If you wish to feel unwelcome, uncomfortable and you’re being watched at all times this is the place to stay. One of the male owners of this motel made some under his breath comment and then shoved the key cards for a replacement room. I had asked for another room because the room I was given (43) smelled like a meld of scents: ashtray, mold, mildew and urine. He then proceeded to keep walking by my room and when I went to my vehicle to make a call he stared at me through the side office window. I went and confronted him asking what was the issue and he just glared at me and said something unintelligible walked out office area to a back room and shut the door. This place charges a “Resort Fee” but is far from a resort. No pool an ice machine that is either not working or inaccessible. The Rooms: horrible outdoor carpeting for indoor carpeting with various stains and other unknown substances stuck to the ceiling and walls. Refrigerators are either full-size or mini but always placed awkwardly. Mismatched tables and chairs with most tables being nothing more than a low coffee table and pretty much unusable as a table in the sense that one would want in a hotel room. Layout of the rooms are all haphazard - most with bed and other furniture placed where they would fit not where most useful of functional. I don’t recommend this Motel.

Room only had bare minimum items in it. No breakfast served to guests. Have to pay a service fee that is not disclosed when booking the room. Had to pay significant deposit for the room, which adds onto the costs that I now need to wait to get back. It is as if the office doesn’t want to talk to the guests because it is always locked and customers have to be buzzed in. No pool, no hot tub, no hand soap in the bathroom, no sanitizer. Appeared to have mold on the wall in an upper corner.

Ok. If you like extremely poor management who live for a power trip over young single women, then by all means enjoy your stay. I was here 3 nights by myself with absolutely no issue. The night before I asked the manager if they can hold on to my stuff for a few hours while I look for housing. He said it was okay. The next morning (today) when I checked out, I called my Uber in the waiting lounge. He snidely told me to wait outside that I couldnt wait here all day. I have seen people wait in there much longer and I was only there for 10 minutes. I told him that my Uber was arriving soon and that I had been a paying guest here for 3 days so I didn't see what the animosity was for. So as I stepped outside, he told me to take my luggage with me which was well over 100 lbs and that he was no longer going to hold on to it. If that was his way of teaching me a lesson, he clearly has control issues. I didn't do anything or say anything drastic wrong, I never broke policy, and because he didn't hold on to my stuff like I originally asked, it made me need to cancel my housing appointments because I can't carry 100 lbs of stuff with me. He also told me to suck his d**k and that women like me are the reason why this country is so terrible. I will never go back there and this "man" shouldn't be in a position to manage or own a business. Ladies, go anywhere else but here.

This motel is nothing to write home about. Bed only had one thin blanket and thin coverlet, which in November is really not good enough. It was a large bed so I managed by doubling over the blanket and coverlet. Worked okay. However, this motel is right on the LRT line which takes you into downtown Portland. Stop is only half a block away so it is really convenient. Also this line stops at the train station which worked for me. Also a really nice neighbourhood a short walk away on Nightingale Street which had lots of great restaurants.

We took an impromptu trip to Portland so shame on me for not planning better. We found a room that day, great. Nope not really. I should have stayed in my car. There was black mold in the shower, water leaking from the ceiling. Then there was a case of bed bugs. Unfortunately after a drunken night, you dont notice until the next morning the bites all over your body. STAY AWAY!!!!

I suddenly find myself homeless after being evicted from this dive for complaining about an unclean room. I booked three nights at this horrible place because it is close to Kaiser hospital where I had surgery scheduled. After the first night I realized just how disgusting my room was. As I left for the hospital, I thought I’d ask at the front desk for another room. I was told that I should gather my things and that I could leave them with him, and when I returned he’d put me in a new room. A I was collecting my things, the manager burst into my room and started yelling at me, accusing me of lying and of trying to get a discount. I was mortified by his aggressiveness. I tried to show him the urine stains on the bathroom walls (and other stains from who knows what). Without allowing me to get a word in edgewise he screamed that that there was not another room available, that I had to get out, vacate the premises, and that I was not welcome here. At the front desk, he continued his assault, berating me in front of other guests as they tried to check out because I didn’t know how to use the tub faucet (I had complained because it looked like it was about to fall off the wall and provided only really hot water or really cold water). He refunded me for the two remaining nights of my reservation (minus state and local taxes which he said he could not refund). Physically shaking from the encounter, I left the motel for my surgery appointment with all of my belongings. I can only imagine how truly frightening such an encounter would be for a woman traveling alone. Why didn’t I check the reviews on YELP first? The reviews on Booking.com did not prepare me for what I was to experience here. I see now from YELP reviews that there is a pattern here. This is a filthy motel run by a very angry, threatening man. I cannot for the life of me imagine how this place can still be open for business. I have traveled the world (including India, this fellow’s homeland) and am not unfamiliar with less than perfect accommodations. But for the price, this place is completely unacceptable. I ended up relocating to the Monticello Motel up the road. Also run by Indian immigrants, also an old motel that has seen better days, but it was clean and peaceful. The Palms should be shut down.

The room was dirty, the shower was filthy and there was mold around the toilet. The owner was beyond rude when I pointed out how dirty my room was. It's been a while that I have seen such a depraved place. There are much better motels just up the road.

This is a real dive motel. The rooms are dirty, and there was mold in the bathrooms. The staff are rude. I cannot recommend this hotel, and would recommend you avoid this place and spend a little bit more for a decent place.
