We visited Norton Grange as part of a coach trip from North Wales, and thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay. We had been a little apprehensive about the accommodation being in chalets, with a walk to the main building for all meals, entertainment etc. but it wasn't a problem, as the weather was mainly dry, and there was a cloakroom to hang your coats/jackets in as you walked into the restaurant, or you could just put them on the back of your chair. The chalets were pleasant, warm and cosy, lovely comfy beds, hot water and good shower. Tea/Coffee/milk & biscuits were replaced daily when the chalets were cleaned. Sensor lights came on as you walked along the pathways from the chalets. The staff were all very helpful. The restaurant was pleasant, meals were a mixture of buffet, and meals brought to your table if you ordered with your waiter, this applied both at breakfast and evening meals. This would have been five stars, but on the morning we left and had an early breakfast, there were no meals from the kitchen, it was just the buffet breakfast. This was disappointing, as we had not been warned this would happen, and were looking forward to our usual breakfast. It would have been better to have been told in advance. The entertainment was very good, the resident band and singer played every night for dancing, both before and after the main acts. On two nights the four resident entertainment team members, did song and dance from shows, and were great, they put 100% into it. We particularly enjoyed the comedian. We didn't take part in any daytime activities. The hotel is near enough to walk into Yarmouth, which is an interesting place where the ferry from Lymington runs too, there is a marina, and plenty of cafes and a few shops. Also there is a bus stop outside the main gate, which goes into Newport, where you can connect with any other bus services to visit other parts of the island. This is bus no.7 and every journey costs £3. The drivers were very helpful, even suggesting we try our welsh bus pass, which didn't work. We hope to visit again, as its an ideal place to visit at this time of year, admittedly a lot of the main tourist places were closed, but some are open, and of course its much quieter.

Booked a 4 day break in a garden suite (signature room). This was our 3rd Warners holiday, so booked the accommodation favoured by us (bedroom and lounge).
The room was lovely, newly refurbished, some minor issues (trunking of tv precariously fixed), generally a good and comfortable accommodation. Hanna our cleaner made sure that we had sufficient tea/coffee/biscuits etc and the room cleaned daily.
The only disappointment was in the dining experience. When we booked our holiday (around 6 months before), we could only book a late breakfast (9:15) and late ( for us) evening meal (7:30pm). We had managed to change this to 7pm a few days before we were due to arrive. When we arrived at the restaurant, our 2 person table was at the end of a row, a bit out of place. We found that the waiting staff had areas to cover, and we felt like an “add-on” that kept being forgotten. We established early on the the reason for the times of the meals was due to there being a number of coach trip guests, arrived en-masse and had plans of trips during the day so needed to have breakfasted and ready on the coach early. However, in general, the choice and quality of the food was good. (Having taken a photo of a menu from a previous Warners holiday, it appears that the menu doesn’t change, the only changes are the daily roasts and the chef speciality/speciality meals.)
There were activities available during the day and the evening entertainment but we were out during the day and did not attend any evening entertainment in the ballroom. A little disappointed that there was not a visible daily list of the activities going on - we only found out by chance there was a 10am quiz and potentially another quiz of an evening. There are plenty of card/board games for those wet days in or filling in time. There was a lack of playing cards, another guest lent us their cards.
The look of the holiday park has the resemblance of a “holiday camp”, the history information confirms that. All accommodation are in blocks of apartments, single story. The grounds are well cared for, some beautiful landscaping and an interesting large aviary, although not easy to see all the birds they could be heard. The aviary is away from the accommodation so does not impact on sleeping. There was no mention of the swimming pool when booking so had not taken our costumes, so saddened to know that we had missed out on this.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review following your relaxing break away to Norton Grange, Carol. I am delighted to hear you loved your accommodation, and I will mention to the team regarding the TV fixture! I am sorry to hear of your disappointment regarding the meal times available for your booking, however I am pleased to hear you were able to change this to an earlier time just in time for your break. I am sorry to learn of your sadness regarding having a pool onsite and not knowing before you arrived. We do have this mentioned on our website that on every break there will be access to an indoor swimming pool and sauna. I will be passing all of your feedback to the team onsite and we do hope we will get to see you back with us again. - Georgia

