We stay at MANY Marriott Courtyard hotels, in fact my husband is a Platinum Elite member and we used our points for this stay. This particular hotel is not delivering the quality service Marriott is known for. Upon arrival we were given a room facing the freeway, when the hotel is barely even occupied! Our bathroom floor was sticky and dirty, sliding Glassdoor had dirty child handprints, pretzel crumbs all over the chair. It’s very obvious that by not cleaning rooms daily due to COVID, the staff is not even cleaning properly when rooms are vacant. We were also told no coffee or food being served...yet other Courtyards are providing this service. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

JulieJ774, Thank you so much for taking the time to provide such detailed feedback. In this crazy time we are all in, I want to be very upfront that the health and safety of our guests and employees are of the upmost importance! I sincerelly apologize for the service you received while staying with us. This is, like you mentioned, not the service that the Courtyard by Marriott brand and even more so, our location is so very well known for. I have shared this information with the rest of my team and will use this as a training and teaching moment to make sure this is an isolated incident and prevent it from happening again in the future. Again, thank you for staying with us and we hope that you and your loved ones are safe during this time. Please let me know if there is anything additional I can do for you now and in the future. Always in hospitality, Joe Saunders General Manager

We stayed here in May for a week and had a great time. After an early snaffu of having to change rooms b/c of wifi issues, the manager Cody made sure we got a great room with an expanded office area. It was absolutely ideal for our week filled with online meetings and virtual events.

Even with pandemic restrictions, staff shortages and working several full days back to back, Cody was always smiling, wonderfully helpful and accommodating. The inner courtyard is also suprisingly lovely and I enjoyed the greenery from the window and when walking to the laundry...lol

This location is also nice because it is near lots of dining/shopping by walking or a short drive. We liked happy hour at Wassabi, loved the square pizza at Old Chicago and enjoyed Tang Dynasty. OH and Blue Moon Diner for a great breakfast!

It was just fine except they shut down breakfast early. We got down there and the lights were off and everything was put away. We went to the front desk and they said they had just closed. We had a coupon for a free breakfast and you could see muffins on the counter and they did not offer those since they closed early. It felt like the Bistro employees were trying to cut corners.

This property is branded Marriott but is owned by an independent LLC. While the furniture looks like Marriott the experience is nowhere close to it.

I had a 4 night stay. The first night I was awoken from a deep sleep at midnight by the fire alarm, which was going off only in my room. I called the front desk they assured me there was no fire; they would “reset the alarm.” Through my entire stay wifi did not work in my room at all. All devices I tried would connect and and disconnect roughly every 3 minutes; wifi worked in the lobby. My room keys would not work more than once; I would be locked out of my room multiple times a day. The property lists having a restaurant; it’s a pop-up Starbucks with fewer food choices than Starbucks. The “free breakfast” is a choice of: ONE hot item (breakfast sandwich or a toasted bagel) OR two cold items (2 muffins), plus either: one coffee, or one juice or one pepsi product drink. That’s it.

The property lists a “restaurant on site” called the Bistro. This is the same pop-up Starbucks from breakfast. However it was not open for dinner during my entire stay. It serves a burger, or a sandwich if/when it is open.

Finally, the property is pet friendly. I confirm this is true, I had a barking dog in the room next door.

Watch Out! Hidden charge for parking (in their parking lot, with no valet, poor lighting, and no security) appeared up on my credit card after departing. The charge was never mentioned when making a reservation or when checking in.
Room was comfy and spacious. The hotel is right by the highway and you can hear highway traffic all night so you need to run or bring a fan. Also show at the buffet at least 1 hour before it is over. We showed up at the buffet 30 minutes before it is over (8:30 AM) and they were out of fruit, orange juice, cups, and other items. A guest and I asked the hostess but nothing was ever re-stocked and the hostess appeared overloaded.

I cannot believe this is a Marriott hotel!
First let me start off by saying that we were greeted very well at check in. The staff was very friendly and helpful. But once we got to the room I was absolutely disgusted.
I am not normally a really picky girl when it comes to hotel rooms. We were only there to sleep and then back to our travels the next day but the room was disgusting. This hotel was the most expensive out of the 3 that we booked on our trip and by FAR the filthiest(and this includes a stay at Motel 6)! The shower doors were very dirty with soap scum. The bathroom shower had big black LONG hair in two different spots on the floor. The hair continued in the corner of the bathroom tiles. These weren't like little hairs that maybe got missed by a broom and a mop, these were very long hairs. There was hair in the sink of the bathroom and there was a BIG patch of mold in the upper corner of the ceiling. All of these problems were in the bathroom. One of the places that should be the cleanest.
Also, they tell you that breakfast is from 7-10, but be prepared to order and pay. It is not complimentary. They do have complimentary coffee, but no creamer. If you are a coffee drinker, hope you like half and half because that is all they have. There was a lady at the desk when we were checking out trying to get a room and it was mostly full and I ALMOST told her not to bother, stay somewhere else. I have been told my locals that the Holiday Inn Express is very clean!

The place is old and they don’t clean the room well. There’s a bar of use soap in the bathtub corner dish. The shower knob is the wrong fit. You can see the remodeled it the cheap way. Added a sheet of plastic and caulked between the tub and plastic.
The wall are extremely thin because I can next door and people walking. The WiFi keep dropping off. This place need a remodel to keep up with competition.
I am a lifetime titanium member of Bonvoy. I’ve stayed over 1200 nights with them. They don’t offer complimentary breakfast or snacks. Down the street Hilton Embassy suites offer full breakfast cook to order. I’m not staying here anymore. I’m also diamond level with Hilton.

The best part about this hotel was leaving. While the staff did their best to make up for it, it is clear that this hotel’s management has only one thing on its mind: profit. Understaffed, 10 to park in a suburban hotel? No complimentary coffee. The cafe was out of everything. Maybe they should have spent less on the totally over built over decorated lobby and more on the guest experience. Let’s not even get started on the shower design that sprays you in the face in order to turn it on. Major fail. Glad I got a “free” night with points but I will never stay here again. The hotel’s staff deserve huge kudos and a raise for having to field frustrated customer complaints.

Arrived on Saturday to find that the garbage at the stairwell leading up to our room had not been picked up for several days (in summer heat) and reeked. The garbage was located directly below the window of our second story room. Reported the problem to staff (one person, working alone, without security) and was told she could not help because she was disabled. She said the garbage would be picked up Monday morning. She later said she could take care of herself if someone tried to come at her alone at the check in counter. Naivete and "disability" aside, the clerk misrepresented the pickup (probably to get rid of me). Monday night and the garbage has grown and has not been picked up. Street side is extremely noisy. Rooms are dated and ratty. Breakfast is marginal. My worse experience with Marriott. Reflects badly on the Marriott brand. If this was my first experience with them, I would never stay at another Marriott. Caters to long term stay people and treats gold elite people as unimportant to the bottom line. Avoid this place.

The room is supposed be ready for checkin at 3:00 pm. We arrived at 5:00 pm, and was told it would be ready in an hour, and there were 4 parties ahead of us. We got another friend arrived at 3:30 pm, and the room was not ready for them at 5:00 pm. Finally we got the room at 7:00 pm. The phone and microwave in the room didn't work. The hotel seems lack of maintenance. One roof was covered by leaves. Another roof has mosses.
