Great campground with nearby attractions or lots of hiking within the park. Has the best nightly talks (not now because of Covid). Can be hard to get a spot for several nights unless reserved months in advance. It's mostly 'levelish,' for easy walking. We have a mini motorhome and no tow car so stay put. Walked all the trails: beach, plus the maze of hidden trails behind picnic area, dock, tsunami trail, Bullard Family Cemetery, and Pearl's trail (sand dune, not a favorite). Ran into NO ONE on these walks-- where is everybody? No mask needed! Dark side of campground that may end our visits... a matted weed that has spread to most areas. Prostrate vervain, aka verbena bracteata-- like a mini goatshead. It starts almost soft, but dries to segmented vicious stickers. We had to stop and pick them out of dog's paws several times. Sticks onto bottom of shoes, which spreads it. It's native so I don't see any chance to eradicate. Because our dog is a large part of our visit, we will probably stop going, or try earlier in year.…
We booked a reservation for Friday & Saturday night. Easy to get our 30 ft trailer into & enough room for the 2 slide outs. Campground is clean including the restrooms & showers. Showers were not hot when we stayed there & the water kept shutting off. Make sure to have a flashlight to walk to the restrooms/shower. Nice area for walking & biking. The hosts are friendly & helpful.
We stayed here for 2 nights and I must say this were the cleanest bathrooms I experienced during our camping trip. You can easily bike down the road leading up to the light house and beach as well. Bandon is just a 6 minute drive
We stayed for two nights and would happily have spent longer. Good quality hookups, free showers, clean restrooms etc. There is a nightly ranger talk 6 evenings out of 7 in the ampetheatre which was very informative. Also ranger activities for children. Nice trails to the beach, river and lighthouse. It was a little dusty due to the dry weather, but that is to be expected. The campground feels very secure as it is obvious which wardens are on duty everyday, so there is always someone available if you have any problems. I wish we had parks like this in England!
The Camp ground at Bullard’s Beach is just like all the campgrounds on the Oregon Coast. Clean, friendly and lots of fun trails. This one adds a great lighthouse and clean ocean shore that is readily accessible.
