This hotel has gone downhill!!! It used to be , one of the nicest in Eugene.They just don't care anymore.Its dated, it's dirty, the employees even look ragged.There used to be nice, efficient, well dressed people, like the nice gentleman at the front desk, I think his name was Hans. now they all look like they work at fast food. I used to stay here all the time, will look for nicer place, they are so overpriced.
We really enjoyed our stay here. Laura B at the check-in desk was very helpful and she made us feel like valued customers. The room was large and had comfortable furnishings in addition to a patio over looking the river. We were tired from traveling and didn't want to go to the restaurant, there were easy instructions in the room to order takeout and they called us when the order was ready! Everything seemed so well organized. We enjoyed eating our delicious meal on our patio. This was our first stay here but won't be the last.
My husband and I choose to stay in this hotel prior to leaving for the airport the next morning because they had an airport shuttle. We left our car for $50 to stay parked in their parking lot (obviously convenient). However, on vacation, they charged my card for $100 without telling me and when I called to ask why, she said there was an extra $50 ‘accidentals’ charge but it would be removed when we picked up the car. Umm okay, no one explained that to us but okay, I can get over it. Then, before we left the lobby, the women up front said in order to get a ride back to the hotel from the airport, we would have to have ‘bag in hands’ and give them a call to let them know we were ready for pick up and ready to go. I agreed, thanked her, and we left. We got back into Eugene last night after a 10hr plane ride & I waited until having my ‘bags in hand’ to give them a call. Once I did, the women on the phone said I would have to wait an HOUR AND 20 minutes for the next shuttle to come through to pick us up. I was obviously upset and needed to get home so I said no and hung up. After I paid an extra $30 for a cab back to my car, I called the hotel and asked to speak with the manager. She explained to me that there was nothing she could do & she’s sorry ‘no one explained the policy to me’. The women didn’t offer a refund for the inconvenience, she didn’t care I had to pay for a cab, and she told me there was nothing to be done. Extremely disappointing!! The only reason we stayed in the hotel was for the shuttle and we did not get that. Instead, we had to pay more and more money for this hotel. Will never be back to this hotel because of how everything was taken care of & how unprofessional it truly was.…
This hotel has history, really great location. Staff were great. Food in their restaurant was great and the staff awesome. Very pet friendly. Pool and hot tub worked. You can get bikes go on riverwalk. Walking distance from mall
Nice, clean, friendly hotel. I really like the rooms over the river. You can take a nice long walk after a day of driving. I stay at this hotel several times a year as I travel between Washington state and California. The restaurant is also nice and serves good food. I believe they have a guard in the parking lot so your car is safe. It’s next to a shopping mall, although I’ve never been there.
