Front desk manager is awesome. He went above and beyond for us! Lobby is beautiful and clean. Gym was wonderful also. Breakfast was good and the rooms are a little outdated but very clean and comfortable. I have only 1 complaint and that is the surrounding area is ghetto. There are homeless people walking through the parking lot all night. Definitely keep an eye on your vehicle. Other than that my stay was wonderful. I would for sure come back. Thank you!
I have been staying here for Many. Many years and have seen staff turn over and over. But they always get in New wonderful people! I can't thank everyone enough for this visit! Its a great Hotel within walking distance to the light rail which I Love because it will take you everywhere all day for $5.00. Downtown ect... If you are scared of the Homeless then just don't come to Portland! They are everywhere and Yes Close to the Hotel. BUT PLEASE don't let that Scare you! They are Homeless and typically Never bother you. I have Never had a problem and I walk back from the Light rail late at night in the dark. The Hotel now has 24hr security just to make everyone feel comfortable .Not because its unsafe! They Rarely and I will say Rarey ever have a problem. Hotel is locked for your security just like every Hotel in this entire city! Please don't feel unsafe if you chose to stay here! They look out for there guests so you will be comfortable and choose to stay here again and again, I know I have! For Many, Many years! They told me the Hot breakfast is back, but I have not been able to take advantage of it because the beds are so comfortable I just want to sleep in but when I did in the past it was amazing. Thanks again everyone! Cant wait to see you in Fall…
breakfast is your typical one nothing fancy. No safe in the room or available (even though it says on the door you can ask). Outside May look like eyesore but they do have security and your stay will be great after you get over that.
Problems from the start. I was checked into a room which had not been cleaned and smelled from the trash still in the garbage. I was put into another room which didn't have a TV remote. I called front desk, she said she would call me back. Still no call back after 2 hrs so I called front desk again only to be unapologetically told there are no other remotes and no other room to move to. Microwave and coffee maker not working either. Come to find out they were unplugged so I had to move the big heavy dresser to plug them in. Why would they be unplugged in the first place? Shower handle falling apart. Key card didn't work when trying to enter hotel the next day. Unable to get printed invoice upon check out. Front desk said they would email. 2 days later I still hadn't received. I had to call hotel to request the invoice again. Not much good to say. Internet was good. Ample parking. …
Close to Expo Center, nothing fancy. Breakfast was okay, room was small but clean. Front desk was friendly at check-in. Checking out was just texting a phone number “out” which was kind of nice. Overall good experience.
Checkin went smooth even though we arrived late night We had a pleasant stay.Nice property , courteous staff , breakfast and clean rooms all in a budget friendly price range.Ample free car parking at the premises with security. We would recommend this hotel to our friends and families members.
Dated property, depressing old decor. Useless wifi. Hot breakfast not available one day, not appetizing for me most days. Comfortable bed and hot water were about the best aspects. The single access driveway is blocked in the afternoon rush by cars lining up for I-5 north if you're trying to come in from the east. Coming from the west (I-5) if you're lucky someone will let you in. Not recommended.
Neighborhood feels unsafe with many homeless folks hanging out in parking lot. Worried about my car being broken into which fortunately didn’t happen. Staff and room were fine but location was loud and unhygienic
We booked our room for a normal King bedroom then when I called and they found out it was our 33rd anniversary they upgraded us to a king suite which was amazing we will totally come back again this was an amazing stay
I reserved a wheelchair accessible room and was dumbstruck at what was considered ADA compliant. The bathroom wasn't even close to being accessible. The door opened into the room, making it impossible to close unless I rolled into the shower and folded my footrests to turn around. Even though a shower chair was provided, the configuration of the narrow shower to the bathroom made it near impossible to transfer; my husband had to assist me. There was only one grab bar, which was installed on the wrong wall! Access to the toilet was a joke. The space was so narrow, I had to back into the room to get close. We will never stay at this hotel again.
