Exactly what I wanted. Clean, basic, good quality bed. In exactly the right place and close to the motorway. Staff were helpful and friendly. One minor glitch was overcome immediately. When leaving the staff gave us a friendly goodbye

This premier inn is situated off the main road into Gosport, on a leisure complex. There is plenty of parking, free. This premier inn must be new, or recently refurbished as was in good condition e.g. carpets and furnishings.

The A/C worked well, I was lovely and cool overnight. I did not hear any neighbours, good soundproofing.

The check in process was easy and she didn’t read out my room number which is a good safety measure for single women. The checkout process was easy - just pop the keycard in the box.

My one criticism of my stay is that Breakfast was an absolute shambles. The Covid measures means that the buffet breakfast can not be accessed by customers, you order from the waiter. The staff were friendly and tried their best but they’re not set up for service this way. We had about 3 waiters bringing us loads of food, about 10 different things on the table because everything came separately, but no basics like cutlery, napkins, sugar, salt or pepper. My tea came with milk in it although I ordered it without and there was a layer of tea leaves floating on the top - I highlighted the error but never got another one. Also Fresh fruit was on the menu but not available as a delivery had not arrived. I understand that Covid measures needs to be in place but this area needs to be looked at for a better way of doing things.

Dear Heleno93, Thank you for taking the time to review Premier Inn on Trip Advisor. From your description of the hotel it does sound as tough you were staying at our Gosport Premier Inn (Fareham does not have A/C, and is situated near Segensworth and the M27). I will pass on your review to our Gosport site and I'm sure they will take steps to improve breakfast service. Kind regards, David

I booked in to stay here on Boxing Day after a busy day visiting my parents who live in the area, I literally wanted something cheap and cheerful and was pleasantly surprised with the service and quality we received.

We had a family room for myself and my three children, the bed were all super comfy and the room was lovely and warm. We all slept really well and didn’t hear any noise overnight - even from upstairs (we were ground floor).

We had breakfast the next morning and this really was standout, they had such a HUGE selection of things, both continental and cooked, if you have fussy eaters there was something for everyone. The cooked was laid out buffet style but with the chef right there and it was all warm and fresh (not always the case with a buffet). Lots of staff refreshing drinks and offering assistance.

I was expecting to pay between £30/40 for the breakfast but was surprised to learn that the kids are free! Fantastic value.

Overall we really enjoyed staying and had such a restful night, I would definitely stay with premier inn again over something cheaper like travel lodge the difference in quality was huge.

Very pleasant.
We were greeted by Michelle, with a happy smile and immediately shown to a table.
Great breakfast, Tara made the most perfect poached eggs on request, Matt and Sophia were also great, flying around clearing and topping everything up.
We left full and happy.

We stayed here for our first family trip away with our 19 month old toddler. We stayed here as it was close to Paultons Park and we booked the non refundable room so it was cheaper. We were supposed to be travelling with relatives however, due to having to isolate they couldn’t come. They also booked a non refundable room and the lovely gentleman on reception gave them a refund due to the circumstances. This was off his own back and not prompted and it was only because of his kind gesture that we didn’t complain about any of our issues. Check in is at 4pm so a deep clean can be done. However, the room was not clean. The glasses were dirty, there was dust and cobwebs with a spider. The toilet at first glance looked like it had blood or poo splattered around but on inspection and cleaning we realised it was rust from the toilet hinges. The shower head was also dirty with pink scum. The room was so hot and humid, they did however, provide a fan but we couldn’t have this on due to the gaps being to wide our daughter would have been able to put her fingers in. The website advertises that all rooms have smart TVs with the ability to screen mirror. However, these TVs could not do that. We took plenty of toys for our daughter but there was nothing suitable she could watch when we came back in the evening. We did address this, but we’re just given an apology. One morning at 9:45am we booked a table for breakfast for 10am. £9.50 per person. When we arrived for our table with our one year old we were told we had 15mins to order and eat our food because they needed to shut down. Why weren’t we told this when we booked the table. A toddler cannot eat this fast. Whilst eating staff came to our table to ask if they could take any plates, so we felt very rushed and we definitely did not get our money’s worth. We were only here for three nights, we would have complained but we didn’t want to complain to the gentleman on the front desk as he was so friendly and thoughtful to us. If we take our daughter to Peppa Pig World again we will definitely not stay here.

