Hotel's Favourite
Staff so friendly and efficient and Rosanna at the front desk made us feel very welcomed. And she cheerfully greeted us again this morning remembering we’d been to the Trailblazers game the night before! Michael in the bar was also so kind and helpful as was the valet person but I wasn’t able to catch his name. Our made made-to-order breakfast was delicious and we were impressed that prices were reasonable as was the secured parking lot (where so many properties charge $45-50 which I think is ridiculous and won’t stay at those hotels). Our corner room on the 5th floor was so comfortable and cozy I wish we could’ve stayed longer so next time we’re in Portland we’ll have to come back to the Mark Spencer!

My son had an elective surgery. MarkSpencer was convenient, cost effective and comfortable for a family of 3. The Spencer Cafe was a savior for coffee and breakfast. The room was quiet which was paramount. Parking was convenient Thx Again.

This hotel is in a renovated historic building centrally located to everything downtown. There are a ton of bars, restaurants, and shops within walking distance. The rooms are clean and large. The staff is extremely helpful. I highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed for a night in need of a luxurious moment for myself, and this hotel definetly met my expectations! The gym has a good selection of weights for those who want that, the rooms are very lovely, but the staff were the highlight, no doubt!

Our stay at the Mark Spencer was great. We have stayed there a number of times in the past and always enjoyed, but have not for a couple of years so was not sure of how they were doing, and also had some concerns about the location(more on that in a moment). We were happy to see things are quite well at the hotel. Lobby very nice, clean and welcoming. Hotel staff we encountered all very warm, friendly and very helpful. Room clean and well set up(though they could use more usb ports for charging). Beds very comfortable (a big one for me) and bathroom clean and roomy. As I mentioned, giving the difficult problem Portland is having downtown we were a bit leery about the location, and the problems are evident(I say this as someone that lived in Portland for many years and loves Portland), but honestly, we did not feel uncomfortable or unsafe walking around the hotel or into the pearl District at all. Many people were out going to restaurants and various Portland activities and there are some great restaurants nearby. Granted we were out only in the early dinner time hours, but we saw many folks just going about their daily lives and it made our hearts glad, for the city, for the businesses and for the people. Really enjoyed my stay at Marc Spencer. They had the most comfortable bed. Great location they were within walking distance of everywhere I wanted to visit. Only complaint is I couldn’t stay longer to really enjoy it

Great location - easy walking distance from so much good stuff. Very comfortable and clean room, very helpful and friendly staff. The Max goes right by the hotel, but insulation prevents the sound from being a problem.
