I’ve been here three times. Clean, quiet, safe. Close to where I want to be. The staff is excellent at this hotel and very accommodating. I quit looking for places to stay after finding this hotel. Works for me.

We stayed one night this summer effectively for my daughter to take a test the next day. We had a room with 2 queen beds facing the freeway.
This is clearly a hotel meant for people in transit (staying in town for a few days on your own dime between jobs). They try to make you comfortable and have a good place for staying. It is in an industrial part of town and surrounded by truck depots and warehouses. Safe for driving there but not for walking around. The building is locked at night and the phone to get you connected to the desk was not functional. After knocking the glass, they let us in. The staff is professional and the young woman who checked us in a bit robotic. Nothing bad, but also not trying hard to be friendly. Lobby is small. No one wore a mask. The hotel was not very crowded and parking lot mostly empty on a Friday night in the summer. The room was clean and functional, roomy, and quiet (at least for a mostly empty hotel). The building seemed well maintained, though the tub did not drain well (a sign of poor plumbing maintenance in my book). There is a kitchenette in the room with a giant clean full sized fridge and even a 2 burner stove and microwave. There is also coin laundry on facility. Food service consists of basic stuff brought to your room (they don't bother listing prices or a detailed menu) and some items (think soda, candy bars, laundry detergent, etc.) for sale at the desk. There is free wifi and ethernet with pretty decent speed.
Overall, very functional place even for an extended business stay. Good value for that. Just don't expect a romantic getaway, cute interiors, fun things for kids, or fun people to meet in the lobby.

We are traveling and coming back from siteseeinlg the Waterfalls along Historic Route 30, and booked that hotel the day before we got there. Glad we did!!. It was a First time experience with My Place and it was excellent 👍👌‼️
Staff there were nice, helpful, and friendly with positive attitude. My service dog chech in went easily and smoothly. Our room with 2 Q-Beds appeared to be big and clean. We enjoyed Quite and peaceful environment.
Laundry area kept super clean, very well maintained , and cost for using machines was very inexpensive!
Complimentary coffee has been available fresh and hot.
Late check out we requested went easily without any problem.
Big Thank You to the staff for our wonderful pleasure to stay at Gresham My Place!!!

My partner and I stayed at this property on a 1 1/2 week extended stay to visit friends. You have the benefit of having a *brand new* hotel that is well maintained. I was impressed as I know Portland well, and Gresham can be an interesting area to feel settled and safe in. Nestled in the middle of other hotels, this hotel stands out as one that offers something FAR better and different. The service is overall OUTSTANDING (a huge shoutout to Travis and Harmony of the housekeeping team for being so friendly, always willing to go out of their way to help, and making it feel like more than a hotel); though, there is a couple people at the front desk (can't think of names, but a blonde woman stood out in that way) who never say hello or speak in a sarcastic tone. The rooms are wonderful studio apartments (though, note that they do not come with pots, pans, utensils to use in the kitchenette - we were on a road trip and already had some of those things with us, but you may want to bring those things). The bed is very comfortable. It felt like coming home after a long day of adventuring. The walls are a bit thin, so be advised that you'll hear some noise in the halls and maybe in other rooms, but it wasn't annoying or unmanageable. The hotel is located in an area of town where you may see homeless camps and people living in cars nearby (but honestly, at this point, that's all of Portland...even in the Pearl District now! Whew!), but this is not the hotel's fault and they do an exceptional job of mitigating this challenge and keeping the property feeling safe and home-like. There was dedicated security staff on the property at night and I felt like I could ask the staff for help if needed. One thing to note is that they do take a minimum of $100 deposit on your card when you check in. I think this could be a bit more clear, but that's a pretty minor point for me. Strongly recommend!!! Well done to MyPlace Hotels for filling a gap in the market and giving a nice place to feel at home on the road.

I booked a room at this MyPlace hotel through Priceline for $109. When I arrived they wouldn't honor the price. The clerk was young and rude. The manager wouldn't come down (was "in a meeting" at 7:00PM). The clerk talked to the manager on the phone and eventually relayed back to me that the room cost Priceline advertised and reserved for me, was not the cost the hotel had contracted with the Priceline.
I called Priceline and had them on speaker phone while talking with the clerk. After 20-30 minutes, Priceline finally determined there was "a glitch" in the system and the price they reserved for me was indeed lower than their agreement with the hotel. Priceline apologized and offered to cancel the reservation "for free" so I could go elsewhere.
Then the clerk had the balls to say no, they couldn't cancel the reservation for free, that there was a cancellation fee and my card would be charged! The Priceline representative was able to get it waved, but the clerk at the hotel was actually unhappy that they didn't get to charge me.
The clerk appeared to have some "social" challenges and had the very distinct black/white thinking of a younger person, which was a large part of the communication issue while we were trying to figure out the problem. It was a nightmarish 30 minutes and I am frustrated with both Priceline (for their glitch) and MyPlace for not working with me even a little when this was an issue with their booking agent and not my fault.

