We didn't arrive until late at night after a long drive.
We had 2 rooms booked, one of which was an accessible room as the family members staying in that room consisted of one adult in a wheelchair and one with mobility issues who can't walk far.
We couldn't get parked outside and cars were parked all round the entrance (including the lowered pavement) so the wheelchair had to be pushed a long detour and the person who required help to walk had to walk a detour as 2 people (them and the person they were hanging on to) couldn't fit in between the parked cars.
Then it turns out that the accessible room is upstairs and a long way down the corridor. Not great for the person who has mobility issues and was already in pain from the walk from the car into the building and just wanted to sit down.
The other room was downstairs. We went to our room hoping there wouldn't be a fire scare as the two people in the room would not be able to get out by themselves. Also. Dont use lift in case of fire. How are wheelchairs meant to get out? I think putting the accessible rooms upstairs and at end of corridor is a rediculous idea. When I worked in a hotel these rooms were the first two rooms. Closest to reception. Also the hotel should paint 'no parking' in front of the lowered pavement in front of the entrance to the building.

Whilst check in (at the pub next door) was smooth and the room was fine, we found there were afew things that took the shine off of our stay.

First of all, there was no reception as the pub was closed in the morning when we had some questions.

Also, breakfast was poor. It was a bag with a couple of pastries, a cereal bar, an orange (provided with no means of eating it) and a carton of juice.

There was a funny alarm that kept going off on the door to our room.

Housekeeping knocked three times to clean our room when we hadn’t checked out. If a tag for the door was provided to say that we didn’t want housekeeping yet then this wouldn’t be a problem.

We stayed after a long day at peppa pig world. We booked in advanced with a great rate through booking.com we wanted the flexibility to cancel in these uncertain times. We stayed as a family with 3 children so booked two interconnecting rooms. The rooms were a great size ,very clean, lovely big power shower, really comfy beds !

We forgot to book dinner in the restaurant in advance but we managed to get a table just for drinks for an hour before heading up to our room for room service dinner which was lovely ! We shared the nachos and they were so good and big portion sizes!

Breakfast in the morning was plentiful for continental with a friendly waitress...

All in all a great stay I’m glad we made the trip over to the hotel after paultons oark (it’s about 30 mins ).

Where to start well if im honest they place is Ideally situated for Whiteley Shopping Village and was a perfect location for our trip to visit family.
We chose a Deluxe Room with Balcony . ( this looked over the car park which wasnt an issue even though weather was poor was nice to get some fresh air into the room) We did see inside a family room which was more equipped had a sofa bed in the room but was similar just with window and no balcony.
The Lodge is beautifully clean very modern and quirky. Cleaning Staff were super polite and helpful. Room and Bathroom were Spotless - No coffee machine in the Deluxe Room we had although it stated there should be Kettle and Few Sachets of Coffee and couple t bags. Large dispencers in bathroom Which has no bath just shower for shampoo and bodywash
However Down side is the TINY double bed it is a small small double and therefore if you are used to anything bigger it is not a comfortable nights sleep, I spoke to a few other couples in the morning and they agreed lovely place awful beds.
I did mention this at check out and the comment from i think she was Supervisor or Manager was oh. Not helpful when you wanting to pass feedback
Breakfast Included - Well dont expect much there is filter coffee or Tea Juice a couple of Toasters with some bread. Not so fresh looking pastries and a couple of tea plates with a few slices of salami or ham They were three bowls of chopped fruit pineapple or melon and some small pots of yoghurt.
For location it is great but would i stay again NO shame as loved the hotel itself just beds are not good and couldnt do another night no sleep like that.
Sort the Beds and I would love to come back

Check in was really quick and easy. We were staying in the lodge, not the main hotel which worked for us as we could come and go as we please without disturbing any staff members as it's in a separate section to the main hotel. The communal areas were very clean and the room is immaculate. We managed to work out the aircon as the room was quite hot when we arrived but cooled down pretty quickly and it didn't make too much noise. We are particularly fussy with beds and pillows but both were extremely comfortable and we got two pretty good nights sleep. The shower was really nice, the pressure of the shower head was perfect! We had breakfast both days, the first morning we just had the included breakfast items which I had no complaints about and the second morning we opted to pay extra for the full English. The breakfast was tasty and the service was great. The room we were in had a locked connecting door to the room adjacent to us which appeared to have affected the sound proofing of the room as we were woken up quite early on the first morning as we could clearly hear their television on. We could also hear them getting ready etc in their room.

We stayed here on our way to the Southampton Cruise Terminal and were really impressed by the Lodge at Solent.

It has a modern quirky decor throughout and is attached to a lovely friendly pub that serves the breakfasts.

The rooms are well designed with a large bed, there is plenty of space throughout. The shower is roomy and powerful.

The pub next door also sells reasonable priced meals and a great selection of beers (just what you want after a long drive!)

I would highly recommend a stay here it’s one of the nicest budget hotels I’ve ever stayed.

Location is good nice walks nearby and close to everything you need. Unfortunately the rooms are not great they don’t have a fridge which was a real issue for me having a baby and no where to keep his milk, we were given 1 toilet roll for 5 people 2night stay and only 3 towels so felt like we were scrapping by which I don’t feel you should have to staying in a hotel. Aircon wasn’t working we reported it 3 times but he just kept saying it was working With 5 people in 1 room and 1 tiny window that hardly opened during a heatwave it really wasn’t fun the manger offered a room change but our children were in bed and he said he would get someone in the next day so we stayed put but never did!

The food was awful however the manger did give us the food free when we raised the issue also the doors are all left open due to COVID which is great but the outside tables are within a meter or 2 of the door and people are smoking on them so the pub was full of smoke! The breakfast is being delivered to the room over night and left outside the door again awful - warm juice no tea or coffee (it’s doesn’t get filled up during stay so you can’t use stuff out the room) brown apples and cold dry croissant really poor!

Just on our way back after an overnight stay. Felt very peaceful after a hectic day at Peppa Pig World. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Parking was easy and there was plenty of space. We parked the car literally outside our room window.

Breakfast was nice. We weren’t expecting much as we knew it was continental rather than a cooked breakfast. But there was plenty to eat and service was polite and friendly.

There’s a Lidl literally across the road, so we saved £££ buying lunch from there rather than from PPW.

We would definitely come back again if visiting Peppa Pig World.

Stayed in February 2022 for one night, and glad it was only one night. The room was obsoletely freezing and the individual thermostat heater just blew cold air. I heard several other guests stating the same at breakfast and they also stated they wouldn't stay again due to that.

Check in (reception) was in the neighbouring hotel so visiting to report the heating after turning in meant getting dressed and walking across a car parking area in the rain.

I get that the odd room heater may become faulty but at £110 per night I would assume that the service staff would check such as the room heater after or during cleansing.

Very poor.

A nice room, clean but no more than Premier Inn standard. Finishing touches let it down, no wardrobe space - just a hanging rail, duvet cover was ripped, no drinking water in the room, just two coffee sachets and no biscuits, carpet stained. Price was £176 for a standard room only, continental breakfast a further £19 (which was charged twice) but cutlery was dirty and certain items had already run out by 9:30, so overall we were left feeling disappointed. Only saving grace was the waitresses who served us at dinner and breakfast who were both excellent.

I booked through another site and it was an option I was able to choose. It was more money but bare in mind it’s in a different part of the main hotel so you can’t use their facilities( so I was told after)

We did this. Parked in car park. Stayed the night. They organised and paid for a taxi to the dock the next day. Gave us number to call for taxi when we got back. Taxi came to Dock and collected us. Took us back to hotel. We jumped out taxi and into our car and drove home. Easy!
