as the other businesses in the old factory complex have signs against hotel folks parking in their spaces. Choose wisely, my friends.

Adult family road trop - mom at 90, "kids" in 60s. Lovely property, and VERY nicely reclaimed/ redone. Rooms are roomy, side chairs comfortable. Rooms VERY quiet - great place to catch up on sleep. Restaurant is outstanding. Excellent foot, we found the prices reasonable. Ample portions - not teeny pieces of food artfully arranged. Coffee in the lobby in the AM - the coffee is outstanding. No breakfast here, but a fridge in each room.

Staff were excellent all around. Room was noisy. Parking was a challenge at f I rst but resolved when lot for a business opened up to hotel guests for the weekend. Very thin walls. Kids next door were bouncing on the.beds for hours. Had a few creepy crawlers in the room. Hotel has a cool vibe but the sound issue would be a reason not to return for me

The room with two queen beds was very spacious. The bathroom was also large, with a great shower. The lobby is attractive with a large fireplace, and the on-site restaurant is very good—we highly recommend dinner there. The lone elevator is very slow, so take the stairs which are wide and well lighted and creaky. In fact, everything is creaky. At 1:45am we were awakened by the loud creaking floor above us as the guest was walking around. Or maybe it was a ghost. There is a lot of history here and interesting photos dating from the 1800s framed throughout the property. We would definitely stay here again, but would ask for a room on the top floor.

Everything about the wedding at the Cork Factory was lovely and well presented. The food at the rehersal dinner was excellent. Wedding meal and appetizers were also excellent. Parking was fun, but manageable. It is in downtown Lancaster, so typical of an historic town, streets are narrow and space is limited, so that pretty much explains the parking situation. I didn't hear of anyone at the wedding who did not find a parking place on site. There were two weddings that night. THE ROOM: we had a suite, which had a separate living room. I never found it on their website, but our sofa was a sleeper sofa. We ordered sheets, etc. enabling us to have a mini-sleepover for two grandchildren who are cousins. The suite was nice for little get togethers. The windows in the bedroom have blinds AND drop down shades to block the outdoor lights. It took us a bit to figure it out. The shades are like the ones you see in hospital rooms. Actually, very clever solution for the situation. Our room was quiet. I heard some hallway noise when people were yelling, but our door was probably open. You know how you move the lock thing over to keep the door open so visitors can come on in. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The wedding planner was amazing. For example, four bouquets instead of six were delivered, she took care of it. Less than an hour later the missing two arrived. The venue is a beautiful wedding setting. All the events were a short walk away from our room. It is quiet and inviting. What was there not to like? My only complaint was that with the brick walls next to the bed, I whacked my toes twice getting out of bed. Learned quickly not to extend my foot when getting up.

To start, parking was limited due to a wedding. I reserved a queen room through Expedia, but arrived to two double beds. The receptionist fixed that without hesitation. My wife and I loved the room, however, you can hear everything in the rooms adjacent. We could literally hear what the couples conversation next door through the wall, but the hotel is very quiet walking through the halls and in the reception area. The hotel is beautiful and the staff are friendly and helpful. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

We booked to stay one night at the hotel and after checking in and exploring the area, we decided to stay an extra night. The hotel reception staff were great, friendly, professional and knowledgeable. I'd highly recommend staying here if visiting Lancaster.
