This resort is being renovated starting in the rear and moving to the front. The renovations look nice, but the units not renovated, need a lot of TLC. Because of COVID, the units should have been a lot cleaner and sanitized. The phones are disgusting and you definitely need to clean them before using them. Most places close early and the units did not have decent pots or pans to cook with.
Great location. Pretty grounds. Very relaxing. Close to our planned adventures. The condos are well appointed and clean. We had everything we needed to make our family stay perfect. And if we needed something, we just called housekeeping for quick professional service. Shout out to the team for making our stay flawless! Thanks! Always a fun trip to the Poconos at this Resort!
As always, I enjoy my stay at the Poconos Mountain Villas.. The staff, the grounds, the ambiance are exceptional. Always a pleasure to come to Pennsylvania from New York for "small getaways". This is why I come every 5 to 6 months!!!
Pocono Mountain Villas is a resort that I think will be great in a couple years with the extensive renovation going on. The previous owners/management company let this resort go downhill and that is such a shame. The resort is huge. While there are sections/units that are in terrible need of repair, you can see the renovations going on. I understand this is a 3-5 year, millions of dollars project. We noticed whole sections shut down and unoccupied while the units were being renovated. We stayed in the Fairway Villas (3 BR) and there were renovations going on in our section but we were not disturbed by noise. While check-in was slow (we could not check in until well after 5 pm because they kept saying the unit was not ready), when we finally got to our unit we were pleasantly surprised. Our unit was very clean. It's a shame guests cannot take care of these units like their own homes. There was some damage caused by previous occupants such as a broken glass being put in the garbage disposer causing it to jam and someone had ironed on the carpet upstairs leaving a bad burn stain even though there is an ironing board clearly available. The garbage disposer and another maintenance issue were addressed within 5 minutes of calling about it. The 3 BR Fairway Villa unit is very large. It had 3 huge bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths. The kitchen had everything we needed. Our coffee maker wasn't working and was replaced promptly. The bedrooms each have a flat screen tv which are the largest I have ever seen in timeshare bedrooms. The living room tv could have been larger but was enclosed in a built-in. Everything else was in working order. The furniture was a little dated, but not bad. I have seen much worse in our timeshare stays over the years. We were quite pleased with the unit. All of the staff we encountered were very nice. We did not know we had to make reservations for the Tree Ventures and they were booked all week so we did not do that. The pools were great. We used 3 of them on the property. All of them were large, clean, well maintained and heated. We did not do the tubing. It seemed expensive for what you got. The miniature golf is free but the golf course is really in need of repair. The playground is laughable. My grandkids said "that is not a playground!" It only had one swing and one slide. They did enjoy the arcade. They offer free activities throughout the week at the Activity Station geared for kids and they give you a schedule at check-in. We ate at the Warehouse restaurant and the food and service were great. We were hesitant to eat there because of previous. reviews. We enjoyed eating there. There are grocery stores nearby but the Walmart is about 10 miles away. We did not notice a lot of activities in the area but did not go out of our way to find them either. This was our first visit to the Poconos area so we need to get more familiar. All in all, we were very pleased with our stay. We would come back in 2-3 years after more renovations are done.. I think Exploria is really making an effort to improve this resort and bring it back to its' glory days. They really need to get Wi-fi in the units as soon as possible. I can't think of anywhere you go nowadays, even cheap motels, that don't offer Wi-fi in the units even if you have to pay for it. Wi-fi is available in the common areas, but who takes their tablet or laptop to the pool? We had hot spots that we used, but we could not have stayed here during this past school year with virtual learning. In this day and age this should be a top priority for Exploria.…
Tree Tops at Pocono Mountains is a wonderful resort! This was our second year there and we enjoyed every minute of it! The resort is clean and well kept. All staff that we came in contact with were very friendly and helpful. Our condo clean and comfortable. We'll be back next year for sure!
