First your given a warm welcome by the excellent reception team. Karen and Matt where outstanding, the service and care whilst we where was outstanding.Always on hand to help. We had a wedding there and all 60 guest where made to feel relaxed. The rooms are cleaned regularly to a high standard by Michael. The gym is of a high standard, open 24 hrs. The hotel is right in the heart of Cleveland and is easy walking distance to everywhere. With restaurant and shop near by.
The hotel is beautiful - lobby has beautiful architecture, a nice restaurant/bar and rooms have nice views! It's in a great location for site seeing, Rock N Roll Hall of Fame and sports stadiums -- and restaurants are all within walking distance. A special thanks to Amber and Janice for great service!
Poor value for money I spent 4 nights here in July 2022. It’s a pleasant hotel but there’s just no need to stay here. You’re better off staying on the outskirts of Cleveland for the following reasons: - parking here is $16 a day - breakfast is not included - there is no servicing of rooms unless you request it. There’s no discount in recognition of this reduction in service - there is little to nothing to do in downtown Cleveland. In short, underwhelmed
Stayed here for a conference last month. All the staff were really welcoming, happy to help and knowledgeable. Matt at the front desk was excellent, providing great recommendations/directions and helpful. Seth was also a stand out- he took great care of us as our group spent time in the bar/dining area.
Checked in Friday July 8th for 2 nights , 2 rooms. Was granted 10am check in for both rooms. Very nice lobby and bar/restaurant. Rooms are a little dated but thats ok the hotel makes up for it with superior service. Would stay here again !!!!!
Welcome service at front desk was wonderful. Super friendly and helpful check-in by Mary who went above and beyond by helping us find parking for our minivan that wouldn’t fit in the on-site garage due to the Thule roof box, and also readily switched our room from a king bed to two doubles with no hassles at all. Certainly helped make for a seamless and welcoming check in experience after the long drive from Boston. Hotel overall is fresh, with new updates throughout. M Lounge was well stocked and is a great feature for us - to grab a cup of tea, waters, juice and snacks. Will be back!
we stayed here the first week of July. We found the staff very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent in the lobby as well as the attached food venues. The hotel is well placed within the downtown area and makes for an easy walk to most things. The only downfall we could find was the lack of housekeeping staff. our room was not touched all week which for us wasn't a problem as we are very capable of making our own bed. The housekeeping staff and front desk were quick to respond to any requests we have for firmer pillows and more coffee packages etc,
👎👎👎Checked in at 1pm. Said they'd get us a rollaway. Back to the room at 10 no rollaway. 30 minutes later still don't have one. Here we sit waiting to go to bed and can't. Extremely disappointed will not stay here again
Just a pleasure to stay - clean, awesome facility, centrally located, a posh experience! Much better than the Hilton! Thought the M lounge was amongst the best lounges I have ever seen in the Mariott banner. Much Love and reccomedation.
Arrived in the afternoon a little after 4pm. Porter service was prompt to take our bags out of the car and bring them into the hotel. This is one of those strange properties though where the bellman who takes the bags out of the car hands them off to another bellman inside the hotel. That is what is supposed to happen. We did not know this and after the bags were placed on the cart outside we walked inside to check in. We were waiting in line when we noticed the cart with all our bags just sitting in the middle of the lobby with no one attending to it and the porter walking back outside. There was one bellman off in the corner of the lobby not doing anything and not paying attention. Not sure why our bags were not handed off to him. Realizing that the porter from outside was not going to be bringing our bags up to the room (when we planned to tip) my husband had to walk out and tip him then. We just decided to bring our bags up to the room ourselves since the lobby bellman did not appear to be interested in assisting with bags. Check-in was a bit of an issue as well. I had reserved a Corner King Room with Lake and Stadium view and M Club lounge access. Checking in the agent was not overly friendly. I asked to confirm that we were getting a Corner King with lake view as we reserved. Her response was "I don't have that". I had to ask her what she meant. She said "I can get you a lake view King but I don't have a corner room". I asked her if she meant that the corner room was not ready yet, as in not clean and she said yes. This was frustrating as it was after 4pm which was check-in time. I told her I specifically reserved the corner room as a category on their website and that it was more expensive. She said she would adjust the rate for the lake view King. I said that wasn't acceptable and said we would wait for the room I booked to be ready. She said okay and would let us know when it was ready. We took a seat in the lobby and waited about 10 minutes before the agent came over to give us our keys. As she tried to run off I had to flag her to confirm that we did have the M Club access which she said we did, and then had to ask her where it was and how we accessed it since she did not explain anything. We had a room on the 16th floor. The view was great on the corner looking out over the downtown, the stadium and Lake Erie. The room was in fine shape and not all dated and worn like other recent reviews have described. Bed was very comfortable but the pillows were flat. Water pressure in the shower was poor. Room had a small refrigerator which was handy. We ordered room service for dinner one night. It was delivered in plastic bags and boxed containers. I know that hotels switched over to things like that when Covid started but now it's just starting to look like an excuse to keep cut backs on services especially when plenty of other hotels are doing full room service on carts again. We only checked out M Club for breakfast each morning. It's a large space but was very busy each morning. There was some convention going on and they all seemed to flock to the club. They have a variety of cereals and fruits, breads and pastries and a few hot items like scrambled eggs, potatoes, and sausage or bacon. When we arrived the first morning it was around 8:45 and the eggs were gone with only a couple pastries left. There was no staff in sight. After waiting around for about 5 minutes the club manager appeared. He was pleasant but when I saw he wasn't going to check what was empty or getting low at the food stations I asked if more eggs were coming and he seemed surprised but said he'd bring more out. My husband asked if there were any more croissants as they were all gone. The manager went into the back but instead of replenishing the pastry station which had maybe three pastries left, he opened the box of pastries for my husband to pick what he wanted then brought the box into the back again. It all felt very penny pinching. The eggs made their appearance finally 6 or 7 minutes later after a small line had formed of guests waiting. Second morning was better with more items available. We were able to ask for to go containers to take food items back to our room as we did not want to dine in the club due to Covid. Lobby of the hotel looks very nice but is poorly designed as there is a bar right across from the front desk that was consistently busy with very loud patrons. The lobby's design made it a giant echo chamber so it was extremely difficult to hear the agents at the front desk. Hotel location was convenient for exploring downtown Cleveland which is why we booked. But I would caution people to be very careful after dark. Just a block or so from the hotel is the Public Square which is very nice during the day but becomes a bit scary at night. We had visited the Jack Casino on the other side of the park and then had a short walk around 10pm back to the hotel. There were groups of unsavory people hanging in the park, and while we used the sidewalks to circle around the park were approached twice by two different characters and had to walk swiftly back to the hotel. I'd recommend taking an Uber wherever you need to go after dark. This hotel needs to up the service level as it is a nice property physically. We would probably check out other hotels like the nearby Hilton if visiting Cleveland again.…
