I am lucky enough to live one block from the most enchanting hotel and when I need pampering, and who doesn’t, I head here. Lovely rooms. Friendly staff. Historic bar. Delicious brunch and high tea. In season, the 19th hole across the street is a huge asset to our neighborhood and hotel. Enjoy mini golf and other games while treating yourself to a snack and beverage. Picnic tables are surrounded by lovely flowers and umbrellas for shade. Sometimes there is music or even a drag queen brunch. In the past special events have included a red carpet Oscar party and old movies which we can attend in costume while enjoying a cocktail and popcorn. I feel so lucky having this piece of heaven in my hood.
We had a wonderful stay at Hotel deLuxe. The staff was friendly, everything was clean, and our room was enjoyable. The location was excellent, a short walk to everywhere we wanted to go. We would definitely stay here again if we spend another night in Portland.
This hotel was perfect for our visit. About 10 min from Washington park and all the breakfast joints are not more than 6 min walk. I side is very clean and the lobby is always neatly organized. My son and I loved the inside hallway filled with antiques and black and white picture frames from the 50’s . The ambiance goes perfect with the mystic of the city. You wake up in the morning with either fog or snow and omg is so beautiful you can actually see the park in the background. Stunning bathroom with marble floors and lots of space! I will stay here again for sure!
We stay in Portland often and have been to hotels all over town. We had reservations at another hotel and when we arrived, they had lost out reservation. Sent us to the other hotel location they have in town, which was 50% under renovation. Left upset and it turned out to be the best thing that could have happened. I called Hotel DeLuxe and Scott answered. I explained what had happened and he told me they would be more than happy to accommodate us. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted, offered a bottle of wine and welcomed into the happy hour reception. The staff was friendly, the room was gorgeous and lobby was warm and inviting. Our stay here has been my favorite in Portland to date....the service is impeccable and the food is excellent. We did not know this place existed, but will now never book another hotel in Portland. Thank you to the entire staff for taking such good care of us and making us forget the start this trip was off to. You guys are the best and we can't WAIT to come back! Here are some pictures of breakfast at Gracies, which they knocked out of the park. The German pancake, the berry crepe with the best lemon curd I have ever had and the lobster benedict with the sweetest lobster meat and flawless hollandaise.…
Great hotel enjoyed my stay love the theme of each floor and room its about movie directors and the room looks like in the 60s movie . Restaurants are walking distance and there is a bar if you want cocktail and Gracies if u want breakfast i recommend their benedicts. The hotel lobby was amazing and cozy . Parking is just beside the hotel and i include my parking pay with the hotel just fir convenient . If you are find the small kiosl beside the machine to swipe ur ticket its not that one its a small box beside it. The staff so friendly!!! Esp mention to Sam love her aura . I will recommend this hotel if you want to visit portland 😊
The hotel was nice, the rooms were clean. The employees were very kind and helpful. Useful fitness center that is open 24 hours which is the best part cause I got in late and it wasn't until 11 I was able to use it. The bar/lounge is pretty chill and food was pretty good.
This is a sweet understated hotel with all the glam from the 40’s Bogie and McCall. The minute you walk in you feel the vibe of that era. Better yet…. Gracie’s in the am for breakfast is a must BUT The cozy Driftwood bar…. Shhhh this is one to keep to yourself!
Need a Staycation!! This is the spot!! My Grandparents used to stay there all the time when it was the Malory, this building is incredible and if it is not a Historical Landmark, it should be. The staff is eclectic, diverse and absolutely AMAZING!! Pet friendly (wish I still had my dog) RIP. The mixologists and team at The Driftwood are top shelf!! Super cool bar, great food, creative cocktails and an ambiance you just have to experience. I'm sure the food at Gracie's is amazing based on the fare served in the Driftwood, unfortunately we didn't make it to Gracie's....this time. We are definitely going to return.
It is a well maintained classic hotel. We had a larger King room and it was comfortable and stylish. Location of the hotel was pretty convenient, walking distance to much of central Portland and Pearl district. The area around the hotel was not too bad, although there were a few homeless people. Much better compared to the old town. The garage was expensive, so we parked on the street. That required paying through the app and moving the car throughout the day. We tried breakfast at the hotel once. It was pricey and not that great. The mid-century bar, on the other hand was really cool! The main annoyance was that our keycards kept demagnetizing almost every time we left the room. They really should figure out how to fix it. But the main issue that prevents me from fully recommending this hotel is the so-called "guest amenity fee" tacked to the room rate. There were no special "amenities" that would justify this fee. It was literally an attempt to cheat the people comparing prices. It is sad that this is allowed and that many hotels are doing it!…
Previously stayed here when it was the Mallory Hotel; have fond memories. But that was then. Our room size was incredibly small (see photos). There was no adequate storage space to put anything: one suitcase stayed open on the floor, there was a small desk area, a very small closet, and one small shelf in wc to store our toiletries. Yet with all taxes our room was $190 for one night. Terribly overpriced for what we received. Almost $200 for a forgetful experience. We Read on hotel website parking was complimentary- yet they tried to charge us $25 per night. Try hey didn’t. Either the website info is incorrect, incomplete or staff doesn’t know. There was also a $25 “resort fee” we were assessed. Not exactly sure what that was for, and never was explained. Maybe had our room been anything other than sub-standard we might have felt differently. Front desk staff was professional, but I wouldn’t say necessarily engaging or personable. We were just so disappointed with our room size and the cost of it that we regretted staying here. Next visit we will find another lodging.…
