Ok - the good. The rooms are recently re-done and very spacious. Bathrooms are very tiny, but adequate. Beds are above average and you can't beat the rate when only paying $59 per night.

However - the staff needs a lesson in hospitality. We arrived at Noon, realizing that we may not be able to check into a room until later. Upon walking in the door I was greeted with "We don't do check-ins until 3:00 pm" - after pushing a little bit, they did have rooms clean and ready, which they gave us. While checking in I was astonished at all the little notes and "rules" posted. For example: "If you use your room towel at the pool, you will be charged $20 per towel." In the breakfast area - "If you need something, ask - don't assist yourself as you may make a mess."

We had reserved 5 rooms, but cancelled 2 rooms 3-weeks prior as some family members were not making the trip. When we arrived they had us down for 8 rooms - no big deal, until they checked my parents out of their room a day early and gave it to someone else who walked in on them.

Staff had a real attittude of they would prefer to run a hotel without any guests to mess things up. They keep up on this path and their wishes will come true.

If you choose a $59 a night hotel and are a minimalist you will like this hotel. We prefer to spend our money on other things trip related vs. sleeping and showering. No fridge, no clock but we didn't care. Close to everything for driving and a fantastic restaurant called Nicholas in town. Clean room and bed was average. Starbucks across street and Mt. Hood down the road. Ave booked another weekend in August. Can't beat location.

The towels are visibly dirty in the bathroom -the pool is closed due to maintenance at 630 even though nobody is working on it- there was mold in the tub- service was alright - there were religious affiliations in the room - overall I wouldn't stay here again unless I absolutely needed to

The room and linens were all clean. They've replaced carpeting with laminate flooring, and the bed is triple sheeted so no bedspread. The bed was extremely comfortable there was a refrigerator and microwave, which I always appreciate, and a table and chairs. The room smelled fine which is sometimes an issue and it was very quiet at night. I got exactly what I needed at a decent price so I'm happy. I absolutely would stay there again.

Friendly staff, good value. Older facility but clean and well maintained. Easy access from main road with plenty of convenient parking. Review must have minimum of 200, characters so here you go to fill space. Trying to review without wasting my time writing a book.

The only thing I can good about this place is the hall floor was clean. Are room floor had food spills on the carpet . There was pop bottle tops on the floor. A razor in the bath tub . The wall paper was coming down in mutipal areas. If it wasn't 12:30 at night I would of got a refund and found some where else to stay. Breakfast was a joke too gallon of milk for the dry corn flakes . There was apple juice and orange. 2 donuts left in the box and 3 walffe batter out at 8:30 am. I NEVER leave bad reviews but this place took the cake.

The hotel was rated a 2-diamond by AAA. We often stay in hotels with the same rating and find them quite comfortable, but this Hampton Inn absolutely did not meet the same standards!! This hotel should be taken out of AAA tour books altogether!!

We arrived in the evening, and the parking lot and corridors were dark and shady. We couldn't quite pinpoint it, but we saw several interactions that made us feel somewhat unsafe for our family. We had reserved 2 adjoining rooms for ourselves and our young children. When we entered the rooms, they felt old and DIRTY...and the shower curtain in one of our rooms had black mold growing on the bottom 1/3 of it. The tub needed a good scrubbing. During the continental breakfast the following morning, several special-needs individuals came in to get breakfast. We spoke and helped one of the gentlemen prepare a waffle. This was fine, except they seemed as if they were not cared for...they were alone. We wondered if maybe they stayed at the hotel long-term?? An older gentleman wandered in to get breakfast and had a seizure at the table next to us. We recognized it, took some measures to keep him from injuring himself, and asked the hotel personnel to call 911. I knelt with the man on the floor until help could arrive. The hotel attendant spoke broken English, so I guess that's why he called 911 and immediately handed the phone to MY HUSBAND to talk. The hotel attendant obviously had no idea how to respond in an emergency situation!! We live across the country so we didn't immediately know the exact address to the hotel!! There was no business card at the front desk, so my husband went outside to find an address to direct the ambulance to help the man. Apparently, the man had a seizure the day before and was also taken to the hospital then. He was still wearing the paper scrub pants WITH NOTHING ELSE UNDERNEATH. The hotel attendant acted as if he simply didn't know what to do or how to act, so he went back to the front desk. Once the ambulance arrived and the man was stable, we went back to our room, packed, and checked out within approximately 10 minutes. The hotel attendant did not mention the incident to us, except a generic "thank you very much."

I realize that not every Hampton Inn is like this one. However, after this overall experience, if I have other options for our young family, I will choose them over a Hampton Inn every time.

No towels, phone didn't work, bathtub not cleaned, someone else's underwear in the corner and locked out of our room for one hour. Remedy? $4 off our rate for the night and a $30 voucher for a future stay from HOJO HQ. There is nothing that would make me stay at a Howard Johnson ever again. It's a month later and I am still trying to get a satisfactory answer from someone. If you want good customer service, go to another hotel.

The only reason I stayed at this hotel was because it was very close to the last stop on the MAX line. It was about $55.00 for the one night I stayed there. I had gone down to a festival and arrived at about 11pm. I had to wait for 15-20 minutes before they could check me in because they were doing some filing, or something, they were not really clear about what the hold up was. The room I was in had a giant dark red stain in the middle of floor, the smoke detector was missing, the toilet wouldn't flush, every channel on the television was blurry and their "contenintal breakfast" was pieces of bread, a bagle and dry cereal. So, like I said, you get what you pay for. The one up shot was that the bed was very, very comfortable. I would recommend this hotel for an overnight trip, or if you're simply passing through and need a cheap place to sleep for a few hours. I would not recommend it for a longer stay or if you're really picky about cleanliness.
