Nancy and Tom, the hosts, make you feel right at home! Nancy suggested that we go to a concert at Penn's Peak that night and called to see if tickets were available. And they were! Their son made breakfast for us and one other really nice couple staying the same weekend. Just want to mention that our room did not have a TV if that is important to you. Our room was very clean. The outside of the Inn could use a little "sprucing up", in my opinion. Otherwise, it is a nice place to stay.

My husband reserved Hillcrest B&B a year ago to surprise me for our anniversary. Our Hosts, Matt, Tom and Nancy went above and beyond to make our stay as wonderful as it was! They were beyond accommodating and the home was spotless and beautiful! The breakfasts prepared every morning were made with the freshest ingredients and it was very apparent that our chef put his heart into it! Delish!!! By the end of our trip, we were not only sad that it was ending, but sad because we felt like we were leaving family! We are excited for our next visit and highly recommend you call and reserve your stay before it fills up!

My husband selected this destination for a weekend getaway. He is normally looking for a place hotel where he can earn points, so it was a total surprise that he picked a B and B. We loved this place, Matt is an amazing host. Comfortable, clean and very cozy. Each room has a fridge and microwave. Up to date bathrooms. Great breakfast. We booked a weekend to come back in October.

Wife and I took a romantic get away weekend in Jim Thorpe and stayed here. Matt was as warm and accommodating as he could have possibly been. Stayed for 2 nights, breakfast both mornings was fantastic. House was great, and the location is great (just outside the main drag of town, and 5 minute drive from Glen Onoko).

We stayed here for our little ski trip. The location was perfect for trying 2 different ski resorts. It’s on the hill top, you can enjoy the view of the town from the front yard. It is pretty from outside and inside. The owner was attentive. Actually he gave the information about the ski resort we went second day. There were no other guests and he let us upgrade room without charge. It was a very cozy room with a nice bed and a table to relax. Breakfast was delicious! I highly recommend Hillcrest B&B.

My daughter and I stayed here over Veterans Day weekend. Everything was perfect - we got a full English breakfast as promised, our room was super comfy and warm, the bed was exceptionally comfortable. Our hosts Meriel and Bart were extremely kind and flexible - every day, Meriel refilled the cupboard with tea, coffee, hot chocolate powder, and clean mugs. All in all, we had an awesome time and will be sure to come again if we're back in town.

We had a fabulous stay with Meriel and Bart last week. My Husband and I stayed with our 2 daughters and used the newly renovated 3rd floor room and one on the second floor, Unfortunately, I did not take pictures of the 3rd floor room which was done so nicely. A beautiful bed and very comfortable. These are things that stuck out for me- 1) The house is Immaculate! Absolutely spotless! 2) the breakfasts were over the top- very hearty and tasty 3) the coffee was delicious 4) Most importantly were the how accommodating and enjoyable Meriel and Bart were. We spent a good portion of our evening the first night, sharing a glass of wine and enjoying each others company. They really made us feel quite at home. I would recommend this Bed and Breakfast to anyone coming to Jim Thorpe. It is a true jem!

We were lucky to find this place open at the last minute for a weekend stay. We have come to Jim Thorpe a few times, but this was our first time staying in the town - And now I can't imagine staying anywhere else. Bart was a gracious host. He greeted us at the door with an offer of wine, which was lovely. He sparked our interest in the history of the area, and we really enjoyed talking with him. The room was comfortable, with an adjoining private bathroom. Originally we were hoping for a room right on Broadway, but we were glad we stayed here instead. The town is just a short walk (or even shorter drive) away, and we enjoyed the peace and quiet this location offered. Just to be clear - the walk is very short but VERY steep. Not advisable in heels, ladies. I'm 2 months from being 50 and not very active, and I found the uphill walk a little difficult but doable. My boyfriend is a regular golfer and had an easier time. If you are younger or athletic it would be more enjoyable. If you are not, do what we did most of the time - drive. The breakfasts Bart served us were so tasty, and we were sad we couldn't linger longer after our last one - but all good things must come to an end I suppose. We will definitely be back.

Absolutely excellent B&B with wonderful hosts. Upon arriving we were offered a glass of wine which was delicious. The room was lovely with everything you could think of and more - minifridge with water, hidden closet housed a microwave, wine glasses and coffee cups. There was a small table and two chairs to share a snack or play a game of cards. The en suite was lovely We absolutely loved our hosts - so much so that we wish we could have stayed longer. The house was located quite close to downtown Jim Thorpe - just a very short ride down the hill to the all day parking. But nothing could beat the breakfasts! Each day breakfast was served in the dining room on English China. The first day was a typical English breakfast starting with a lovely fruit cup followed by a plate with bacon, sausage, a fried tomato, fried mushrooms, eggs (made to order) served over grilled toast with french press coffee. Yum! 2nd day was papaya and banana fruit cup followed by french crepes stuffed with cinnamon, apple & raisin filling with coffee. We had such a lovely conversation with Bart and Meriel the whole weekend. We couldn't have asked for a lovelier place to stay as we took in all that Jim Thorpe had to offer. Our sincerest thanks to Bart and Meriel for making us feel so cared for and welcome.
