So many pros and cons for this hotel. We booked an offer though Wowcher, it include a nights stay with cream tea on arrival, 2 course evening meal and breakfast next day. Firstly we got there for 2pm checked in and asked for out cream tea straight away as I was hungry and wanted

Dear kylie2010, Thank you for your review of the hotel. The venue is extremely busy at times, and with the added complexity of the restaurant being closed for refurbishment works, this can have an effect on our usually high standards of service. The upstairs lounge area is not an ideal area for dining, and is something we are looking at whilst the restaurant remains offline. The breakfast service can be affected by the amount of guests dining at once. As your comments suggest, the restaurant was full, and as we operate a freshly cooked to order breakfast, there will be pressures on the team from time to time when guests all choose to dine at similar times. I am happy you found the room satisfactory, and also that you found the team friendly. Just for clarity, this hotel is a 3 star hotel, and whilst that is not meant to sound as an excuse for the perceived low level of service you received, I think it important to clarify the star rating. Thank you again for your review. Kind Regards Ian Callaghan

I am very late in this review as it was last year. Booked for my partners birthday, paid for flowers in the room on arrival. Asked at checking if they would be there and was told oh ugh sorry they have been delayed. I promoted this and I would have expected to be told. Had to

I booked The Oaks on behalf of the company I work for, for a 20th Anniversary celebration. We hired a room for the event and did also book some hotel rooms for some guests. Our main contact was Angelique. She helped us book the venue, answered all our questions and was only a

Dear Departure42855030131, Thank you for awarding us the full five star rating based on your last stay with us. As the new General Manager for this hotel I can certainly empathise with your comments regarding the maze of corridors, which for a charming hotel like this, I actually don't mind getting a bit lost. Once again, thank you for your review, and we look forward to welcoming you back in the very near future. Kind Regards Ian Callaghan

Dear Steven D, Thank you for your review. I can see that your stay did not meet your expectations. I note that you stayed with us in October. I only started in December 2018, but I certainly will be using your feedback regarding the maintenance and cleanliness. As for the layout, the building is an old house which is over a century old, and yes, the hotel is without a lift due to the listed status. All that said, I can imagine for some guests, the walk to the room can be a little annoying. I always advise guests to contact the hotel in advance if they have any specific requests, so that we are given the chance to meet and exceed expectations. Thank you once again for your review. Kind Regards Ian Callaghan

As far as I know all rooms are dog friendly so that shouldn’t be a problem. As for prices, I found much better deals for my stay online rather than booking with the hotel itself. Wowcher and Groupon tend to have some good deals so maybe look there. Hope this helps

Depends in the room you get as it seems to be different in each room, just call reception though, those lovely ladies will accommodate you.

Why not ask the hotel?

Not sure about the rooms but they do have two great jacuzzis near the lovely swimming pool.
