Travelodge Eastleigh Central earns high marks for its value, with many guests applauding its affordability, although a few raise concerns about additional unexpected costs. The hotel's clean and modern atmosphere, especially during festive seasons, adds to its charm. Cleanliness is a standout feature, with fresh facilities and rooms. While the convenient location near dining and transport is popular, some guests mention noise issues. The friendly and professional service is often highlighted, but limited amenities such as paid Wi-Fi and lack of parking are drawbacks for some travelers.

I stayed for 5 nights. The place is unexceptional. The unattended entrance and welcome desk is quite uninviting and a little grubby. Lifts quite dingy.

My room was small but clean and the bed was very comfortable. There is nowhere to put things. My suitcase had to stay on the floor and anything that wouldn’t hang from a coat hanger had to stay there too. The desk area could have been bigger and it would have been good to have a more comfortable chair. I felt that the room was overpriced with charges inflated because of the August holiday.

The bathroom was clean. Water at the sink was very low pressure - a trickle. The shower produced more water but lacked power.

Having paid up front for a week’s internet access, I found that it wasn’t working. The flustered member of staff who told me that there’d been a problem for at least a week told me that she couldn’t do anything about it because it’s supplied directly from Virgin Media. Several calls by me to the Virgin helpline got the fault fixed the following day. There was no follow up by staff to offer to sort it out or to suggest alternatives.

There was no explanation or information about where one might get breakfast or other meals. Thank goodness for the Wetherspoons pub next door.

It’s a long time since I stayed in Travelodge. I think it will be a long time until I stay in a Travelodge again.

Overall: unimpressed.

Good location close to mainline Train Station. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. Double rooms comfortable and warm, not the best mattress but serviceable. Rooms at the front some traffic and train noise. Bathrooms clean, fixed shower head, low water pressure, due to air filter. Disabled room large but hard, uncomfortable mattress, low bed. Cool flexible shower (not hot) with low water pressure. Friendly helpful Reception staff. No breakfast facility (just a breakfast box). Wetherspoons next door, serves a decent breakfast at a reasonable price and the usual beverages offered at Eastleigh station with a smile, for a quick grab and go before your commute. Overall not luxury but, convenient for a reasonable price.

I stayed at Travelodge Eastleigh Central last night.
The price was very reasonable for a last minute booking. The hotel is in an excellent location; directly opposite the train station, a short walk from the town centre and within easy reach of Southampton Airport. Whilst there's no restaurant on site, there is a Wetherspoons next door and plenty of options in Eastleigh Town centre.
Check in was quick, and the receptionist was very friendly.
My 1st floor room was acceptable for a night. A little small compared to most Travelodges, but not uncomfortable. The bed was large and comfortable, and the temperature was just right.
On the downside, there was a fair bit of dust in the ensuite, one of the towels had several large holes in it, no glasses are provided and the coffee was awful.
If you can get a decent rate, it's a perfectly acceptable hotel for a one night stopover, but I wouldn't want to stay for much longer.

I stayed here recently while visiting family living in the area. This is always my 'go to' place to stay and as always I wasnt disappointed. Mandy on the front desk was friendly and helpful as was another member of staff who I spoke to when checking out. My room was clean and well furnished with a very comfy bed and pillows 🙂 Location of this hotel is very central to the town with excellent links to rail and motorways as well as Southampton airport so is an ideal choice of a well priced hotel if wanting to visit or explore the local area.

I booked a twin room for two nights, despite the staff claiming I booked double room and they were doing me a favour giving me a twin room for a disabled person, but the room in would be more in place in a sanatorium. The twin beds were made for children or those vertically challenged being less than 29inches wide and less 20 inches off the floor. The bathroom smelt awful, having no trap in the shower waste to stop smells coming up from the soil pipe. The room was hot and stuffy, the electric fan was more for show than practicality. To avoid suffocation, the open window let in more noise than fresh air. Although the website might mention the hotel's location was loud, there is no mention that the hotel sits on a train station and in the flight path for Eastleigh airport, perhaps an ideal location for train or plane spotters. But utterly useless for those wanting a good night's sleep. The television the size of a postage stamp offered no relief from the outside noises. The website should advise guests to bring binoculars in order to get satisfactory use of the television. Despite the room being a twin, the beds were places together to hide the skanky carpet adorned with a huge tear!

