My family stayed here May 21st - May 23rd 2021. This is a very nice hotel, very clean, family friendly, staff is well dressed and ready to serve. The people who work the front desk have excellent customer service skills, a vast knowledge of the surrounding area, and are very helpful and ready to serve.

The complementary breakfast is served in a very clean and comfortable environment with lots of options(for what it is) and the ladies serving the food(because of covid) are very friendly, outgoing, and enthusiastic about meeting your breakfast needs. I need to warn you about the sausage(made from turkey) very disgusting and tastes like watered down cardboard, but I wasn't aware of this at the time I asked for it or it never would have touched my plate. I advise you bring your own pillows the ones in the room are paper thin and the cushions flatten out instantly giving you a massive neck and headache in the morning. My wife and I did not get any sleep because of this.

The manager all the way down to the bottom employee take great pride in the appearance of this hotel (inside and out) the way they present themselves to the guest, the customer service they provide, and the amenities they offer. This is a very clean and properly run Hotel despite the fact that its in the middle of nowhere.

I was here during covid. First of all, I must give this hotel and its staff members a lot of credit. They really tried to do everything they could to make it safe and to encourage guests to do the same. They had masks available for guests at the door, hand sanitizer was everywhere, there were signs limiting occupants to their own family/groups in elevators, enhanced cleaning information was clear and so on. It was very reassuring, to be honest, and bless them, they must be working really hard.

Beyond all of that, this is simply a really nice hotel! Check in was fast, the staff member was friendly and very efficient. She explained everything I needed to know clearly and simply. I don't know if this property is new, but it looks/feels like it just opened last week. The room was perfect and very comfortable. It was a good size, very nice bathroom, better than average sheets/hygiene items, and beautifully quiet. I have no idea if there was anyone staying in the rooms near or above me because it was that quiet. It is close to the river and a bit back from the main road, but only a few minutes to the freeway. If you haven't been to The Dalles before, you should be aware there are trains running through the city by the river at night. It isn't too loud at this hotel, but you may hear them. I found the city charming overall, and this hotel was truly excellent.

Affordable, Clean & Comfortable room, friendly staff, hot breakfast had all the required accompaniments (Orange Juice tasted fresh & not too watered down, additional item + eggs & bacon served, Half & Half in jug... not just tiny containers, etc). Great location easy on/off the Hwy + walking distance to Cousins restaurant we like to visit when we travel through here and walking distance to Tesla Supercharger that we must use when travelling by. We travel across North America in our Tesla and usually will stay at Marriott brands: Fairfield, Springhill, Courtyard, etc... Even though it may seem all "Fairfields' or 'Springhills' may be the same - they are NOT! This one for this trip was very good, one of the best of the 6 we stayed in.

This hotel is spotless. We had a great stay with friendly and courteous staff. In town to visit family and needed a place to stay nearby, we would definitely stay again. Small room for improvement would be the continental breakfast, the egg items need an overhaul.

My pregnant wife and I were escaping hazardous smoke from Salem, we stayed our first night without smoke in The Dalles, that night we noticed the smoke closing in and hoped it would get better. Instead, we woke up to heavy smoke at 2 am and couldn’t sleep till 5... we discussed the situation and decided to cancel our next night and buy tickets to where our parents live, all the way in the Midwest... the hotel and the people who work there were very polite and they said they’d refund us the money for the next night, so we left in hopes of good air. Next thing you know they tell me they won’t give me the refund and we just threw away $157 dollars. They didn’t understand our concern for our health

Hi 398romank, thanks for letting us know about this. We're concerned by your experience and eager to correct it. From what you shared here, your second night certainly should have been refunded if you checked out by our normal departure time. We'd like to get in touch to learn more and find a resolution. We've sent a private message with our General Manager's contact information and look forward to hearing from you soon.

Stayed one night on a road trip and were impressed by how clean and new things appeared. Staff friendly and helpful. Relatively quiet (infrequent trains and the noise factor seemed fairly well controlled (tho we faced south away from freeway and rail lines which probably helped). Breakfast was good (scrambled eggs, sausage patties, cereal, juice, some fruit), and only missing cheese and ham or similar. Would return.

I stayed at Fairfield Inn & Suites in other cities and this one gave me exactly the same good experience. It was spacious, clean, safe and close to everything. During the pandemic, the hot breakfast was very limited but good enough for a quick start of the day. The good thing was that their indoor swimming pool was reopened!

We stayed one night at the Fairfield Inn and Suites and really enjoyed ourselves. The room was #423 which is a beautiful King Suite with everything one needs. We were upgraded without even asking which is always a nice surprise. The staff is super friendly and attentive and the lady that ran the morning breakfast on June 30th was top notch! All the normal foods I eat such as Yogurt, Granola, Raisin Bran, Bananas, etc were plentiful. Basically a perfect stay and a hotel I will stay at agin when I’m in The Dalles. Highly recommend!

We were lucky enough to find this hotel and we're so glad we stayed here! The staff were especially friendly and very helpful. They also knew a lot about which local businesses were open, The hotel was VERY clean and we LOVED the sitting room that came with our upgraded room. And if you've never been to the Dalles, the area around the Columbia Gorge and Columbia River are breathtaking! Thanks for a great stay!
