My son and I took a 3 week long vacation from Spokane to Grand Teton National Park. Traveled to five states, including Eastern Oregon. We stayed at IHG and Hilton properties all along the way, but landed in this quaint little place by accident. Admittedly we were not pleased to be staying at any place with Best Value in the name, but there were three options here, the first had no vacancies, the other place was not considered due to some bad feedback, so here we were. I was prepared to leave immediately if it was unclean or felt unsafe. I checked out the sheets with the light from my iPhone and they were clean, everything was clean. It’s a bit ‘retro’ but everything was in fine condition and squeaky clean. The room had fresh paint in some interesting and pleasant colors, the staff were pleasant, and with that beautiful little pink dogwood tree out front, the Sony dream machine with CD player, yes yes we would stay there again. Even the little peephole on the door and the plaque with our room number were interesting and fun touches to this throwback experience. Actually, this room is memorable when so many of the others were cookie cutters. We didn’t expect to get a grab n go breakfast, but it was pretty good with couple of mini muffins and an apple. These are strange days, with the virus having put us all on hold for over a year now. This motel was like comfort food.

The place is clean, customer service is weak, door key system took multiple attempts to unlock and had to have cards rekeyed to make work. It is close enough to walk to several fast food places nearby. Breakfast is limited and fruit was poor. Wouldn’t allow earning points unless reservation was made through internet

Two stories; no elevator. We had to drag all of our bags to the second floor. Only one bath towel. Called front desk and was told I would have to come get it myself. Hairdryer imploded and caught fire.
This hotel needs to be renovated. It was like something from the 70's. But it was clean; and that's good!

This is the second America's Best Value Inns I have been impressed with (other one is in Rehoboth DE). So not sure if it's the chain or local management but for us this modest newer hotel was quite nice so not sure about the dismal reviews. Indoor pool was large and swimmable, a plus for me although it wasn't heated too much and required real swimming! Jacuzzi to warm up in afterwards. The fitness room was small but I got a nice workout on stationary bike, full rack of nice weights and the right toys (bench, firm Swiss ball & very firm bosu, set of cables for pull downs). Room was spacious, good bed, desk &chair, good Wifi. We had a morning Zoom meeting and asked for another office chair which clerk immediately got for us. Breakfast included egg&sausage sandwiches and breakfast burros. Some large people somehwat "cleaned out" the good stuff, my husband reported before I got there, but the staff replenished everything pretty quickly and it was a reasonable breakfast. Not much fruit I guess. I told the clerk I had read pronouncements about customer services at other places we stayed but that they just did it. She said that made her day and she was going to share this with the manager. They had a sign about being short staffed and we noticed maids were still cleaning rooms at our arrival but room seemed in good shape. Only thing that did not work was an old radio clock we did not use. Bathtub with very hot water (one of my requrirements) and the usual in room coffee, microwave, fridge rounded out a nice stay.

I stayed here while doing a road trip around Eastern Oregon. The room I had was pretty bag. The bed was saggy and there were several dark hairs on the top sheet. There were no blankets on the bed, basically it was 3 sheets. There was no extra blanket or pillows in the room either. The paint was peeling in the bathroom and the TV remote stopped working after about 15 minutes. (not a battery issue) My sister's room smelled like urine...REALLY badly. We were both VERY happy to get out of that place and would never stay there again or recommend it to anyone!

We were stuck here for 4 days because it is the ONLY pet friendly place in town. It is in dire need of an upgrade. Furniture is damaged, old, stained, dirty. The rooms are not very clean with dirty sheets, and the floor was disgusting. It seemed the floor (vinyl plank) had not been washed in years. Our feet were black after 5 min of walking on the floor. They did wash it on day 3 with minimal improvement. At least is was very expensive :(

Price was high and the place was pretty funky and not real clean. I chose to head to Pendleton and got a much better deal, in a cleaner and quieter location for 40% less money. There are no other pet friendly options in LaGrande.....

Started out as a nice stay. But ended with me getting bed bugs bites. I attempted to make contact with them via email and ask for a refund. No response so now I am leaving a review. I also contacted the OR department of health as well, no response. I did also offer some pics of the bites for their review.
