My stay at Hampton Inn was solid as it could be! Because of the weather, our flight was canceled right when we arrived to the airport, and we were scrambling for a place to stay. I called ahead at about 11:30 p.m. to check availability to get five separate rooms for my coworkers and I, and the woman at the front desk was really communicative and attentive. She helped me book the rooms on the phone when the online website was giving us issues with booking for the night, and when we arrived, she was helpful and let us know about the free toiletries offered like toothbrushes.

Contrary to past reviews about the hotel not serving hot foods at breakfast, I was pleased to find out they actually did: cheesy omelettes, bacon, sausage, potatoes, cranberry cocktails, Yoplait yogurt, etc! They also had a waffle maker and a nice selection of juices, and breakfast was from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. which allowed us to sleep in a little.

After I checked out, the maintenance man approached me to say hello and ask me how I was doing, which was appreciated after a rough night of delayed and canceled flights and transportation. Overall, I would recommend staying here if you need a place to crash and don’t want to worry about breakfast the next day.

I take 3 - 4 trips per year to Portland from central Washington to visit my two children and my grandchildren. The Hampton Inn Portland East is in a central location and serves as a base for my stay each time I visit. I feel safe there, and I have had no problems with any of my vehicles being vandelized. The rooms are always very clean and inviting. The staff smile and every one of them recognizes me with a "Good Morning' or whatever applies. It is located near Sandy Blvd. where I can take about an hour-long walk early each morning before or after the free breakfast. I feel secure in leaving valuables in my room here, and I have not always felt that way with other motels in the area. I plan to stay here many more times when I return to Portland.

We stayed here on a Sunday night in February before heading to east on I-84.

We utilized the online check-in through the Hilton app. Upon arriving we grabbed a luggage cart and headed up to our room. We also noticed that Hilton now seems to be offering diamond members with both a bottle of water and a snack. It's an appreciated perk!

Our room was on the third floor and was roomy, clean and comfortable. We also felt the bed was especially comfortable too.

This location is very convenient for those traveling on I-84 and is also close enough to the airport to make that convenient as well.

This is a nice quiet location and we would recommend to others!

I checked in the day before via Hilton Honors app and selected my own room. Upon arrival, I was assigned to a different room right next to the elevator. When I inquired at the front desk, the person told me that I have not pre-selected any room. I have used the HH app to check-in and pre-select rooms MANY TIMES before. This is the second time where the hotel failed to honor my online checkins. I am not sure if it's an issue with the HH app or if someone at the hotel overrode my selection.

The inside is a standard Hampton Inn room. The most noticeable issue is the noise. We were constantly woken up by street noises and plane activities. When I was at lobby for breakfast, I also overheard another customer complaining about the noises and wanted to move to another hotel.

This particular hotel also has the worst breakfast out of any other Hampton Inn I have ever stayed at. While other hotels in Portland had already begun to serve hot breakfast, this one is still only serving grab and go items. There were very limited selections.

There are plenty of hotel choices in Portland. I would avoid this one.

Service and professionalism is lacking but it’s not obscene. From having to go to the front desk to get remote batteries to watching the hotel staff eating in the breakfast area while it’s still open... made it so we didn’t feel we could get in to even look at the food. So we left and ate somewhere else.

Thank you for taking the time to respond to our property's survey. We appreciate the feedback and sorry to hear that you were not happy with the service at our hotel. I completely understand your frustration with having to come to the desk. I should have said that it may be up to 20 minutes to bring them to you or you are welcome to come to the desk. We always try to bring things to the guest room but it is sometimes not an option when groups of people are checking in or on the phone.

I have never been to this property before and I was delighted with its proximity off the interstate. The hotel looks almost brand new and the staff (shout-out to Amy "the front desk agent") are clearly following all COVID 19 guidelines. Amy was literally an angel to my life and ensured that I was taken care of the whole time I was at the hotel. Thank you so much!

A few miles from the Portland Airport but far enough away that the plane noise is minimal. Rooms are a bit small but noise from neighbors is well limited. East side rooms face a major 5 lane road and traffic noise here is very prevalent. West side rooms were quiet. Staff was unaware of there own policies… we had our dog and The policy indicated that we needed to keep a door hanger on our door. But that door hanger kept housekeeping away even when we asked for service. Desk clerk was unaware of the contradiction.Room refrigerator froze our sodas and the desk clerk did not know how to turn the temperature up. So we just hold the thing out of the cabinet and found the temperature control. Turned it down to about 25% and the freezing continued! Beds were a bit soft, Cowles a bit rough. Breakfast was the usualHampton fare with an egg dish and either sausage or bacon each morning. all in all, a comfortable, clean, convenient, and friendly place to stay.

Room was great and super clean! Guest services needs to pay better attention when taking payment especially when the guests request different payment type for room total. I booked through booking.com and selected to pay at hotel and when I arrive. The receptionist said she needed my ID in order to charge my card to confirm and I said we were paying with my moms card. (We held the reservation with my card but overall planned to pay with my mom’s card.) She said she would need to make the reservation under my moms name which I said was ok. But she still charge my card? How do you charge my card without my ID? Do better.

We wanted a property close enough to get to lots of places but further away from the airport and a bunch of crowds. This place fit the bill. It is quiet but within walking distance of some "gourmet" coffee places if you want something different than what is offered at the hotel. The bed was super comfortable and the staff really friendly and welcoming. The breakfast offering was typical for a Hampton Inn, which is still better than the continental breakfasts at most budget-friendly hotels. Would stay here again.

We stayed here for one night on a road trip. It’s very handy - just off the interstate. It’s a fairly average Hampton Inn - free wifi, free breakfast, free parking. The rooms were good though there was a bit of noise thru the later part of the evening (from within the hotel not from the nearby roads or airport). Overall a decent stay.

Hello, I am so sorry this alert just came thru. From the airport a taxi will cost @ $30-35. I found two tours, Gray Line of Portland but they do not pick up at hotel and EcoTours of Oregon which does pick up at hotel. Hope this helps and please let me know if you need anything else.

Good morning. Unfortunately all of our ADA rooms only have one bed as well. We have 4 ADA rooms, 1 of them with a roll in shower and we do have bath seats. I am sorry if this is not welcome information. Thank you for your inquiry, Leslie Koch General Manager
