Pretty good 2 night stay— staff very friendly at reception and at breakfast. Cruz the concierge is a star! Very knowledgeable and friendly - wonderful recommendations and insight on restaurants and bars. Also the French gentleman at Reception was great! Friendly and personable. Great team. Valet area downstairs is nice but they aren’t overly as helpful or friendly as the crew upstairs. Very nice bed and comfortable room. Great shower pressure. Some of the minor details of wear and tear are present in the room (bed skirt stained, floor boards in bathroom condition, air vent in bedroom was noisy, etc.). TV channels/system a little outdated and lethargic. Gym is nice but 2 of the treadmills were extremely wobbly/missing a leg or something. Kind of dangerous. The avocado toast at breakfast was A+. They service complimentary coffee daily in lobby. Would prefer a coffee maker in room :)…
The Nines Hotel is a very luxurious hotel with unique art pieces that you will see throughout the hotel. When you walk in The Nines hotel, on the first floor, you will see valet check-in and then from there, you will get directions on where/how to park your car at the property. From there, they will ask you to go up to the 8th floor and that is where the lobby is. The Nines has 331 rooms with 9 stories (why it’s called The Nines hotel) and serval meeting/ballrooms. This hotel also features a nice living room behind the front desk where you can relax at and there is a bright sky light that has very nice soft lighting. There is also a library and a barrel room on the same floor as the lobby however, it is only reserved for meeting spaces. The amenities of the hotel are free coffee and tea daily at the lobby but if you want them to bring it up to your room, you can request that (there is no coffee nor tea maker at your room). There is also a 24-hour fitness room, a rooftop patio on the 15th floor (closed on Mondays and Tuesdays), 24 hour room service, complimentary Wi-Fi, laundry service, daily housekeeping, and is pet-friendly (please read the terms on their website on more about pets). On the 12th floor, there is also a club room, however that is closed for now until next year. The hotel has two restaurant: one of them is Urban Farmer which is open from 7am-2pm and 5-11pm everyday and Departure which is open from 4-11pm and closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Both of them are very beautiful and upscale restaurants that you must check out! When I first walked in, this guest room was very beautiful. There was a bathrobe, slippers, and there was also a champagne/wine bottle with snacks in the room as well (but you will need to pay a fee if you decided to eat their snacks and drinks. There is also a fridge to store food and a safe as well to lock your belongings but there is no microwave. The coffee/tea maker will be on the 8th floor as there is none in your room however at any time or day, you can request room service to bring it up to you in your room so you don’t need to go down. I saw some unique architecture as well carried on from the lobby. The lamps were very quirky, the wallpaper had a nice design, and I saw a pretty light fixure on the corner of my room. The bathroom was also a very nice large size comapred to other hotels. They provided with you shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel in the shower. There are also clean towels and a hair dryer as well in the bathroom. The only thing about the bathroom was that the floors were very cold so you would need to wear slippers or shoes since there are no heated floors. You get that nice, artistic, and luxurious feel with pops of blue and it’s a bougie vibe to feel. My view was very nice because it overlooked Downtown Portland with many buildings and had a nice city vibe when you look outside. There was a concert that is going on in Pioneer Courthouse Square so you can hear the concert going on since the hotel is next to the square however, you should still get a goodnight sleep since the concert doesn’t go all night. It’s just during the afternoon/early evening. There is a bit of noise since you are in the Downtown Area however, it wasn’t super loud and I still slept well. If you are going to stay at The Nines, be careful around that area because there are some sketchy people roaming the area however, it wasn’t too bad when I stayed there. Just always be aware of your surroundings and be careful. Overall, this hotel has been an amazing, luxurious, glamours, and artist hotel that is relaxing, eye-popping, and extravagant! Very clean hotel with the sweetest staff at the hotel and it makes you feel you are living the lux life! I think the biggest selling point about the hotel is that 15th floor rooftop patio where it overlooks Portland, OR. It’s such a nice place to hangout and there are cozy fire pits for you to get comfortable at too plus a bar area for drinks. Huge shoutout to Cruz who took me on the hotel tour, Anandi for checking me in and out of the hotel, and Joseph who checked up on me during my visit! These people are amazing and can help you out whenever you are at The Nines Hotel! Want a luxurious stay during your visit to Portland, make sure you book with The Nines Hotel!…
The Nines in Portland was simply amazing. We booked 20+ rooms for a client event. The hotel staff was amazing especially Tricia at the front desk who consistently delivered throughout the entire stay.