This was a last minute booking as I was rather concerned at some of the earlier reviews. It turned out to be a great stay and glad to say it was much better than expected! We have been to several of the Warner's hotels and whilst this may not be the most luxurious, it has a most attractive location right on the seafront, with lovely views from the bar and terrace. We were quite concerned that the accommodation would not be to Warner's normal high standard, as all that was left were standard rooms. However we were delighted to be allocated Freshwater 24, an end of block standard chalet at the back of the development, in a quiet location facing trees. This was a very recently refurbished chalet, which had been updated to a very good standard. It had new windows and also a window in the bathroom which let in a lot of light. Everything was fresh and clean and attractively designed. The bathroom was very nice with a big walk in shower and a light that came on automatically. For the price paid we were very happy! Set in delightful grounds, with lots of quirky features, including a lovely aviary and a pitch and putt course plus a bowling green. There were lots of things going on every day, more than in some of the others we have stayed in, but of course there are some very nice places to explore on the island so we didn't have time to take advantage of all of these during our 4 night stay. We found the food very good, with more than enough choice. Entertainment was good, with Travatori, a husband and wife tenor and soprano, being outstanding. Staff were very good, particularly in the dining room with a very friendly chef who took time to acknowledge everyone and a very good waiter Emanuel, who was excellent. There was also a good games room, which although dated, had a good range of things to play including pool, snooker, table tennis, shuffle board and darts. This was under used so always could play what we wanted. Also a small gym. We used the swimming pool, which was OK but could do with some updating, as could the outside of the main building.
We really did enjoy our stay and the fact that you get a good price for the ferry, made it a very affordable holiday. Would be very happy to visit again but would definitely request a refurbished chalet.

Establishment very well located, seafront, very clean, welcoming, numerous activities offered during the day and evening (orchestra and singers no disco only real), welcoming staff, attentive, available. The rooms are made daily if desired, the rooms are equipped with an iron and board, hairdryer and kettle. The complement of coffee pods, tea, sugar or aspartame and cakes are made every day. Very comfortable beds. The catering, a key point of such a stay, is impeccable: both in terms of the variety offered, breakfast or dinner, all without limits. The room staff is attentive to your needs, personally we had the waitress Kasia who I recommend for her smile, her availability, her natural kindness and her professionalism.

I booked the 'Turkey and Tinsel" break for myself age 76 and my sister age 79. My sister is disabled, which was explained when I made th booking> My sister was offered a Garden Room which is excellent for persons with mobility issues. As I am her Carer, I requested a room close to her should she need help. The allocated room was not close by, so the reception was able to provide a closer one.
On arrival the allocated parking space was unsuitable because it was at right angles to the other making and could easily have resulted in an unnecessary scrape. However I did manage to find other Blue Badge places that I could use. In peak season however, this will be problem.
Getting to the Garden Room from the car was up a slope, (slippery when wet) To my amazement the room was sited a long distance from the main entertainment area with no shelter from the rain. I was obliged to hire a mobility scooter at the cost of £15 per day to enable my sister to get from the room to the main area. The paths were badly damaged and the journey most uncomfortable for her as she has spinal issues.
As it was dark after dinner and the paths poorly lit, I had to drive the car from the car park to collect her every evening, thus restricting my ability to relax and have a glass of wine with my dinner.
The afternoon entertainment for those who couldn't get out was sparse, mostly quizzes or a movie.
The swimming pool was not very warm and the ladies changing room was communal and located one flight of stairs up and one metal flight down. thus unsuitable for persons with mobility issues. However itt did offer a hoist to lift the extremely disabled in and out of the pool.
The food was very good with plenty of choice and the staff couldn't have been more helpful.
On the plus side, when my sister had a very painful episode of Trigeminal Neuralgia, the two first aiders Alex and Gemma could not have been more kind and helpful.
In conclusion, this resort is not suitable for people with mobility issues. This should have been explained during the booking process. Had it been, I would not have made the booking and have chosen another location more suited to our needs.
I understand that the resort is due for some considerable refurbishment, this will not alter its suitability for the disabled unless suitable rooms are provided close to the main reception.

This I the most fantastic week. The entertainment was first class and all the facilities were brilliant. The afternoon activities were spot on and more could be done in the better weather. The food was first class and the service was brilliant. All the staff were attentive. I'd like to particularly mantion Christopher Gee and his Colleague Keith Slater who entertained us with his hilarious act and Keith Slater for his singing and guitar playing. All the other acts needs a mention as well but too numerous to mention. We had aqua Aerobics, crossbow shooting, lazer shooting, snooker bowls, outdoor chess, outdoor table tennis, cinema showing various films plus all the quizzes and afternoon entertainment in the dance hall and seafront bars. A very enjoyable and inexpensive 4 days away. The chalets were warm and well equipped with toiletries and biscuits supplied every day plus your bed made up if you wished, the buses were every half an hour to First Yarmouth and Newport and all over the island if wished and that was from directly outside the resort and you can use your bus pass on all the buses except the breeze which runs to alum bay as well as other parts of the island.

