The service was great. The pillows were awesome. :) The room was very clean. The restaurant food was delicious. The lobby was quite chilly, but when I got to my room, the hallway/room was cozy. I would absolutely recommend and I would stay here again.
Room had glitter all over as if it's never been vacuumed after another person's stay. Wasn't told that housekeeping was every other day when booking - totally misleading. TP & Kleenex hardly even 1 ply - falls apart & basically have to use way more than needed & not comfortable or pleasant. Valet employees were very delightful, but this really isn't valet. I'm handicapped (which I explained when booking). I asked about valet as I was very nervous about being safe & comfortable. Big ZERO on that experience. You have to pull up on a busy street with no real "lane" for valet. So, when I open my passenger door, I'm met with oncoming traffic. Next, your curb is extremely high. I had to walk all the way down to the end of the block (wet, rainy conditions, with leaves & oncoming traffic - uneven pavement) just to get to a safe place to get on the curb. Again, these things aren't their "fault", however, it was obvious when I was asking questions I was concerned about the valet experience. I feel they weren't transparent. The entry doors (using the handicap button) worked 50% of the time. Very dangerous as it starts opening & then closes & if you try to keep it open you can knock yourself down. By the way, this was noted by another customer who wasn't handicapped. They felt the doors were dangerous and very heavy. When valet was present, they were so helpful and opened it for me, but of course, they can't always be there. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this hotel as it's "marketed" as a 4.5 star hotel and I would say it's more like a 2 or 3 star & at that level, I'd give it higher ratings as some of the things I mentioned would be expected. But in no way is it a 4.5 star hotel. Sheets & comforters not comfortable. Pillows are not comfortable. Just very disappointing. There are more things I’m not remembering as I’m trying to block out this disappointing experience.…
We could walk everywhere (sights, snacks, booze, great restaurants, food trucks etc) - the location could not have been better. Hotel was quiet and the bar in the hotel was top notch! Felt safe at all times as well.
This hotel was impressive from start to finish. Valet service was easy and quick ($49 is the flat rate per night, you can come and go as you please which is so nice). Security was top notch. Room was beautiful and comfortable. Will definitely stay here again if I’m ever in Portland for something, and will rave about them to anyone who will listen.
I’m giving this review a one out of five because of one thing… The toilet seat was dirty upon my arrival. I said to myself if the toilet seat is dirty what else in this place it’s filthy. I really couldn’t sleep well because I was wondering if there was going to be any creepy crawlers coming out of the walls. Other than that the stay was pleasant.
This was a pleasant stay, the staff was super friendly and made the stay even more enjoyable. My room was nice and bed was very comfortable. This hotel was in a great location in downtown Portland. I would definitely stay here again.
The staff was friendly, everything was clean, bed was super comfortable, hotel was nice and quiet. Enjoyed breakfast in the hotel 3 times while we were there. Excellent service. The location was within walking distance of many of the places we wanted to go. Would definitely stay there again!
We were very pleased with our stay at the Paramount. The room was very clean and comfortable and the valet and front desk staff were helpful and friendly. Can't beat the central location for exploring the city.
Overall a great stay. Rooms are exceptional--about a half notch below a Four Seasons! Very clean, modern, well maintained. Luxurious bathroom. Efficient elevator. Staff was all very nice. Ended on a sour note with trying to grab breakfast on departure morning. ONE guy doing everything in restaurant, and not doing it very well. Almost walked out, it took so long. Food was just average when it arrived. Stay here, but eat elsewhere!
Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. Will definitely consider staying here again. The brussels sprouts at Swine were phenomenal. Valet parking was very responsive and quick. The only issue is the location. Downtown Portland has lost some of its vibrancy.
