First time staying here and we liked it. It isn't a hotel with a lot frills but the pool, beach and location make up for that. The rooms are very simple. They have platform beds, we were supposed to have 2 queens and they were the smallest queen size beds I've ever seen. They were as comfortable as can be expected for a platform bed. The air worked great, the room was clean and it was sufficient for our one night stay. The pool bar was fun and the bartender was excellent. The prices for drinks and food were pretty good. Drinks were $5-6 and our food bill was around $30 for the two of us. They had live music in the evening and I heard the pool was open until 11pm. We went across the street to the beach and had a drink at the beach bar. The beach is nice. Several chairs and not too rocky. The location was excellent, as it was right across the street from the lake and a 5-10 minute walk to town. We walked down there after dinner and checke out a couple local bars.

Exquisite hotel far from hustle and bustle. We spent a night there as we were in town for an event. Property is gorgeous and well maintained. An oasis really. Staff is friendly and attentive. The pool was fabulous out of a Slim Aarons photo shoot. Did not get to try food as we ate out for most meals. My son enjoyed the gym. Room was small but bathroom brand new with lots of light.

We stayed at Commodore Perry during a family reunion, along with other family members. While there we also ate dinner at Doc’s Boathouse which has the same ownership. My 89 year old mother inadvertently left her medication under her pillow. When calling to ask if they had found the medication, they indicated it was found. HOWEVER, the Manager wanted to CHARGE $20, PLUS POSTAGE to mail the medication to her. This is incredibly poor customer service and takes advantage of an elderly lady on a limited income. We are so disappointed and disgusted.

I travel often and have stayed in a lot of places that are not worth the price. I was shocked at how clean my room was. Looks like they are doing some remodeling. Location is great. Room has microwave and mini fridge! I only have 2 suggestions. Please hang curtains, the blinds don’t block light. The second is please get the curved shower rod. It will prevent the curtain from touching you. I would stay here again if we come back.

The band in the hotel bar played late into the night. Vibrating every room with the base pounding. There wasn't a way to contact the front desk . There are no desks in the room, nor hard chairs. Room was 60 degrees when we arrived. Hall noise was loud. Noisy drunk groups all night kept us awake. No breakfast.

We arrived at check in. Did not have my reservation. They did have a room to put us in but it was more than the reserved price. The room had not been cleaned with a bug in the jacuzzi and streaks in the toilet. She did changed our room but noticed new room was not much better. Husband was tired and would not let me change hotels as we were going to dinner and only sleeping there for the night. This hotel is not good for sleep either. They are under renovations and halls and above us were very loud. View was the alley or the parking lot. Pictures do not reflect true dirt. Carpet is sections and they ran out apparently so left a gap right in the middle of the room.

I’ve stayed at the Put In Bay Commodore and surprisingly it’s nicer. This hotel was so rundown! I know that the owner has to have some sort of funds to make this a better hotel. There was a roof from some shed or something in the parking lot. The beds are hard as a rock And squeak. The place felt minimally cleaned, and so so outdated. The toilet was clogged from the last guest and we plunged it ourselves. Disgusting. The carpet, shower, beds, bathroom, everything old and outdated. I am not a picky person when it comes to hotels but just not impressed with this one at all. They had the main entrance closed. Not sure if that was due to covid or what. Please update and we will be back. The location is actually really good.

The Family and I were on a two day fishing charter. My brother booked the hotel at the commodore Perry in in Port Clinton Ohio. I was very disappointed and left after the first night for another hotel. Hotel was run down and outdated. The carpeting in the common areas has lots of ground in dirt and staining. I know this can’t be helped, but there is a general stench in the air outside of the hotel because it is on the water, and the seagulls are maddening. There are so many seagulls, they crap all over the cars and the buildings, and they are very loud. (I understand this is Mother Nature to blame, but I just thought I’d mention it. ) we were awoken in the middle of the night with a lot of noise from the parking lot of a large group of motorcyclists revving their engines and in general being very loud. The mattresses were quite uncomfortable as well. I had a terrible nights sleep and got out of there after one night.

We have stayed here before since we like the location and is pet friendly. Rooms are clean , they need a breakfast for the morning. I was told they have one on weekends? It is an older place but clean and rooms are large and quiet.

Stayed at this hotel twice in February and really enjoyed both stays. Hotel staff is very attentive to your needs. It also a big bonus having a full service bar & grill on property. The servers in Mr Ed's are top notch. Especially Sarah!
