This is an extremely well managed hotel outside Portland. The room and grounds are immaculate, the staff very pleasant and the surroundings safe. There is mandatory daily room cleaning that keeps the environment from being shady. I highly recommend this hotel. Thank you for the surprisingly pleasant stay.
Cute little motel with friendly staff. Bed was super comfortable and we slept well. There was some traffic noise but it didn't bother us. Bathroom was a little dated and could use renovation, but it was very clean and everything worked just fine. For a cheap motel, this was a pleasant surprise.
Friendly, professional, prompt check-in. Nicely decorated, colorful, comfortable boutique-style rooms. Surprise happiness after a long couple days on the road. Recommend if you need to be within easy striking distance of downtown Portland without being in the middle of all the congestion.
We looked for a hotel for passing through and were very happy with the Capitol Hill Motel. It’s not located directly in Portland but as we didn’t have any time to explore the city we didn’t worry about that. The outside facade looked very nice and the room was spacious and well furnished. Missed a heating in the bathroom. Most restaurants nearby close quite early, around 9pm. We would come back.
This motel is one of the original “motor hotels”, complete with garages between units. We had a 2-bedroom unit which was nice for our teen. The room was clean. Shower was small. Ceiling fans in both rooms was nice. We ran the cooler at night on fan mode just for white noise. The guy checking us in and the current owner, who checked us out, were kind and helpful. NOTE: this place is not handicap accessible. There are steps to the office and into each unit.
Extremely clean, comfortable & well designed room. Free parking & within walking distance to numerous restaurants. Very friendly staff & great landscaping. Definitely recommend this privately owned motel.
My son, husband and myself stayed in the 2 bedroom family room. While gathering our things before check out we moved the bed and found a used hyoerdermic needle. We called the office to show them and the owners tried to say we must have put it there. There was also a dirty pair of xxxl womens underware. We must have put those there to. You know with me being a size small and all. The owner is rude and very unprofessional. And beware of the cameras right above your door that records right into your room. The Doubletree by Hilton was so much better after we left this crappy motel.
We enjoyed our stay here. Easy to exit road around back. There was also a coffee stand right in front that was good. Muchas gracias, a 24 hour fast food joint that served up some tasty Mexican food. The shower was just a stand up. I loved what we got for the value and from my expectations of a motel experience. The only thing that kept me from doling out 5 stars were the pillows. The sad excuse for pillows on our bed were flat and worthless. Only 2 pillows, and comfort while sleeping should be number one priority.
We stay for one night super room kitchen. Parking in front of the room. Friendly Service!! If it is possible we come again. Kann man nur empfehlen sehr sauber und gepflegt. Freundlicher Service Preis kann man akzeptieren 110 Dollar
Capitol Hill Motel was a quaint step back in time. I was happy knowing they catered to families in need of separate bedrooms, not many places are left that do that. Nothing luxurious just the basics and an extremely helpful and friendly owner. If I had one complaint it would be the sliver-sized bars of soap they use, it's barely enough for one quick shower.
