Detailed Reviews
Delightful two night stay. Check-in/out, keypad on door, codes and entry instructions via email. Parking right outside, felt safe, room was clean. Charming hotel, well maintained - rooms on the second floor (stairs), had to go through the small restaurant on first floor to get to the stairs (smack dab in the middle) to enter. Wasn't a problem though, small staff was very friendly. reminded me of a quaint old western hotel with rooms up, dining first floor. located in old downtown, very quiet, pleasant for early morning wake up walk. The smell of breakfast cooking was enticing. highly recommend restaurant - probably best meals we had during three week tour of the PNW. Changed plans so we could come back a second night. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

We loved our overnight stay. Tge historic building is intact and well kept. The room AC unit was very welcomed as it was in the high 90's. We were here Monday night Sadly, they only cook breakfast Weds-Sun at 7:30 so we went on to Baker City.

Truly wonderful 3-night stay! Super comfortable spacious rooms, lobby and outside decks all lovingly restored by enthusiastic owners. Top quality services and tasteful furnishings with great dining right downstairs. Very quiet but in the middle of everything and a perfect base for biking tours of the surrounding area. And don’t miss the new drive thru across the street for awesome coffee and ice creams - The Local.

I booked this hotel on a weeknight in early November for a business trip because a search engine indicated it was close to John Day/Canyon City. As soon as I realized it was 2 hours away, I contacted the hotel to cancel the booking. Because it was less than 72 hours before check-in, the hotel charged me the full amount. Their policy said that cancellations before the day of check in but less than 72 hours prior "may" be charged the full rate plus taxes. Despite my courteous contact with them, they elected to charge me the full amount (even though the room would likely have been empty that night anyway due to it being the off season). If I treated my customers this way I would no longer be in business, and I won't recommend patronizing a business that makes this choice.

I had hoped to stop for a night at this hotel. I called three times and always left messages and my name and number. Never got even a return call. Rude
My calls were made several days in advance and their records showed an available room. I had tried earlier this year to stay at this hotel, that time I was atleast able to speak with someone, but did not choose to stay.

I was traveling by myself and stopped here for a night, it was perfect! The self check in was simple and the room was super cute. Everything was very clean and organized. Bed was comfy and warm. It is an old building so the floors creak (I was on the bottom floor and could hear my upstairs neighbors walking around) and the walls are thin, but I didn’t have any issues. It is located downtown but it was still quiet and I felt safe. In the morning, the staff were super friendly and offered me coffee as I was leaving.
I looked at all the hotels in the area and for the price, cleanliness, and safety, I definitely feel like I got the best deal in town. Sadly, due to covid and my late arrival/early departure I didn’t try any of the food.
I would definitely recommend this place to anyone staying for just one night or a few. 😊

We stayed for 3 nights and couldn’t have asked for a better room and service. The room was a double room with a king bed in one room and queen in the other. My only concern was the bathroom door was glass and didn’t offer as much privacy as I would have liked. The room was very clean and comfortable. I will definitely stay again next time I’m in La Grande.

We’ve been looking forward to the dining room being open to plan our stay- and boy are we glad we did! The chef surpassed our expectations and then some. Our waitress, Jacque, was so great, we wanted her to sit & join us. (She couldn’t as she was solo in serving everyone.) Everything about the Landing is top notch- the room, bed, the linens, staff... the owners. What a huge blessing to find such a gem in Eastern Oregon!

We had a nice experience here. The restaurant was closed because we were staying over on a Monday evening. But a friendly staff woman served us complementary wine and had a fun conversation with us when we arrived. She directed us to a good brew pub a few blocks away for dinner (Side A Brewing). The hotel has a cute style with a nice common area downstairs and a common balcony upstairs. It's on a four-lane road, and there's an active train track a block away, but our room was pretty quiet. The one issue was that there was no coffee ready when we got up, so we got some at a cafe across the street. It would be better if the hotel had coffee available for early risers. A little later in the morning they did set out coffee and scones.

We got the last available room, which was the 2 bedroom on the second floor. Very large room(s), comfy bed, nice shower, big fluffy towels and amenities. Convenient location to the highway. We ate dinner and breakfast here also. Food was delicious, staff friendly, albeit very laid back service. They did a top job with social distancing, masks etc. A terrific addition to La Grande.

Sorry, I don't travel with a pet. Perhaps you could ask the hotel directly.