The room was quite disgusting, noisy and suffocatiing, it was not what I had booked, the advice on parking is adhoc at best boarding even bordering on creativity, I had to drive around the town twice before finding a parking slot in a dodgy street. The staff were unsympathetic, not caring in the slightest and stated that the hotel was doing me a favour by giving me a twin room regardless of the condition!

Although rather soul-less the carpeting and good quality furnishings made this hotel room feel comfortable particularly with the spotlessly clean carpet which absorbs noise and gives a level of warmth and comfort. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Great location for train station, car parking, shops and entertainment. I was pleased to be in a rear room of the hotel as the front faces the road and trains so suffers with noise from outside.

Stayed at Eastleigh Central when having to isolate due to coming into the country for work obligations.
The hotel staff were friendly and helpful with delivering my food to my room and left me clean towels and extra tea and coffee daily.
During these difficult times I know they did as much as they could and made my stay as pleasant as possible .. thank you all!!

Staff really lovely helpful , room was compact but had everything we needed for the overnight stay , some road noise but did not stop us sleeping . Comfy bed and fan in room which we used and stayed cool .
We had no issue parking arrived Saturday evening and parked directly opposite in the train station £7 paid by an app .
Dog friendly and a near by park to walk , pointed out to us by staff .
Only thing I would say is that it would benefit from new windows to help with the street noise .

After a day spent travelling back to the UK we arrived at the Eastleigh Central Travelodge late evening for our one night stay prior to flying back home. We were warmly greeted by the receptionist who checked us nice and quickly. Ten minutes later we were next door (Wetherspoons) ordering our dinner. After a great nights sleep we had a good lie in as we had booked late check out. At around 10am I went to reception and spoke to Mandy who was very pleasant and most helpful in sorting out a taxi for the airport. Our room was comfortable and of a good size with a nice sized , fully functioning bathroom. We use Travelodge a lot for overnight stays when travelling and really don't think they can be beaten for value. The Eastleigh Central hotel is in a great location being a short drive from the airport and literally across the road from the train station. It also has Eastleigh town centre just around the corner and the previously mention Wetherspoons next door , which might not be to everyone's taste but gave us a reasonable and cheap dinner and breakfast whilst we were there.
Altogether we were most happy with our stay here - thanks Mandy.

I had a dreadful night's sleep last Friday (17th Sept 2021)!
On the plus side the room and the bedding were clean. The carpet was just about adequately clean.
The room was hot for duration of our stay. No air conditioning. There was a fan in the room but it was inefficient. So we just couldn't cool off all night.
The pillows were very uncomfortable and hard (seemed very cheap and foamy).
The extra 'family' bed provided was not standard size, and was way too small for my 6ft son.
The family room was way too small for three people (2 adults and a 16 year old). There was not enough space to put our belongings.
No bedside tables for our books, water glass, spectacles, etc.
Not enough plug sockets in the room, and none on the side of the bed, which meant that the flex from my husband's CPAP machine had to be stretched across the room during the night, creating a major trip hazard for us all in the dark! Also We couldn't charge our phones at the bedside, so we're unable to use them as clocks/alarms while we slept. There were three of us in the room. We had the fan and the CPAP machine plugged in, which left just 2 plug sockets for other devices.
The tap and the sink in the bathroom were not compatible. Every time I turned the tap on the water came out with such force that it shot up the side of the basin and soaked me.
There was minimal refreshments in the room. Definitely not enough for 3 people.
No hand towels, only bath; which meant I had nothing to wrap my hair in once I'd got out of the shower.
There was no nearby parking, which meant that we had to walk our belongings for about 5 mins, from the long stay car park down the road.
No facility for breakfast. Just breakfast boxes.
The whole place was unremarkable. It is not somewhere I will every stay in again.
The last time we stayed at a Travelodge was about 5 years ago, in Hampshire, and we had similar issues. The only reason we had to book into one again was because the Southampton boat show was on and the Premier Inns were full.
I can't see us staying in a Travelodge ever again, unless I am.compelled to do so, or they 'up their game'.

Only just saw the question! We travelled by rail so looking for a car park does not occur to us, sorry. The railway is directly opposite the hotel and if you have a front viewing window you can watch the trains from your window. Enjoyed our stay very much.