The folks at Priceline are not our booking agents. All we are able to do on our end, is to process the rate(s) that Priceline has forwarded to us. If that rate is incorrect, your issue is with Priceline. So, we did in fact "honor Priceline reservation" (your title for this letter). As for my desk staffs "balls" or "social issues"...I am not qualified to comment on either.

There is nothing I dislike more than a bed that feels like you are sleeping on lightly padded plywood and that i exactly what our bed felt like. I spent the first night in the recliner after giving up. Using the duvet as a pad got me through a partial second night. The ads and the booking forms also do not mention that you have a kitchen, but have to buy any dishes you want to use. The hotel info cards in the lobby mention pet stations, staff knew nothing about them. Free coffee in the lobby, but the evening crew did not rinse the soap from the air pump after washing! The in room coffee is Farmers, and makes the weakest cup of coffee I have seen in years. Housekeeping needs a wake up, we found two used wash cloths in the bathroom, one of the back of the door, the other hanging on the shower rod.

Beyond bizarre really. We booked this hotel because it describes itself as a sort stay and an extended stay hotel and the rooms have well equipped kitchens with hob. Lge fridge/freezer and microwave. We bought food intending to cook in, after a long day touring. Got to the room and it was nice, very good looking kitchen, bathroom. We unpacked and I began to prepare dinner only to find there was not a plate, cup, cutlery, pan, utensils...... Nothing. I thought perhaps they were available on demand so I went to the desk only to be informed that they don't supply them!!!! Well what good is supplying a hob to cook on if you don't supply cookware I asked. Good point she said but had no further suggestion. We were too tired to go out or we'd have checked out - it was in a sort of truvkers/warehouse area anyway.... The next morning I complained again at checkout and this time the desk clerk told me "oh no we are not extended stay so we don't supply them". But you advertise as extended stay and with kitchens I pointed out. Silence and then some nonsense about covid and company stds. Booking. Com have kindly given me a discount on the 117 usd it cost us to stay here. Myplace need to make up their mind what they are and adjust their advertising accordingly so that customers can make an honest decision. It is nonsense to say that because they are not extended stay they don't supply cookware or crockery. I mean if I was staying somewhere for an extended period I might buy a pan. Im not going to do that for one night. And a kitchen is useless without it. My advice would be to stay somewhere cheaper with a microwave and fridge because that's really all that's usable here.

We were traveling in our Rv. We needed a place to stay a couple days while our Rv brakes were being checked. The staff especially Harmony at the front desk were super great. We had to extend our stay a couple of days and they were very accommodating even though they were booked up. Room was super clean well stocked. Full size refrig, which was great since I had to take everything out of the RV refrig, 2 burner glass stove. Microwave, huge walk in shower. I give this hotel 5 stars. We felt safe here staff were great, rooms were well stockedwe definitely will stay her again i if need arises again in this area.

We recently stayed at the My Place Hotel in East Portland, and to be honest, we didn’t know what to expect.
With that said, it exceeded everything we could have expected anyway.
We booked only a few days during the recent record heat wave in the PNW. Our place, pet, and us were sweltering. We needed a place to be able to work, and relax.
A little bit of a refuge.
We got just that, and a great, comfortable space with more in-room amenities than we had even needed. Which is a solid problem to have.
The staff were super understanding of our situation, and couldn’t have been more helpful, friendly, and quick.
We will definitely be visiting other locations if they are an option when we travel.
I will also definitely be recommending this spot to anyone that needs a comfortable, pet friendly (cats, too!), helpful, clean space.
Thanks much!

Horrible Experience..
My family and I stay at my place quite often when we travel never had any issues always a great experience. We booked a one night stay at this location and paid with a line of credit before arrival. When we arrived we were told we would have to do $100 hold on a card for each room which was expected we put that on a different card.
After check in we realized that we were charged 4 transactions of 100.00 for each (200.00) a room and an additional 80 per room again. (The rooms were paid for before arrival) A total of $553 was taken from our card. When talking to the gentleman that was working the evening shift, he said he would leave a message for the manager. They’ve been having problems with their system. This was very frustrating and put a large change to our plans. Everyone was upset, we did not get to do what we had planned. My daughter just turned 18 and we were heading to Northern California for a couple days to celebrate with family. We had our finances planned out perfect.we would have gotten paid a day after arriving at families but with this 553.00 the hotel room held changed our entire plan and vacation. We had to turn around and head home.the assistant manager was just apologizing that’s not good enough.. No comp nothing was offered to us for this HUGE INCONVENIENCE. Also could not provide us with anything showing or staying this will be refunded. Her word I guess was supposed to be good enough. Not to
Mention we did not have body wash in the built in dispenser in the shower and our other room for our daughter and her friend was out of shampoo. This was a very upsetting experience and I will not be staying at this location again. A hotel that makes a mistake like this we anrent taking about 50-100 dollars but almost 600 and offers You nothing.Especially when you tell them what this did to your daughters 18th bday get away. Really makes me disgusted.
