We stayed in the nostalgia suite for our anniversary earlier this month on a washout weekend. While the weather didn’t cooperate our stay was still amazing and right from the very start! When we arrived and parked it was pouring so we sat in the car for a few minutes in the lower parking space. Chris the owner came down with an umbrella and walked us up and carried our suitcase! This was unexpected and awesome. He showed us the common area and explained how things worked with treats, drinks, and the like. He showed us our room and explained how breakfast worked and all about the room and it’s contents. The room was wonderful, this was literally one of the cleanest and most well maintained rooms we have ever stayed in and it was huge with high ceilings, and huge windows. Beyond the main bedroom this room featured a breakfast room and a private bath. There wasn’t a speck of dust or a smudge anywhere, super clean. Ever detail is attended to here, can’t say enough. York peppermints each night next to the bed, fresh flower in the room, great toiletries and plenty of towels and bath supplies, a small fridge stocked daily with juices, bottled water, and a bottle of wine for our anniversary. The room also included two wine glasses and a bottle opener. Breakfast is in the room when you arrive and it was awesome. Fresh baked goods to enjoy at your leisure, fresh fruit bowl, etc. Some of the features included scones, blueberry bread, coffee cake, homemade granola, homemade yogurt, cheese and fruit platter, snacks, biscotti, so much! Even with snacking throughout the day/evening there was still plenty for the next morning. It was great having all this I. The room for breakfast or when we come in for a bite between shopping. In the common area there is all coffee bar set up with outstanding coffee; tea throughout the day, and a decanter of blackberry brandy for a late night cap. Chris and Diane were super helpful with anything we needed and with recommendations of things to see and do in town. They were always friendly and willing to help. We enjoyed the common area each day and played games and worked on the puzzle they had on the table. Umbrellas were available for use thank goodness! Can’t say enough about this place. Looking forward to our next visit and some better weather to enjoy the outdoor activities in the area. Despite the weather the Times House alone made it a great weekend.…
Our first visit to this quaint town was made even more special by staying at The Times House. This bed and breakfast is beautifully decorated, comfortable, and immaculate. The food offerings are delicious and plentiful. We enjoyed the in suite breakfast as the food is available whenever we chose to eat. Diane is a gracious and helpful innkeeper. The Times House is truly a Jim Thorpe gem.
My wife and I stayed in the Legacy Grand Suite. The bed was perfect and clean. We had an electric fireplace going that kept the room nice and cozy. Fresh pastries every morning and some fine brandy available downstairs. Complimentary bottle of wine was in our fridge, along with yogurt, various juices, and coffee cream. Large Jacuzzi bathtub in the bathroom worked great. Very gracious and friendly hosts. Will definitely return for another stay!
My husband and I had a lovely weekend stay at the Times House. It is situated on a quiet back street but within walking distance to shops, restaurants, and bars. Chris the innkeeper was super nice and helpful. We loved the homemade breakfast cakes and yogurt with fresh fruit and honey. It’s a beautiful old building with modern amenities. Not our first time staying at the Inn and definitely will not be our last!
My husband & I were celebrating our 42nd wedding anniversary. It was a gift he booked for us. It is a wonderful home & the rooms, food & owners are excellent. Highly recommend The Times House B & B. We plan to visit there again sometime in the future.
