Wonderful place to stay. Only major issue is their bathroom is only open from 8am to noon everyday. With three girls and a limited bathroom it’s very frustrating and annoying. Makes no sense to lock the bathroom up at noon everyday, that’s one of the reasons people come to camp at RV camps or you would just park your RV on the side of the road somewhere or in an empty parking lot. Don’t get that one at all. Quiet and comfortable. Sites are a little close together but everyone here are extremely nice and friendly and not noisy whatsoever. Ended up staying an extra 3 nights because of how comfortable it was for my family with the exception of the bathroom issue. Never stayed and paid to camp somewhere and not had bathrooms accessible anytime we need them. Major bummer and it has changed the vibe for my whole family in a bad way.

Loved the location of this campground, right on the Sandy River in Troutdale. We used it as a base for exploring the fabulous Columbia River Gorge. Lots of restaurants in walking distance. The campground is very clean. No pool or spa, but gee whiz it't right on the river! The space we had was a back-in right on the river. Lots of full timers living there, but we chatted with them and they were all very nice. It is a very nice park in a great location.

First let me say, I'm writing this review as a mother of three active children, ages 5, 6 and 7, and we are full time RVers.

With that said, the RV park itself is very nice, and the staff is friendly. There are several things I found that are close by- such as Walgreens, Walmart, Kmart, Fred Meyer, Kohls, Best Buy, craft stores, etc. There's even a nice little town within walking distance. Mostly cute little knick knack type shops, but something to do none the less.

Dogs are allowed, however there is no dog park where the dogs can be allowed off leash, and the 'leash law' is strictly enforced. There is a nice path where you're able to walk the dogs, as well as a field of sorts.

There is lake access, but no park or play structure for kids to play. It is *extremely* quiet, with the exception of the planes and trains (which didn't bother us). I feel like I need to keep my kids inside because they will disturb other RVers, though they're well behaved children- and I'm a helicopter mom.

The spots are level, and paved, with plenty of space to park two vehicles. There's a picnic table at each spot. You're not allowed to have a campfire at your RV, and I didn't seen an area where you could have a fire. There is cable, internet, full hook ups and 50 amp service.

For the money (roughly $30 per night) it's great! If we need overnight accommodations, I would definitely stay here again. The only thing I was disappointed with was the road work that was done, right in front of my RV/Truck with NO notice or warning.

When you call for reservations, you cannot get a reservation number, nor can you get a confirmation email! We called a day prior to arrival and the phone call was never returned. We called the day of arrival for directions and again, noone home and no return call. When we got there, we were told that we would have to move after first day. (Not what we were told when we called!) Doesn't seem like much, but you need to change your site by 11am. We had plans to be gone until evening. How does that work? We moved to a riverfront site which is a typical backin. Many places let motorhomes pull in forward and run electrical & water under the coach. That way you can see the river. We saw another coach pulled in forward a few spots down from ours. We got a call later that day telling us that we had until that evening to move. Not in a nice tone! She said that only one coach was allowed to pull in and run their electrical and water under. Why??? Nothing coming from the man or woman was in a very nice tone and no explainations were offered.
Also, be careful if you do go there. Google and RV Life will send you under a train trestle that is less than 13'. My motorhome is 13'7". Luckly we came through town.

We stopped here on a long road trip looking for a water fill up. We asked very nicely and offered to pay for the fill up. The woman that was working flat out refused (unless we paid $55!)and rudely wished us luck. We are new to RVing and have had mostly good experiences. This definitely goes in the negative column. Would not stay.

We stayed here will doing business in Portland. It’s centrally located and easy to find. The amenities are pretty sparse due to the pandemic but it’s still a top notch park. The person that checked us in was kind and helpful. You can walk to the little town or walk over to the river beside the park. It’s really pretty. I thought the place was a great value and very well maintained. I’d definitely go back.

The owner is very rude. Not worth going because of her. The lady needs to realize that her behavior will keep customers away. Be aware there is a train that comes through . The restroom isn’t open during the night . I so wish it was a great place too.

Location is everything and Sandy Riverfront RV Resort certainly checks a lot of boxes! As you can see from the photos the views here are fantastic! The manager here is darling as is the resident Bulldog mascot. There are friendly folks all around this park. The park sits relatively close to train tracks but we like to hear the sounds of the trains. We would recommend Sandy Riverfront RV Park and we will return. Our only regret was that there was no availability for a longer stay. Happy New Year!

Was searching the internet to find an RV park to stay at while visiting our children in Troutdale when I found the site for the Sandy Riverfront RV Resort. We decided to stay there and we are glad we did. The park is nice and the people were friendly. There is plenty of pull thru spaces along with back in spaces. Seems like about half the spots are seasonal guests who stay for a long duration. Our site was a pull thru which was very level so setup was quick. They have internet and limited TV that comes with your site if you want them. The showers and restrooms are very nice and controlled with an entry code pad for safety.
You are near the Sandy River and within walking distance of downtown Troutdale. We are the type of Rv'ers who like to play 'tourist' and not sit around our site. So location was great. You do hear, in the distance, the planes that land at the Portland International Airport & the Troutdale Airport and also the trains that go up/down the Columbia Gorge but since we love trains and hear the airplanes sounds when ever we go up there, they didn't bother us at all.
This is now the park of choice for when we go to the east Portland area and will definitely stay there again.

Though the grounds are well maintained and conveniently located off the I-5 near Portland, this camping spot is basically a parking lot for RVs staying both long and short-term. OK for a quick overnight, but would not want to stay any longer or come back again.