We spent the last three days here having travelled with a holiday coach company. Having booked based partly on what looked like a budget price, we were delighted to find that we received more like a 5-star experience. Everything was to our liking from the clean standard of the accommodation in our twin-bed chalet to the excellent food from a wide ranging menu to the quality of the evening entertainment we joined many of our fellow guests in singing the praises of the whole stay. Everyone of the friendly staff seemed intent on making our stay as pleasant as possible. Thank you to all concerned at Warners and well done. We will definitely return. J and B. Harpenden, Herts.

As a regular visitor to Warners over the last 20 yrs we visited Norton Grange where the grounds are the best we’ve ever seen throughout all Warmer sites.
Everything was near perfect, food, entertainment, efficiency and friendliness of staff, however, our 4 day break was marred due to the appalling accommodation we were allocated. We paid for a Signature Premier Chalet and we’re so disappointed with what we were greeted with! Bedside tables not useable due to blown Formica peeling away and dropping on the floor and in the drawers, dirty net curtains, part of the ceiling coming away and peeling, skirting boards with no paint, wardrobe door with paint eroded away, down to bare wood etc etc. We have stayed in better standard accommodation in both Corton and Lakeside! So why did I pay for a Signature experience, it’s not worth it for two fluffy dressing gowns and a few snacks!! We asked at Reception and the Holiday Shop if there was a refurbishment programme and they said a possible ‘soft refurb’ which is just decorative! Having visited Norton Grange a number of times over the years, we were left extremely disappointed with the accommodation! A soft refurb will not correct the issues we had. Be very careful if you book any Signature Experience here!

Warners, what can i say. You have definately done something right when it comes to Norton Grange. The staff there have always been friendly and professional and my friends and I love every visit we have had there. From Kim, Candise and Karen in the holiday shop always willing to help tailor a break with your needs first and foremost to the activities staff, Kieran and Marley who taught us crossbow and air rifle with much laughs but always making sure safety was first. We had two fantastic table staff for our visit, Holly and Daisy but did manage to talk to other staff who had served us in the past Andy and Heather. The food as always for us was extremely good with a good variety on all days. I would like to thank Stuart the entertainment manager and his very hard working staff Jill, Nathan, Mary and Harry for the exceptional show they put on on Sunday night. We all loved it and I can definately say it was one of the best shows you guys have put on! It was also really nice to see Harry catch on to the Pew Pew's lol. I would also like to thank the cleaning staff who looked after Freshwater chalets, after being the 1st to have use of one of these chalets last easter to having the same room for this visit i can honestly say the standard of upkeep was very impressive. All in all we had a great weekend at Norton Grange and i would recommend it to anyone wanting a relaxing enjoyable week/weekend away.

This is a lovely location with stunning views from the bar terrace over the western solent.
All accommodation is in chalets rather than hotel rooms and ours was a Premier Chalet with extra space for a couple of easy chairs. The room was basically clean but some of the décor was in need of some TLC – just little things like the bedside chest of drawers had covering peeling away; the bathroom tiles needing to be scrubbed clean.
The staff could not have been more helpful and pleasant. Our waitress, Fallon, was a Glaswegian lass who had a smile for us every meal and was very good with her inter-personal skills; nothing was too much trouble and she remembered our evening meal drinks after just one meal!
The food was up to the usual Warners high standard and there was plenty to choose from.
The swimming pool is almost circular and not very deep for about 33% of its area which restricts proper swimming. The changing rooms are up about 10 stairs and, once changed, you have to come down 10 stairs to the pool – not disabled person friendly! The changing rooms and pool were always clean and, again, the staff were friendly and helpful even remembering my name and room number (I did go swimming at least twice a day every day during our stay including the last quick swim before breakfast and leaving at 9:15am. The pool opened at 8am and closed at 5:30pm during our visit.
The daytime entertainment was not well used when we were there but the quizzes, morning and afternoon, were different to previous experiences – in a good way!
Unlike a lot of the other Warners Hotels we have stayed at, the site is not that large so it doesn’t take too long to walk around it. Be warned, from reception to the chalets is uphill and cars are only allowed to the first row of chalets and no further!
Would we return? No, simply because we do not like the chalet type of accommodation – our fault for not realising that when we booked. If it were a hotel, yes we would!

We always walk there as not too far, though watch out for traffic when crossing the road on the bend. Also, at the beginning of this month - October- the bridge was closed to traffic for a while. Pedestrians can walk across but buses and cabs can’t use the usual route.
There are more places to choose from in the Yarmouth area.
