The hotel claimed that we had a pet. They charged 100.00 for the pet fee and stated that a manager 'saw' an animal. Untrue. Completely. They went as far as fighting my credit card company over my refund request. I am filing a lawsuit.
I’ve been to dozens of Marriotts, am a lifetime Platinum member, and have seen some embarrassing hotel moments, but really: 1. Foreign, DIRTY wet washcloth on the floor in the bathroom 2. Filthy, stained shower curtain liner 3. Dishwasher full of dishes (at least they were clean) 4. Pot holders were dirty and stained 5. Microwave fan will not shut off if door is closed 6. Cheerios on the floor by the tv. We packed up and exited without trying the breakfast, much less the pool. I can get this level of quality from Motel 6. Ick. Just….ick.
My family and I checked into room 621 and discovered this. It is beyond unfit and incredibly disappointing to see that this is what guests and reward members are given. We decided to given this hotel a chance...and given what we found we are uncertain if the room was even cleaned. What cleaning measures are even taken if these mattresses are offered to families over and over again? Nicole who checked us in, upgraded us to a different room but even that mattress had a stain on it (room 1215). I felt trapped. I have a toddler, she's hungry, it was late and we've been driving for a while. Most importantly-I do not want to sleep on a stained mattress or have my toddler sleep on one. On a separate note, there are posted signs requiring masks in public areas, however, neither Nicole nor Tarryn who checked us out, were wearing one. Also of note Nicole was coughing frequently. Given that we are in a pandemic this was also very concerning for my family, especially my toddler daughter. Tarryn checked us out upon my request and assured us we will not be charged. This way we can get our funds returned. I honestly do not believe we will stay at another Marriott location, if this is what I have to contend with. You should not offer rooms with mattresses that look like this at all-it just is not acceptable. When we mentioned this to Tarryn, she said it is hard to come by mattresses and it is the general manager's responsibility-she is only responsible for the front desk. We were able to find another hotel room at a lower rate. And while we were exhausted and hungry, and it did not have a kitchen- neither of the two mattresses were stained. I have also shown the photos to the front desk staff and emailed to the front desk and corporate customer service. I have also let them know I will be sharing reviews on Yelp and Trip Advisor.…
Pleasantly surprised with this hotel- booked last minute when our VRBO at the Suites at Hershey was canceled on us last minute. We have a family of 6 and were planning to spend time at Hersheypark so finding a place for all of us with a pool was a priority. This hotel is less than 15 minutes from Hershey and an easy drive. Kind of a weird location next to an industrial park but that didn’t bother us- and there is a Target and other shops/restaurants right up the road. Room was new, clean and spacious. We stayed in the 3 story hotel building which appeared to be newer than the townhouse-like rooms that they also had. Breakfast was great- it’s “grab and go” but lots of choices and you can take whatever you want back to your room. Front desk staff was super helpful with replacing toiletries that we had forgotten. Pool was kind of small and cold but the kids didn’t mind- only the outdoor pool is open right now but it was hot so we probably wouldn’t have used the indoor pool anyway. Highly recommend!…
Stayed here 1 night, very happy with our stay. It was 15 minutes from Hershey, and 1/2 the price of the Hershey Marriott hotels. We had 2 rooms and they upgraded both of our rooms to a 1 bedroom. Outdoor pool is nice but small. However, it's hard to find outdoor pools in this area, plus they have an indoor pool for Winter, so they have pools for all seasons. They also had a nice outdoor basketball court. They had a lot of food at their free grab-and-go breakfast. Would definitely stay here again when visiting Hershey or Harrisburg.
