Really appreciated the high cleanliness standards in this hotel; covid precautions were outstanding. At these rates, however, I would not expect to hear as much noise as we did from the room upstairs; so many clunks and heavy foot sounds. Also, we did not receive a hot breakfast one morning due to a staffing shortage.

Spent 1 night here as Lifetime Diamond member using 40K points. We stayed on September 12 - during Oregon's horrible wildfires.
We were allocated Room 311 which is just a regular room and not an upgrade.
This hotel is 4 years old and the room still feels pretty new. Everything is well maintained. There is a mini fridge in the room but no microwave. Shower was great with plenty of water pressure and hot water.
Because of COVID, breakfast is not self service. Someone grabs the food for you. There are hot items like omelet and sausage. There are cold items like cereal, energy bar and hard boiled eggs. Coffee is also provided for you and not self service.
This hotel seems to have pretty good COVID procedures. I did not see any of the staff without a mask. I did see some guests without a mask.
We ordered take out from Solstice Pizza. You can order and pay online and it is a quick 5 minute drive to the restaurant.
We had planned to do a few things in the Hood River area but because of the wildfires, roads were closed and visibility was poor. The room actually has pretty good insulation because we could not smell smoke in our room, unlike our hotel in Bend where we could smell smoke.
If you are visiting Hood River, I would recommend a stay at the Hampton Inn.

We were very taken aback at Hilton’s post Covid policy where the room is not cleaned, unless you specifically request it. This was an expensive weekend so to find that a room wasn’t cleaned, or fresh towels provided just seems a cheap money saving policy. While, I haven’t stayed in too many hotels in the last couple of years I have stayed in other chains that still clean rooms as part of the normal service, so this seems to be a Hilton specific policy. The only way we found about this was when we were directed to the note on the desk that we didn't see when we arrived. I do think the Hilton should be making it clearer about this policy when guests check in but of course they don’t want to do that because then that probably would cost the hotel more money. This definitely impacted our overall experience in what should’ve been a beautiful location and a lovely weekend. I would also note that the extra we paid for the river view was really a waste of money because they were huge trees in the way so we were really unable to see much of the water which we had also paid extra for.

The location is between the interstate and the Columbia River. The only restaurant in walking distance is a sushi restaurant. There is a lot of road noise. Ear plug were on the night stand. The grounds consist of the parking lot. The lobby is large and clean. The hallways give it a new look. We had a King Suite. The room was large and well appointed. There was one TV on a swivel; viewable for bedroom or living room. The view was of roof equipment. The breakfast was grab and go, but had a hot option. It was served by a person behind a table. Good. The fitness center had almost all the equipment needed: three treadmills, an elliptical, a recumbent bike, free weights and a universal machine. The water dispenser did not work. There was only one rubber mat. The business center was in an enclosed space; good privacy. The staff was friendly but not well informed of the surrounding area. The price at $250 was high compared to comparable properties.

Room was extremely noisy because it was next to a freeway. Breakfast items were not refreshed when empty. Employees were nice…perhaps not enough of them? We payed a premium price for a room that was nice but extremely noisy and a view of the freeway

If you don’t already know, they have the fluffiest pillows and most comfortable beds. We stayed in a room with a spectacular riverside view of the Columbia River and the mountain landscape of Washington state.
The room was clean and spacious, with a desk, small fridge, coffee maker, and pullout shelves and drawers in the dresser. More than enough outlets for all your chargers and a barn door/full mirror on the closet and bathroom.
The bathroom has plenty of counter space and floating shelves for towels (and your makeup and/or shaving bag), and has a full glass shower door with full-size shampoo, conditioner, and body wash along with a “shaving shelf” for convenience for those of us who shave our legs.
Definitely would recommend staying here - a perfect end to a day full of hiking, mountain biking, windsurfing, kiteboarding, wind foiling, golfing, or white water rafting.

It is in best location in front of Columbia and Hood River intersection. We got a room with river view and could not stop looking at Columbia river from our window. You could see people wind surfing, walking their dogs, or just walking along the riverside.
Breakfast was good with waffles, omlets and host of other stuff a typical continental breakfast has.. There is no made to order thing, u just pick what they have put in the breakfast room
Sleep quality is bad. We asked for a top floor room but they did not have it. First night was ok, as there was nobody above our room. Second night, o boy.. Some werid people moved in and they were walking constantly, rought handling their skiis or luggage until 1AM in the night. We complained to the front desk, but they did not do anything. If you cannot get a room on the top floor or if some whackos move in above your room, say good bye to your sleep.
Front desk staff are nice, the propery is nice in a very good location.

Stayed here while I was in Hood River for a wedding. Angel and Terri at the front desk were helpful and friendly. The hotel looks to be newer. The lobby and breakfast area look out to the Hood River which is beautiful. Our room (2 queens) was quite and clean. The door to the bathroom is a sliding door that is also the door to the closet area - kind of neat. Beds comfy and we liked having a small fridge. The free breakfast was plentiful. There is a small indoor pool and outside area where you can sit and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

Check in was quick and efficient. Staff was friendly but did not recognize us as diamond honors members. BUT when we got to the room there was a note and two bottles of water. A nice touch.
The pool was shared with the community swim lessons when we went to go swimming. We felt a bit out of place trying to swim laps while very little kids were getting swim lessons.
The TV remote would only turn the tv on. They sent someone from house keeping up with a new remote. That remote would not even turn the tv on. The young man from house keeping said I will let them know they need to send someone from maintenance up. At 9:45 we called the front desk and told them to forget about the TV because we were going to bed!
When we checked out they refunded us 85% of the cost of the room. But then they charged my credit card when I had already paid with awards points!
So a mixed bag here, hence the average rating.

We stayed last year in September. Breakfast was included. However, because of COVID, we were served. There are hot items like omelet and sausage. There are cold items like cereal, energy bar and hard boiled eggs. Coffee is also provided for you and not self service.
If you go to the hotel's website you will see that they do have Queen x2 Bed Suites with river views but you'll have to confirm their availability for the dates you have in mind. I'm assuming they weren't showing up for your search??? Be aware that first floor 'river view' suites don't actually have much of a river view so ask for a higher floor.
Yes. We are a brand new hotel and there is air conditioning throughout.
