Make your stay in Portland an experience. Plan to stay at Tiny Digs, a Hotel of Tiny Houses. We imagined, designed and built the Tiny Digs collection of themed houses, with a desire to showcase lots of options for tiny house design and have BIG fun with the decor. All of our tiny houses have a small deck, are furnished, air-conditioned, with a sitting area, kitchenettes with mini-fridge, queen bed and some have extra sleeping on pull-outs, shower and flush toilet. There's a central courtyard with seating areas, hammocks, firepit plus yard games. A great neighborhood with over 50 restaurants and brewpubs within a 10-minute walk of the hotel. Centrally located in the city near downtown, convention center, tourist sites, and the airport.
My family and I stayed at Tiny Digs, in a larger yellow home (Arthur). We felt the tiny home was well-appointed; the bathroom was larger than we expected, and the loft bed was comfortable. We arrived mid-day (between 4 and 5 p.m.), and found parking across the street, although that particular street filled up quickly by early evening. The primary downside to Tiny Digs is how close you are to the other homes, and how well noise travels; there were individuals engaged in some work on the neighboring tiny home, and I could hear their conversations pretty clearly with the small loft window open for ventilation (although, I will note, there was no noise after 10 p.m. or too early in the morning). Altogether, I found that Tiny Digs executed the tiny home concept well, and, notwithstanding this minor drawback, it was fun to try for a night.…

This tiny homes are such a unique idea. It was super fun to create a lasting memory. Same price as a Best Western; but who remembers those? This is a lot in downtown Portland that was converted into tiny home hotel rooms. Our room was clean and comfortable and nicely decorated and furnished. We stayed in the “modern” home. Clear plexiglass everywhere including into the shower and top of the bathroom. This is an intimate space for sure. The lot has chain linked fence with a keypad locked gate. The central community area had propane fire pits, corn hole, hammocks and potted plants. Of note- this is directly off of a VERY busy road. Also, the website references “abundant free roadside parking” since there is none on site. The side roads were very narrow and packed with cars on both sides. Not ideal if you aren’t able to drive a tiny car to match the tiny home theme. A unique and lovely place if this is the kind of stay you are seeking!…

I cannot speak more highly about Tiny Digs - if I could add a few more stars I would. From our arrival to our departure it was amazing. We had the Arthur (aka the train car) and it did not disappoint. It was well thought out, incredibly clean, and every detail was a delight - they even custom made the towel rack and toilet paper holder from railroad spikes. Staying in our own, themed tiny house was like being transported to a different world. And as an added bonus, our bed was super comfortable (my girlfriend still raves about the mattress). It was also in a great area - walking distance to great restaurants (try the German restaurant - so good), breweries, and an old movie theater that serves up current movies with great craft beer and wine. It is also not too far from downtown Portland and some of the other cool neighborhoods. And there is a rental car place about a block away if you want to rent a car and take an excursion (definitely recommend the falls and Edgefield - a McMenamin property). And the owners are great - good people that really care about you and your stay and are very passionate about the unique lodging they have created. I highly recommend Tiny Digs and any of its tiny houses.…

I can't say enough about my stay at Tiny Digs Hotel. Such a cool concept - tiny homes all with their own theme with a common area for games/campfires etc, right in the heart of an amazing part of Portland. Not only is the area fun (walk to breweries, coffee, etc) but it also felt super safe. Parking on the street was easy and convenient. Now for the house! I had the Cabin, and it felt like I should be stepping out into a forest when I walked out the door. Everything was so perfectly available - comfy bed (SERIOUSLY comfy), small but perfect bathroom, couch, little table - and stocked with all the amenities you could need. I had a chance to meet the owner and she was wonderful, and housekeeping was working hard and left nothing untouched! Such a fun stay, I wish I had been there longer. Can't wait to bring my kids and try out the train tiny house :)…

We stayed in The Cottage and it was adorable, perfectly spacious for two adults, and sparkling clean. Super comfy beds. Ample street parking, the neighborhood felt very safe for two female travelers, and the site was very quiet at night. Appreciated the gate around the property. Loads of restaurants with outdoor seating options just a couple of blocks away. We can't wait to come back and try another tiny house!

We would love staying in a Tiny Digs tiny house at any time, but it is especially perfect now during the ongoing COVID pandemic. No big hotel air system, no elevators, no public indoor spaces... In our tiny house we can open all our windows or use the heat/AC that is ONLY for our house, we have a kitchenette for easy meals, ample outdoor space for lounging or eating outdoors. We stayed in The Arthur and loved it. It really is small, and yet we found enough nooks for four people's suitcases and our groceries. Everything was impeccably clean and in great condition, inside and out. It's a short walk to tons of great restaurants and coffee shops with outdoor seating. (We particularly recommend Taco-ish and Ankey Tap, which have merged during COVID so you can order from either menu on one tab, and they had lots of clean and well-spaced outdoor seating.)…

We stayed here for a few nights in July and stayed in the Arthur and Beach houses. We are a family of 5 (adults took the beach cabin and three teenaged children slept in Arthur). It was soooo much fun. The beach cabin was better equipped (as far as the kitchen facilities were concerned) and I managed to cook soft tacos and hot dogs in the tiny kitchen during our stay. Eating outside by the fireplace at night was magical and we had many games of Giant Jenga and the bean bag toss game. We will remember our stay here fondly and thoroughly recommend this place.

I was traveling with 3 friends from Australia and wanted them to have a unique 'Portland experience'. Tiny Digs really fit the bill! What a fantastic place. There are 8 very different and unique Tiny Homes. I stayed in the Train caboose. The space itself was just perfect. What I really loved and appreciated about it were the small details. As we had reserved 4 of the 8 tiny homes, I was able to have a look inside all 4 of them. The attention to detail is fantastic. We all work in the Hospitality business, and we really appreciated the creative decor and thoughtful touches. All of us were absolutely blown away. There is a central area with an outdoor fire pit, which we only wish we could have used. Unfortunately, we had a very delayed flight, so we did not arrive until close to midnight. Then, we had to depart by 8a. We were all VERY upset that we could not stay longer. So, on my next visit to Portland, I will be returning to Tiny Digs. That I have no doubt. My new plan is to visit with my wife, and either stay for 8 nights, one night in each of the 8 tiny homes. Or, we will be visiting with 7 couples and 'take over' Tiny Digs for a few days. It would be a blast. Can't wait to return, very soon!…

This place is a 10 plus. You get to stay in your own Tiny House. We stayed in the yellow caboose. It was well done and had an amazing layout. The hosts were very helpful in suggesting things to do and see and it is a very short walk to good restaurants.
