We had a great time at the Silverton Inn and Suites. This is an older hotel, but our room had nice fresh paint, very nice and cool new fixtures in the bathroom, a nice large wall mounted TV, period furniture that give it nice personality. It was late in the day and the restaurant isn't open due to COvid and Joshua the innkeeper went and got ice for us. He also was very pleasant, courteous and made us feel that our comfort was very important. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well. There as a wooden table we could pull out and use for the office work we needed to finish. There were plenty of nice places to eat within walking distance or a few minutes by car. We will be returning here for sure!

Nice staff, restaurant not quite open yet. That will be nice. Room clean. Not much parking but we worked it all out. Walls extremely thin. We could hear everything going on in the room next door to us and let's just say I'm glad I didn't have children or teens to listen to the excitement going on for a very long time. Really good location to walk around town though. Won't be staying here again.

Clean. Over priced. Front desk wasn’t staffed after hours. A good average motel at best. Needs major remodeling. Stairs between floors lacked a handrail on one side. Bedside table lamp broken. Multiple appliances plugged into one extension cord (microwave and fridge and Kuireg on a single 12 or14 gauge wire). Bathtub/shower lacked handholds for entering or exiting. No breakfast offering, but fortunately there is a nice coffee shop nearby. Would not recommend to friends.

We close the Silverton Inn and Suites because it is centrally located to the historic town of Silverton. The Inn is attached to a restaurant but they have independent owners. Typically the Inn attendant was not at the desk, which meant we had to call this person. The Inn did not have an ice machine and we had to ask the restaurant for ice. Our room was a “no frills” room with tile floors that need a grout cleaning desperately and the bedding was very basic! We expected more for the $200+ a night that we paid and we would not stay here again.

We had a two night booking at this hotel but left after one night. The property is well-located, right in the heart of town. The "office" is not well marked and was staffed by someone we later learned is part of the housekeeping staff. she was not warm or welcoming. Our assigned room was upstairs, next to a laundry room. There was a pile of sheets on the bed and a towel under the pillow. No towels in the bathroom. It was unclear if the room had been cleaned. When we went to the office to report this the person on duty said "that's not possible" several times. She came upstairs with us and then went to call her boss. She said we could transfer to a room downstairs but that it was "dark". We were tired from traveling and didn't want to wait for the first room to be cleaned so we moved. The room was very dark with only a tiny window. It was next to a laundry room and a housekeeping supply room. The doors to both of these were left open at all times and our room was stuck at the end of that area. The floors were filthy. The bed was very comfortable. The towels were threadbare and the sink had only lukewarm water. We could hear a large compressor running all night. The next morning we decided we could not spend a second night in such miserable conditions and moved to another hotel.
Walking around the property, we could see inside some of the other rooms, all of which were in better locations. Each room is uniquely furnished with antiques. This could be a great property but management needs to work on some things.

Nice town! Inn is within easy walk of many small shops, cafes, services. Don’t expect a luxury inn. Small rooms. Parking is very limited. Suggestions to management: Install an additional handrail for safety. On steps to second floor as they have only a single handrail; periodically check room condition as furniture needed repair and bedside lamp did not work; confirm light switch in bathroom which is positioned within the wet shower area is not a possible code violation and verify it is on a GFI circuit which it did not appear to be; possible circuit overload with coffee maker, refrigerator and microwave on same outlet; provide a no slip mat for tub and a handhold to exit tub safely.

We stsyed at this Inn after a strenuous 8 mike hike in Silver Falls. We arrived after the fromt desk closed, so we called the number on the window, and the lady had our room prepared and gave us the door code, easiest, fastest check in ever! Our room has a coffee bar with a jar of fresh ground coffee, a tea kettle, it is lovely. The bathroom is huge and has a deep jetted jacuzzi! The bed is all white with soft bedding snd really is the nicest bed I have ever slept in , zzzzz zzzzz! We liked the Santee Thai food, just around the corner, we could walk there snd to shops, tbis place is in the middle of town. I would stay here again.

Comfortable rooms but not a typical motel. They don't have enough parking spaces for one car per room. We found the last spot to park on the street down the block. No lobby; you pay at a window. Most of the building belongs to a nice restaurant unaffiliated with the motel. Noisy HVAC and room refrigerator. On the plus side, we could walk to all the fun places in downtown Silverton.

We stayed three nights during the Great Coronavirus Panic of 2019. Despite the hardships (restaurants and bars closed) they went out of their way to make our stay nice. They helped us with business needs. Our room was beautiful. Would definitely stay there again.

On April 8, I received a confirmed reservation for the night of May 14 at the Silverton Inn & Suites in Silverton, Oregon. On May 4, I was told that unless I booked 2 nights, the confirmed reservation would not be honored. I will not pay for two nights when I only need one, and it is now too late to find other lodging in Silverton.

I am extremely disappointed in this turn of events as I had been planning this as a special weekend celebrating my wedding anniversary. We had a wonderful time at last year’s Wine and Jazz Festival and I had been anticipating a repeat of that experience.

At the very least this is a terrible way to do business, and in some sense, it borders on dishonesty and extortion. I will never give my business to Silverton Inn & Suites again, and I urge everyone else to be wary of their business practices.

Response from SilvertonInnSuites, Manager at Silverton Inn and Suites
Responded 9 May 2011
The Silverton Inn and Suites is the only Hotel located in the Heart of Historic Downtown Silverton. Silverton, Oregon is home to many events like the Wonderful Wine and Jazz Festival, and of course other inspiring attractions like the Silver Falls State Park. and Because of our growing popularity and close proximity to the Oregon Garden, and it is unfortunate that in very rare cases we are unable to accommodate expecting guests do to our minimum two nights stay policy on high occupancy dates. We do however make a large effort to provide accommodations in our area and The Silverton Inn and Suites will always try to provide guests with complimentary extras or gifts when booking with our hotel. I personally apologize, and if at anytime you wish to come and stay with the Silverton Inn and Suites. We would like to offer an array of travel bonuses including Dinner, Garden Admission, Breakfast, etc. Thank you...Management of the Silverton Inn and Suites.
