The Crescent Turner, Whitstable, is a stylish, 18-bedroom boutique hotel, set high up on Wraik Hill, overlooking the Kent coast. It has panoramic views of the sea and gorgeous surrounding countryside.
Whitstable is a family-orientated but fashionable seaside town - famous for its beach huts, Oyster Festival and quaint harbour. There are quirky, independent shops and galleries, Whitstable Castle and an increasingly popular arts festival - the Whitstable Biennale.
The Crescent Turner has individually designed bedrooms, a restaurant, bar, terrace area, gardens and - very importantly - its own Beach Hut on Whitstable beach, which guests may reserve. Bedrooms are spacious and light, many with sea views.
Head down to Whitstable for a family break or a romantic getaway. You'll love the subtle decor of this newly remodelled boutique hotel - less than two hours from central London. Of course, the beach is a major feature in summer, but Whitstable is busy and interesting all-year round, and there are wonderful walks in the Kent countryside and other pretty towns and villages to visit while you are here. The Crescent Turner Hotel
We stayed at the Crescent Turner and the room was lovely, a little dark if I am honest and it was off of the main reception. You could hear everyone coming and going and people had been using the bar in the evening ... it would have not been peaceful. Luckily we were not there for the evening and attended a wedding offsite. (Perhaps that is why we were given that room) The hotel were very accommodating with allowing us to check in early and even prepared some lunch for us, despite the fact the restaurant was not yet open. This was very kind of them and appreciated. Upon departure we have a challenge with the room rate charged. However, the young lady was not able to assist and referred to management. I will refrain from boring you with the details, however we checked out over 2 weeks ago and the matter is not yet resolved. Despite several mails and a 2 calls and despite believing the matter was resolved - sadly they seem to not care. Such a shame, the hotel was lovely in many ways and the staff we met were also great. This poor level of service has left a sour taste. Just be aware for your bookings, once you've checked out and they have your money, you are no longer important.…
Based here for our first team workshop after Covid. Fantastic location, lovely clean hotel, quirky , staff so accommodating , will return for holiday break soon. Thanks to Sarah and all the team for a unique experience, the food was well presented and lots of thought had gone into making a menu that's interesting not just run of the mill.
Such a transformation. Used to come here for the odd evening meal for special occasions. Went last night without knowing there were any changes. Well, what a change to the place. Roomy outdoor terrace with spectacular views. Fantastic tasteful decor. The food was very well presented and tasty. Sarah , was on the ball maintaining attention to detail. Felt some of the dishes should be inclusive of vegetables etc,as to add these on to some of the most expensive dishes , makes it overpriced. The Calamari was divine.Compliments to the chef. Lovely evening watching the sun go down, fabulous atmosphere, tasty food! We will return Thank you
Just had a delightful afternoon tea at the Crescent Turner hotel for four and it was excellent. The waitresses could not have been more polite and helpful - nothing was too much trouble. Our tea was delicious with a variety of very substantial sandwiches, lots of little cakes and lovely scones with jam and cream. They were also very careful to ensure I did not have any salmon in my sandwiches due to an allergy. Although we sat inside the doors to the dining room were opened wide and we enjoyed the stunning view over the estuary. Thank you, we will be looking for another excuse for a celebration now so we can do it all over again!
Drinks on the terrace with fantastic views across the estuary to the Isle of Sheppey followed by an excellent Sunday lunch. All of us enjoyed our choices- prawns, terrine, hake, sea bass, roast chicken followed by bannoffee pie or summer berry mess. Lovely food, excellent friendly but unobtrusive service.
