We booked 4 nights at the hotel and wish it had been a lot less. The price was high for what we received. The staff were amazing, but the room was noisy (highway, guests walking in the room upstairs) and the wifi was TERRIBLE. The free wifi barely worked and the premium wifi ($4.99 per day) worked slightly better but not well enough for me to teach my classes online without connection issues. We reserved a queen but it seemed more like a double as it was much smaller than our queen at home. Our room was not serviced at all (blamed on Covid) and the towels were so flimsy they didn’t last more than 1 use. We were going to stay at a Motel 6 at our next location but it’s unlikely we will ever do that again. On the plus side we were able to walk to the center of Troutdale in about 20-25 minutes. Edgefield winery is also within walking distance, as is the Glenn Otto Community Park. The bus stop nearby has buses that connect you with Gresham Transit center so you can easily get to and from the hotel on public transport.

The room itself was nice. We got 2 rooms. One was a smoker room cause they were sold out. Oh the stench... The other room was very clean, nicely updated, bathroom modern. The only downside was the noise. Heard every car drive by and the day we stayed we heard people yelling in multiple rooms. Not sure if this is due to covid and motel 6 letting homeless people stay here but I didn't sleep at all.

The first night, we paid good price. And we had good sleep. Few days back, we went again. The price was higher. $89.00 v $151.00 The front desk reception staffs were not professional. Quite rude in fact. Room big and comfortable.

Stopped here as it was convenient to Portland, but not right in the middle of town. Also, was supposed to have a discount through our National Sheriff Association. They claimed they had no record of such a discount, even though NSA touts it on their website. The room smelled horrible, and thank God we brought our own pillows and blankets. Slept with the window open to help with the stench, and awoke in the morning to hear other guests complaining of the stink. There were several unsavory types prowling the parking lot, and we couldn't get out of there soon enough. I guess when your hotel is at the end of a dirt road off the main highway, it should be some sort of indication how creepy it's going to be.

First the +s are a great location (right at the start of the Historic 30 drive past the waterfalls, etc), the price at $40 + tax, staff nice, lots of TV stations, lighting was good, and it had a firm bed at least in my room. The -s are definitely some road noise (5 on a scale from 1 to 10), the typical Motel 6 TV set from 15 years ago, the parking was just okay.

Room Tip: Might want to get a room in the middle of the complex since the place is bracketed by busy I-84...

I am happy to see another guest that had a good experience at our location. Sorry about the noise but not much we can do to stop the train or traffic but we try to put you somewhere a little less noisey.

I didn't get the room I paid for with no explanation,or apology. No discount either for the lack of amenities advertised. The staff was unhelpful and unpleasant. The room wasn't cleaned either. I see such a disparity in reviews. It makes me wonder if the shabby treatment we recieved was due to my darker complextion. Well, it's something to think about. I know I will never patronize motel 6 again.

Motel itself was clean and the manager was very attentive and sympathetic. However, my vehicle was broken into in the parking lot. I understand that this is a risk at any motel, but when I reported it to the police, they shared that this motel had frequent problems with break ins and my vehicle was not the only one broken into that night alone. Additionally, the motel is near railroad tracks and the train comes through frequently.

Stayed at this place in Troutdale a few nights ago: a motel that is reached by taking a long, broken piece of pavement that, had I seen it in daylight, I probably would have declined to follow. At the front desk I paid nearly $60, with tax (they charge extra for Wi-Fi), and I'm still trying to shake the slimy vibes. To begin with, the motel is in desperate need of a make-over. First there was the stopped up bathroom sink, where the water just sat there like a little bird bath. Nice. Then there was the phone booth for a shower stall that I hope to God Tom Bodett is going to announce soon they're getting rid of. Therein I found a very close, slimy showering experience, with the dirty curtain clinging to me like that face-hugger thing from "Alien." After that there was the old, unresponsive thermostat, that simply blew tepid air on a cold night. Rounding out this trifecta was the short bed. I'm just over 6', and my feet hung off the foot by a foot, with a mattress that seemed literally stuffed with straw - it was THAT uncomfortable.

But the thing that really kicked over the garbage can for me was the stench. In the bathroom, someone, perhaps weeks earlier (months? years?) had taken a dump and missed the toilet. Housekeeping's approach to clean-up had subsequently been sloppy. So that when I walked into the bathroom the odor hit me like a bat, to a degree comparable to an old, festering country outhouse, kicked over on a hot summer day. Sure, I could have asked for another room, but I was just too damned tired. You know the feeling.

With the bathroom door closed tightly I made it through the night, and I suppose you could too. But why bother? Just keep driving.

We stayed in room 105 and ended up having a FLOODED room due to poor drains at 2am. I informed front desk and she gave me three extra towels to try and dry it up. I'm in process of disputing the charges and hopefully will be getting my money back. Worst over night stay EVER!!! Bags were wet, door mat soaked due to all the water. If that's not bad enough, the entry door handle broke as we were leaving to check out. HORRIBLE HOTEL!!! DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

I did not stay. Checked out after 2 hours because it is advertised as newly remodled yet the heating and air system is so old that you have to call the office and wait on maintence to switch it to heat or air. Was told by the front dest that it is a very old system and that is how it has to be done. Sweated for 2 hours and when maintence showed up they expected us to leave the room with our dogs so they could switch it from heat to ac.
