We stayed one night and the room was as we expected but difficult to regulate the temperature. We had ordered a twin room but received a room with a double bed and a small single bed, which was less comfortable.

Hotel's Favourite
One night stay but five star experience, from the moment we arrived until the time we left we received excellent, smiling friendly service from the staff; Kimbo on reception and Jack at breakfast in particular. We were in the area to make a long awaited visit to a relative in a care home that had been shut since Christmas due to another extended outbreak of covid 19. Consequently we didn’t spend a lot of time at the hotel. However, we had a comfortable, quiet night’s sleep and a good breakfast that was cooked to order. Easy to find from the motorway and located in a residential area this would be a good base for a short stay to explore the north east. Perhaps the next door Toby carvery isn’t the best place for an evening meal but there’s plenty of choice in nearby Washington, Birtley and Chester le Street.

The staff were extremely friendly and professional. I stay here frequently and every visit is wonderful. Premier Inn employ lovely people, who are always generous with their help. I will always choose to stay at a Premier Inn rather than anywhere else.

What a lovely experience I had here, room was so clean couldn’t fault it at all and breakfast was amazing. I needed extra towels and a lovely gentleman who works there called Darren was very helpful and got this sorted for me. As for the breakfast I am vegetarian and my needs were catered by a young man called Jack and gentleman Colin: I would definitely stay here again and would recommend people needing to stay some where to stay here . Thank you for a warm welcome ( off a lovely gentleman called David ) and a lovely stay. We will be back soon !

We came up to Newcastle from Essex for a short family getaway. I cannot commend the staff at this hotel enough! Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The breakfast staff were very attentive and friendly, and the breakfast was delicious both mornings! The bedrooms were spotless and I had two of the best nights sleep I've had in a while! Thank you to you all!
