Janet and Warren are the perfect hosts of this historic house...friendly, gracious and warm! The Wayne Room is the length of the width of the house... cozy, inviting with a sumptuous bed and historic furnishings. Breakfasts are mouth watering and very creative! SO relaxing! I bought several of their stoneware mugs as a keepsake. The James Manning House is a gem of a place...and Janet and Warren are the perfect host and hostess! Can’t say enough wonderful things about our three day getaway tucked in the beautiful mountains of the Poconos!

In this time of trying to find the new norm, rest assure, there is a comfort zone. Warren and Janet have opened their beautiful 'home' to guests and have gone above and beyond to ensure safety and comfort in this very challenging time. In a time of daily changing restrictions, there is no lack of service, hospitality or friendly smile and conversation. It is such a breath of fresh air to feel like all is good and right in the world. Yes, that is the magic and passion that you feel at the James Manning House. We only wish we could have stayed much longer. the food is great and made with love. The grounds are gorgeous and relaxing. This really is a special place and it provides a special experience. Can't wait for another visit.

We rented 2 rooms for a 3 night stay. It was like we were coming in & out of our own home. Living areas were comfortable, drinks & snacks were available, coffee was always on the D/R table early. Loved sitting out back in their adirondack chairs or under the pergola, next to the waterfall! They gave us many suggestions of places to visit, all of which we did, even the ice cream store. King size beds would have taken it over the top!!

The house was wonderfully decorated for the Christmas season and was impeccably clean. I have to admit we were a little spoiled, we had the place to ourselves. It was so nice to get to sit and spend time with them and breakfast was DELICIOUS! (Dutch apple pancakes with sausage and grilled pineapple) We can't wait to go back! I can't recommend them enough. You won't be disappointed!
