(4.5 rating) Didn't have too much interaction with the staff, but what I did have was pleasant. The hotel was in a nice area too, at the end of a parking lot away from the road, so I didn't have any road noise. Lots of places to walk to as well. The lobby was a little small and uninviting, but the breakfast area was nice and the rooms are very spacious. The entrance to the room is almost at least twice as wide as they usually are, and there was plenty of space. The ceiling was a little higher as well. I wasn't a big fan of the light green and pastel yellow color scheme, but it's just a personal preference, and the light colors do make the room seem more spacious as well. The room itself was pristine, and I like how they left a note of who cleaned the room on the bedside table. (I left them a compliment when I checked out!) I would walk past the laundry room on my way to my own room and it was very open and clean. I didn't use the facilities, but it was nice to know that it was there if I needed it. No major concerns at all, the only minor one being the humming of the fridge being a little distracting when it would turn on occasionally, but I got used to it eventually. The only other things were just a couple of cracks on the tile in the elevator, and then a few gray spots on the grout in the tub, but that's it. I would probably stay here again if I needed to.…

Stayed here for one night to visit the Peckville Christmas House ( a must) before heading to Great wolf. Unfortunately there was an incident in the laundry resulting in fire alarm evacuation. My son was scared and did not want to stay any longer. The front desk attendant was extremely calm and helpful as all guest were waiting outside. They immediately refunded our room so we could go somewhere else. Although the fire dept cleared the hotel, my son did not want to stay. We will be back in March where our family hosts a family reunion.

I travel North America for work, I stay at many places, but this one, bull getting woke at 8:30 by houseKeeping knock, respectfully after 10am should be a knock time, front desk says they have a job to do, yes they do after 11am checkout, so why knock, isn't front desk supposed to do their job and provide housekeeping with which rooms are occupied? Use a D D sign front desk says, what the hell, they must have never been tired before, I'm only thinking about a bed not thinking oh I have to do the job of the front desk before I go to sleep.

Clean and comfortable beds. Dove products were nice. Breakfast included although there was a flood in the breakfast room so we were unable to get breakfast. Offered drinks and and snacks. Allowed for early check in as we were attending a wedding

This hotel is conveniently located near shopping and restaurants. Staff very nice, King bed comfortable, room/bathroom clean. Breakfast was quite good for a free meal; coffee very good. Upon arrival, lemonade and fresh cookies (3 kinds) were available. Easy check in/out. On the downside, TV guide was outdated, no smart TV; unable to view Thursday night football game☹️ Would stay again though.

Hotel amenities are wonderful; booking was a nightmare. Beware of booking a room at a Holiday Inn/IGH. We were rerouted from the hotel website upon booking our stay to a site called “getaroom.com”. We were quoted $131 for the room, but upon processing, $52 in additional fees were added to our credit card transaction for a total of $183. These additional fees were not disclosed. To make matters worse, we were also invoiced directly by the hotel a cost of $126. So, in total, we paid $309 for a stay that was quoted at $131. This was a simple 2 queen bed suite to sleep in the night before going snow tubing at a nearby ski resort, not intended to be a splurge! I called the 1-800 number on our reservation confirmation, where I was told by getaroom.com that there was nothing that they could do for me. When I requested to speak to a manager in their service department, I was told to hold then disconnected. I went to the front desk of the hotel to attempt to resolve this billing nightmare in person. I was told that they are encountering a lot of problems through this particular authorized vendor (getaroom.com), that the hotel never received the voucher of payment regarding our reservation. By the time we checked out, the front clerk could see in their system that we had been billed twice for the same room. She assured me that the hotel’s portion would be refunded to our credit card. It would simply need to wait until her manager arrived that morning. The manager would correct their portion of the mistake and call me that day, after 9 am, to confirm that had been completed. This was days ago, and I still have received a phone call, nor has my credit card transaction been corrected. I have now invested more time attempting to correct this billing disaster than my family and I spent snow tubing- the purpose of the trip! This is just so disheartening to what would have otherwise been a wonderful trip. On a positive note, the hotel itself was very nice. The indoor pool was well kept and heated. The complementary breakfast was a nice touch. The room was clean and spacious for our family of 5. The hotel accommodations were great! Totally worth the $131 that we were originally quoted 😉…

Hotel location is very good;lots of restaurants and shopping very close. Room was typical HIE, Wifi was terrible; signal so weak we couldn't connect on our phones or computers; wifi is very important to us. Hotel staff was totally unhelpful. Lots of other choices in the area, so we'll be trying somewhere else next time.

It can be a challenge to find a good hotel on traveling through Pennsylvania by car. This is, by far, the nicest hotel in the Scranton area. Spotlessly clean everywhere, beautifully maintained, very comfortable bed and pillows, abundant hot water, great shower, delicious hot breakfast, and best of all, excellent front desk staff and customer service!

It was just a Saturday night in July, not a holiday, just a regular weekend. The fee for one night at this HIE was well over $200! It's in Scranton, PA. Not Manhatten or Chicago, rather the mountains of Central Pennsylvania. I'm not sure why, it's no different than the HIE places I've stayed in many times prior to the pandemic. For some reason, the price has nearly doubled. Are the beds twice as comfortable? Are the cinnamon rolls twice as delicious? How about the towels, are they twice as fluffy? Sorry, the simple answer is no. Nothing has changed except for the jacked-up price.

I left my shaving kit with my medicine inside. I called the very next day which was a Thursday. I ask nicely if they could mail out as soon as possible because it had my medicine in it. They said they would see what they could do but I would have to give them my credit card information. So I did. I called that Monday to see if they mailed it out . The lady Aylissa (I Believe) said it may be getting shipped that morning and was very defensive when I questioned what took so long to get it in the mail to me. They overnighted through UPS and charged my credit card 81.00 dollars. There was multiple other ways they could have mailed it and cost less than 15 dollars. Since they procrastinated and finally decided to mail it they did it overnight next morning . Unbelievable!!!!!! I am a Spore Elite customer and now I am going to switch because of them. Have been a loyal customer for a long time to IHG properties. Time to shop the competition.…