I booked a stay at The Nines for myself and my family as I’d be away from home with work over Christmas. The concierge team are fantastic. I emailed them ahead of the stay & Cruz Malochwiej contacted me with a list of restaurant recommendations & holiday celebration ideas. We arrived on the 23rd as one of the few flights to land that day, we were 3 hours late and tired having flown fr London UK but were so happy with the service we received. The hotel and the room were immaculate, the staff were so friendly. When we got to our room Cruz had arranged for stockings filled with candy for the kids & a chilled bottle of fizz for the adults. We had a wonderful Christmas, the hotel made it so special despite the difficult weather. The food and service were brilliant too. Thank you to The Nines staff for a wonderful stay.…
What a terrible experience at the Nines. I did not expect that at all. I stayed before and it was ok, not great, but ok. I have booked my husband and our two kids a room for 365 USD in June 2022 for December 2022 since we planned to go to the restaurant in the same building. I have tried to communicate with them around 10 times since (polite brief messages) and they simply did not respond At all. We could neither change or cancel the booking despite that I tried both already in September for the first time. I still have not heard from them. My friend just stayed there and the feedback is - customer service totally lacking (staff acts "too special", young inexperienced), location - huge amount of homeless people right at your doorstep - Pioneer square, atrium rooms extremely claustrophobic. Only positive, very small but overall clean rooms. I would recommend they take it out of the corporate hotel lists and bring your business else where - Lucia, The Benson etc for instance …
We came to the nines for a fun girls'night out in Portland. We had a fantastic time and all of staff went out of their way to accommodate us. Jason and Scott in security were absolutely AMAZING while trying to pack up into our car my girlfriend realized her purse was missing. Security was so helpful to quickly review camera footage and found the bag being dropped accidentally outside of an elevator and then picked up by a staff member. We were so grateful for their assistance. We will definitely be coming again for any night out in Portland.
Very good room service with exceptional quality of food! The room and bathroom past my examination of cleanliness as exceptional,! The only disappointment was pulling back the clean bed sheets to reveal the mattress protector was filthy, covered in yellow stains! They changed it after our first night, since we had an accident with the breakfast in bed! I am giving the nines an excellent review. It was a great stay, in a beautiful hotel. Unfortunately, the mattress cover brings it down to an average experience of just another stay at another hotel, due to the filthy mattress cover.
The decor in the lobby is really striking, unique, and fun; that was our favorite part. The room was very nice, too, although having a window facing an atrium detracts a bit from the feeling of "luxury." Some small details were amiss--the blowdryer had a burning smell and the motor barely ran--we requested a replacement, which came, but took 20 minutes. We also had to call the front desk multiple times, before the phone was answered. The makeup mirror light did not work (would have been helpful for bad eyes) and the shower drain was a bit backed up and drained slowly. However, the wait staff was on point--we had Mackenzie (sp?) for after dinner drinks in the lounge and Diamond for brunch at the Urban Farmer. The front desk staff was friendly and the concierge (Patrick) was helpful in recommending restaurants.…
A group of our extended family members gathered for several days at the Nines hotel in Portland. We pleasantly surprised to find the hotel services adequately staffed and even more pleased that, to a person, every member of the staff provided great service. We did not make note of the names of everyone, but we did note, and would like to thank Selena in Catering, Tricia and Grace at the registration desk, Eric Stacy, and Diamond.
Photos speak for themselves. This is NOT a luxury hotel. Centrally located restaurant club keeps guests awake all night. No fridge or coffee maker in room. Had to request a mini fridge. They brought a scratched dented smelling of sour milk one! Non working appliances. Smh Don't waste your money!