Dear nicoleeverett, Thank you for taking the time to review us on Trip Advisor. I am sorry to hear that your stay with us did not live up to our usual high standards. I will be investigating the issues with cleanliness that you experienced as well as the issue with the TVs. As for your issue at Breakfast, I quite agree that this is not acceptable. Our breakfast midweek runs until 10:30am, meaning guests can come down at 10:30 and expect to have a relaxed and enjoyable, all you can eat breakfast. I am so sorry that this incident has taken place and I will be speaking to the breakfast team involved to ensure that this does not happen again. Here at Premier Inn we pride ourselves on our exceptional breakfast and I am so disappointed that we have not given you and your family that experience. If you do decide to stay with us in future, please call ahead and ask to speak to me. I will ensure a free breakfast is added to your room so that you can enjoy a restful and tasty breakfast on us. Kind regards, David

Overall, our stay was OK however the cleanliness could have been improved somewhat. We were greeted by a young lady in reception who was very professional. Upon entering the room there was a spider in the corner that had made a web all the way across two walls. It had certainly been there some time to create the webs that it had. There were also webs near the bottom of the wall which suggests there could have been another hiding. I went back to the girl on reception to which she got a feather duster out of the cleaning cupboard. She was scared of spiders (as were we) and wasn't sure about doing it herself so I suggested I do it instead as I could see she was worried about doing it herself and I didn't want to put her through the ordeal (she was great). I managed to clean all the webs and get rid of the spider. The manager was informed by the girl and we received an apology but this is something that the cleaners should have picked up prior to our stay. There was also what looked like a fake tan stain on the toilet seat that wouldn't come off so this should have been scrubbed with bleach and limescale at the bottom of the bowl.

My son slept on the pull out bed which was incredibly hard and could have done with a thicker mattress so he didn't sleep very well.

There was also a strange humming noise most of the night which sounded as though someone kept turning a lawnmower on and off. Our fan was off and it was every 30 seconds or so so it didn't seem as though it was coming from another room either.

At breakfast, there were two female members of staff chatting throughout most of the time we were eating. We could see there wasn't much for them to do though so it wasn't an issue for us but others may see it as unprofessional.

Nicely situated hotel for day trips around Hampshire. TGI friday right next door which was handy for a drink with no driving involved. Easy check in, friendly staff. The rooms were spacious, clean and tidy with fans provided. Very hot rooms and the window only opened a couple of inches. A bit of noise from the traffic mornings but with the window closed would probably cause minimal problems. A lot of noise from the room above which woke us at the crack of dawn every day both over my room and my daughters. You can hear every footstep (please people, if you have rooms below you, try and walk more gently). The only real issue was breakfast. As we were down for a later slot by the time we arrived all the popular items were gone. You were left with the things no one else wanted. Scrap ends of fresh fruit, no pancakes, crumpets, white bread, croissants, bagels, dried up scrambled eggs, no beans. Felt rushed to finish up as they started cleaning up ten minutes before they were supposed to. If you have a late breakfast slot you'll probably be better off going to a local cafe. Would definitely stay again but wouldn't bother with the breakfast.

Dear haideesmum, Thank you for taking the time to review us on Trip Advisor. We are lucky to have great access to the M27 leading to Portsmouth and Southampton. I am sorry to hear that you had a bad experience with our breakfast. We pride ourselves on our Premier Breakfast and it is a shame that we have let you down on this part of your stay. I hope it will not put you off trying the breakfast again, when the country's supply lines are back to normal and we can offer the full range to all our guests, no matter what time they arrive in the restaurant. We hope we see you again soon. Kind regards, David

Lovely stay enabling us to explore the area. Good value Comfy bed and room and cooked breakfast which had everything you needed to start the day. Breakfast room staff were very attentive and one girl was very chatty and interested in what we were doing, which was nice. Unrelated restaurant opposite (TGI Fridays) was expensive..£15 for burger but cocktails were good at £10 !

Premier Inn are normally OK, room was clean and tidy and as expected, good parking, easy check-in. Only evening food on site was TGI Fridays next door, this was expensive and very busy, they also played loud music outside the restaurant, which could be heard in the rooms, they were playing loud music until 11.30pm long after the restaurant closed which was very annoying. The bed and pillows were not very comfy. There was a decent chippy less than 100m away with good food which was much cheaper that eating alone in Fridays

Dear andysheldon, Thank you for taking the time to review us on Trip Advisor. We have contacted the management of TGI Fridays, which are not part of the hotel, to ask that the music outside the restaurant be turned off at a suitable time. I am sorry that this affected your stay with us. You are right about the chippy, though. Many of our guests use it and I have never heard a bad review. Kind regards, David

Recently stayed here for two nights, meeting up with family from France. Comfortable room but too high up so Cloè happily helped us move to a lower room. Cloè also gave me two free Premier Inn story books for the children and was kind and helpful in other ways.
The breakfast are good here at Premier Inn, I like it that it’s buffet style so I can eat specifically what I want and in what sequence I have it. It’s hot, tasty and well cooked and there is an excellent variety. If you book it in advance it’s slightly cheaper.
The bed and the pillows are clean and very comfortable and usually there is a bath. The tv is a good size with loads of channels, the WiFi is good and free. Black out curtains at the window ensure a good night sleep. I like that there are friendly signs everywhere asking you to be quiet and respectful if other guests.
Tea and coffee in the room. All you need fir a perfect stay. We’ve booked again for November. Would highly recommend.

How far are you from cruise ports
Answer from FarAway646799
We are midway between Portsmouth International Port and the Docks at Southampton. There are closer Premier Inns to both locations, but we do benefit from free parking and easy access to the M27. We get many cruise guests who return to us as they know the location is good.
