Had a lovely welcome from Gina and Mike they made us feel really at home. Great breakfast in the morning with lots of choice with a cooked breakfast plus fruit and cereals and toast etc. Our room was great (double with en suite) which has a shower and a bath. Plenty of tea and coffee in the room with fresh milk from the fridge. The room overlooked a field with Llamas in and I believe also some times has alpacas in it as well. Saw red squirrels and different birds feeding in the garden. The B&B is in a great location just a 15 minute walk from the ferry and the town of Yarmouth (2 minutes in the car). Ideal location for exploring the Island. We will definitely return when next on the IOW.

we recently stayed at medlars for 2 nights. we had a wonderful experience. the whole house was immaculately clean. Gina the host was so friendly and welcoming. I felt like I was home. we stayed in the bedroom at the front of the house with an ensuite. the bed was giant, so comfortable and we loved opening the windows in the morning and hearing all the birds. we slept so well and the room was so quiet. the location is incredible as we specifically went to walk, we were right on the main bus route straight down to the needles. we arrived on the bus from Newport which was so simple. no need for a car as we were only 10 minutes walking distance to Yarmouth. the breakfast in the morning was delicious and Gina catered to our vegetarian & dairy free requirements. For some extra tips we had delicious food at The Piano, Dimbola House, Saltys & The Hut. Beautiful sunset down at colwell bay too, all on the bus route. Highly recommend this beautiful accommodation. Ooo I almost forgot glorious bath for achy bodies after your walk and amazing powerful and hot shower. Thank you Gina. xx

Gorgeous bed and breakfast in the middle of nowhere with a beautiful garden. On our first evening, the hostess was very gracious and gave us tea and offered breakfast in the garden the next morning. The breakfast was to die for, a full English breakfast with fruit, cereals and coffee.

Gina and Mike were very friendly and helpful; perfect hosts who took the time to speak to us regularly.
I can’t comment on any other room, but ours was spacious, clean, extremely neat and tidy and (what appeared to be) newly decorated.
Beds were comfortable and the beverage tray well stocked. There is even a little fridge downstairs containing fresh milk.
Breakfast was excellent with a selection of cereals and juices, as well as a great English.
Location is fantastic and the gardens are a joy; full of flowers, vegetables and teeming with wildlife (4 Reds seen within 200 metres).
Can’t wait to return!

This is our third annual visit to the Medlars, and we always choose to stay here. Gina is a lovely host, and the facilities are always clean, and well thought out. The 15 minute walk into the centre of town is lovely in the mornings. Breakfast is freshly cooked and plentiful, and the breakfast room overlooks the garden. We will be back next year!

We stayed four nights here at the end of September and were very pleased to have found it. It's a lovely house at the end of a private drive set well back from the road surrounded by pretty gardens. The rooms and bathroom were extremely clean and comfortable. The breakfasts were excellent - best I've ever had in a hotel or B&B; homemade jams, fresh fruit and delicious full English. The owners are charming and can't do enough for you, without invading your privacy. Will DEFINITELY stay here again and recommend it highly.

We stayed at Medlars overnight while walking the IoW Coastal Path. It was the best of several B&Bs that we stayed at. Weill worth the 10-15 minute walk to & from the centre of Yarmouth. Large, comfortable, bedroom & bathroom with tasteful decor, in keeping with the rustic nature of the property. Our hosts were friendly & helpful. The hot breakfast was excellent.

Stayed for two nights. Room very comfortable and clean. Due to good weather we had breakfast outside with the local red squirrels. Breakfast very good. WIFI very good. Mike and his wife were very helpful and friendly. Don't be put off by the location not being in the center of Yarmouth. Would definitely stay here again.

Amazing place and hosts. Would come back to the Isle of Wight just to stay here. Beautiful bedrooms especially the en-suite, stunning gardens and tasty breakfast. Hosts were so lovely, I was poorly so wasn’t able to enjoy my holiday as much as hoped but will be coming back. Variety of wildlife in the garden - seeing red swirls made my husband’s holiday.
