I have stayed at The Canopy twice in the last week and can say I really like it. The staff are friendly, and respond to needs and requests quickly. If you are driving, know that there isn't a garage and either you'll have to find street parking or use the valet parking, which is not inexpensive. There are many things to like about The Canopy and one is their "green" consciousness. They don't supply plastic water bottles in the room but there is a water dispenser in the hall and they have very cute bottles in the room to keep the water in. They also, and this might be a first, have bee hives on the rooftop deck!!! The Canopy is ideally situated for walking anywhere in the Pearl and easy access to downtown either by foot, car or trolley. Lots of great restaurants (Andina among them) and shopping (POWELLS Books of course). I'll stay again if I need to.

My boyfriend and I spent some time researching hotel in the pearl and downtown Portland district. The canopy caught my eye due to the spacious room layout and the decor of the hotel. We were so happy with our choice! The location was perfect; everything was in walking distance or a quick uber ride. The host was friendly and barista alway had a smile and good recommendation for a drink (The cookie in a cup was favorite !) We had never been to Portland before, so we didn't know too many place. The bartender, Caesar, was a huge help in helping us find good restaurants & bars for the nightlife and was always friendly. He definitely was our favorite person to sit and chat with and helped make our stay amazing.
The room had a Nespresso machine that was pretty cool and I loved the scented soaps/ toiletries that were provided. The room was adorable and it was spotless upon check in. housekeeping did an excellent job making the room up each day and we always return to the room looking 100. It was the best housekeeping I've experienced in all of my hotel stays.

I went to the Canopy in Pearl District Portland to get away, have some quiet, and do some comedy performances. This place was pretty darned perfect. Ultra- efficient check in process (it’s almost likely they know you just want to get to your room and lay down). Room was spacious, clean, easy on the eyes, with a bed so nice that I said “I do not deserve this but I sure do appreciate it“.
The bar was also excellent. The bartender “Haley” was beautiful and funny and pretended to like me very convincingly. All seven or eight people that I interacted with there on my three day stay were all engaging and friendly.
Canopy does a great job of hiring actually friendly people to interact with the public. That would seem like a basic requirement, but you would be surprised how many places do not do this well.
Also, this location is perfect for an extended stay for a short stay. Great places to eat like a great sandwich shop “breakbread”,
and there even a really nice grocery store less than two blocks away. The staff will also quickly recommend other places to eat around town, and don’t spend any time focusing on selling their own products.
They let the convenience and quality and service speak for itself.
Anyways, it’s a great place, and I highly recommend.

Common areas: Large and inviting with flexible seating. Downstairs area is a combination feel of living room/lobby/rec room with pool table and multiple seating areas. Rooftop patio with views of city.
Rooms: concrete floors with thin rugs made rolling luggage easy. Instead of closet there is a entry/mudroom set up with open rods and shelving. Bathroom door is sliding bard door that does not lock. Big shower with deluxe heads but no tub. Fridge and coffee makers. No disposable cups but refillable glass bottles.
Location: Bit of walk to public transportation lines. Sometimes streets were a tricky to navigate with people sleeping or camping on sidewalks. Nearby grocery store for quick eats.
Breakfast: local products are featured. Large variety of offerings.
Gym: on the top floor with full glass windows overlooking the city
Cautions: local friends advised to be careful in the area.

Thank you for the great review! It looks like you hit all of the high points of our Canopy! If you should need a tub when you stay with us again, be sure to mention it as we have a certain portion of our rooms with that availability... If you want to stick with a roomy shower, subway tile and great shower head, you are good there too! Thank you for choosing us! Positively yours, Mark Strelcheck

We visited Portland for a 4 day trip over Thanksgiving 2019 and stayed at this hotel. Without doubt, this hotel was tastefully decorated both in the lobby area as well as the room. The lobby and the bar/restaurant inside the hotel all look absolutely stunning. Our room looked just like you see in the photos. The bed was very comfortable and room was spacious. The only issue we faced was that the walls seem somewhat thin and we could hear the couple in the next argue for several hours while we were trying to sleep on 1 night. The location was pretty good, right in the heart of Pearl district. It didn't have hustle-bustle of the prime downtown area, but still had the atmosphere of a chic neighborhood with art galleries, restaurants, etc. The downtown area was only around 15 min walk. The subway station (to take the train to the Airport) was conveniently located at a 10-15 min walk. The breakfast at the restaurant inside the hotel was really fancy, tasty and priced reasonably. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel. I will almost certainly stay at this hotel the next time I visit Portland.

Canopy
It's my first time staying in a canopy Hilton and overall had a great stay. Their bed was one of the most comfortable I have been on and they have filtered water on every floor. They are eco friendly so there are not microwaves in the rooms but the mini fridge is in a drawer. The whole room has style and employees are helpful (Drew & Marissa at check in and Jon & Rachel at breakfast). The location is in the pearl district with walkable food options. Parking is by valet for $47/a night and as a diamond member, a food and beverage credit of $15 is provided. I loved the comfy couch and the two shower head options but the chair provided isn't great for working in the hotel (although it looks nice). The ac is sooo quiet and it was cool having the concrete floor. Breakfast can take a bit since they make it fresh so if you are in a hurry, I recommend calling ahead/placing the order to go. The style of the room/hotel was really fun and theres common areas available as well. I'd stay in this property again.

This is the second time I have stayed at this property in the heart of Portland and it was as phenomenal as the first stay. I am from Portland and frequently do staycations with family and friends, so I have spent time at many properties in my city. The Canopy Hilton is a favorite. The location has easy access to transit and is within walking distance to Downtown, as well as the many wonderful food and shopping experiences in the Pearl. The hotel has a beautiful urban aesthetic and the staff could not be more gracious or accommodating. I highly recommend you add on breakfast. It is a relaxed and delicious way to start your day whether exploring the city or staying for business. The chef makes her own granola, which is beyond amazing. (Trust me, you are going to thank me for sharing this later) For the price, ammenities, location and relaxed atmosphere, this location cannot be beat.

The hotel is new, hence the decor is contemporary, fresh and modern. The amenities and rooms are of course modern, and brand new.
It truly felt refreshing staying at a Hilton Hotel in the USA that does not have old carpet, dull colors and just outdated.
The location is of course top notch! Can’t beat the Pearl District.
Given our short stay and CoViD-19 challenges, these limited our overall experience. However the staff is what made the difference for us! Super friendly, professional and accommodating. I would happily stay there again because of the customer service!

Stayed here for business. Its location is epic. Walked to Whole Foods for groceries, Prasad for Dinner and Greenleaf Juice Co. to keep myself fueled with goodies. Melted into the bed and slept like a baby. Standup shower is roomy with unlimited hot water.

No valet right now. If you park in their lot it’s 35/day I think. But you can park by World Foods two blocks away for about 14 I think.
Thank you for your question. No we do not offer a shuttle service from the airport and recommend a cab or shared car service like Lyft or Uber. A cab will cast about $35-$40 and a shared car service about $25-$30
Thank you for your message. Unfortunately no we do not offer a shuttle service. There is a street car line adjacent to the hotel and a light rail line about 6 blocks away. However the best option to the MODA center is probably a cab or a shared ride service like Lyft or Uber.
I'm not sure but you can call or email them to confirm.
